One of them is Deoxys (Attack Form), which has the highest attack value. However, its defense and stamina are so poor that it is not even listed among the top 10.

With a moveset of Confusion and Psychic, Mewtwo also inflicts good damage on opponents and is relatively fast. You should definitely not miss a strong Mewtwo in your Psychic team. However, keep in mind that Psychic is an event attack that you can only obtain through a charged TM.

Moreover, Mewtwo serves as a true all-rounder in the game, as it can access a variety of other attacks besides its typical Psychic moves. Thus, it is also one of the best Ice attackers in Pokémon GO.

2. Hoopa (Unbound)

The mysterious Pokémon Hoopa (Unbound) comes from the 6th generation. It is a Psychic and Dark type. Hoopa is a shape-shifter. It has an unbound and a bound form.

The unbound Hoopa has a slightly higher attack value than Mewtwo, but is slightly weaker in stamina and defense. With its moveset of Confusion and Psychic, it also does some damage to the opponent, but takes a bit longer than Mewtwo with Psychic.

Can Hoopa (Unbound) be caught as Shiny? No, the Shiny version of Hoopa (Unbound) is not yet available in Pokémon GO.

3. Latios

Best Moveset: Zen Headbutt and Psychic

Another strong Psycho attacker is the Dragon and Psychic Pokémon Latios. The legendary Pokémon hails from the 3rd generation and can occasionally be found in level 5 raids.

Latios also impresses with its high attack value, which is slightly lower than that of Mewtwo. However, its stamina and defense are better than Hoopa (Unbound), allowing it to withstand more damage in battle.

With Psychic, it has a strong charged attack that inflicts considerable damage on the opponent. However, with its fast attack Zen Headbutt, it takes a bit longer to charge Psychic. Moreover, Latios can also score as one of the best Dragon attackers.

4. Metagross

Best Moveset: Zen Headbutt and Psychic

The Steel and Psychic Pokémon Metagross is the final evolution of Beldum. It comes from the 3rd generation of games.

Metagross also benefits from a high attack value, but can also score well with solid defense. Therefore, it can survive a bit longer in battle as well. With its moveset of Zen Headbutt and Psychic, it has a strong charged attack, similar to Latios, but it takes a bit of time to use it.

Can Shiny Metagross be caught? Shiny Metagross is already available in Pokémon GO, but it cannot be caught. To obtain it, you must catch Shiny Beldum and evolve it into Shiny Metagross.

5. Hoopa (Bound)

8. Latias

Best Moveset: Zen Headbutt and Psychic

The counterpart to the legendary Pokémon Latios is Latias. It also belongs to the legendary Pokémon of the 3rd generation and is of Dragon and Psychic type. In contrast to Latios, it particularly excels in defense. In attack, however, it is somewhat weaker and ranks behind the other mentioned Psycho attackers.

With its moveset of Zen Headbutt and Psychic, it has a strong charged attack just like Latios, but it takes a bit longer to execute. Here, the attack combinations of other Psychic Pokémon are slightly better, which is why Latias overall only lands in 8th place.

Can Shiny Latias be caught? Yes, Latias is available in its Shiny form in the game. You can recognize it by its orange-yellow body.

9. Gardevoir & Gallade

Best Moveset: Confusion and Psychic

In 9th place in our ranking, there are two strong Psycho attackers: Gardevoir and Gallade. These two are the final evolutions of the Psychic Pokémon Shuppet.

While Gardevoir is of Psychic and Fairy type, Gallade is a Fighting and Psychic Pokémon. Both have exactly the same values and use the same moves, which is why we have listed them together.

They impress with a solid attack value. In defense and stamina, they also have solid stats. Like their competitors Hoopa and Espeon, Gardevoir and Gallade deal considerable damage to opponents with their moveset of Confusion and Psychic.

Can Shiny Gardevoir and Shiny Gallade be caught? The Shiny forms of Gardevoir and Gallade are already available in Pokémon GO, but they must be evolved accordingly. You must first catch a Shiny Shuppet.

You can occasionally find this in the wild and also in research tasks. However, keep in mind that only the male form of Shuppet can evolve into Gallade. For Gardevoir, the gender does not matter. You can recognize Shiny Gardevoir and Shiny Gallade by their blue bodies.

In battle, the attacks of their respective types will be boosted for your Pokémon as well as others’ Pokémon. This can give you a special advantage.

For this reason, you should rely on Mega-Latios as the Mega-Psychic attacker. This one is of Water and Psychic type. In addition to a solid attack value, it benefits from strong stamina and defense. Thus, it will last a bit longer in battle.

Alternatively, you can also go for Mega-Gengar with a moveset of Lick and Psychic. However, this Pokémon is of Ghost and Poison type, so it will not enhance your Psychic moves in battle. However, it has an enormous attack value.
