Sony has celebrated the PS5 and its games in a short trailer. Many comments underneath express anger, frustration, and disappointment. They feel misunderstood by Sony and are still holding the company accountable for the end of discs.
Sony does not tire of emphasizing how well the home console is suited for GTA 6. At times, it even gives the impression that GTA 6 could be an exclusive PlayStation title.
In the meantime, Sony has released a new advertisement titled “It Happens on PS5” to show players what they can currently play on the PS5 or will be able to play soon. However, players have not forgotten that Sony announced the end of discs a few weeks ago. Accordingly, the reactions have been very angry and frustrated.

If you look at the reactions to the official YouTube video, which has now been viewed by more than 200,000 people, the reactions are very negative. Of the more than 4,000 comments, most reply with mockery, derision, and above all, anger. And it is not the first time that players’ anger is vented under an official YouTube video.
The most upvoted comment explains: “Once there were still discs on the PS5”, referencing both the title of the video and Sony’s far-reaching decision.
The whole dissatisfaction of the users is also clearly reflected in the other comments and makes it clear that fans do not want to let the situation rest.
In the meantime, Sony has also commented extensively on the end of discs and the reactions, but many players still feel misunderstood. And it’s not just players who are affected, but also retailers and individuals who cannot afford to buy a game at full price every day and prefer to rely on the used market.
Many still hope that Sony will reconsider its decision against discs. However, it seems unlikely that anything will change regarding the decision. This is evidenced by the most important facility for disc production in Austria.
