In Season 6 of Fortnite: Battle Royale, the ultimate skin at level 100 is the werewolf. According to many players, it is the coolest skin ever in Fortnite. But what can the wolf do and how do you get it?
The ultimate skin in Season 6: When you reach level 100 in the Season 6 Battle Pass in Fortnite, you unlock a special skin. This time in Season 6 it is a werewolf, simply called “Wolf” (in English “Dire”).
What can the wolf do? The special thing about the wolf is that it is a werewolf. It has six different skin options:
- Level 1: The wolf is still completely human here. It wears a headband and a jacket and somewhat resembles Karate Kid.
- Level 2: The transformation begins. The wolf is still roughly human but hairy and animalistic.
- Level 3: The wolf is now a werewolf. It has the typical wolf muzzle, claws, wolf legs, and fur. Its fur is brownish in this form. Curiously, it now carries nunchaku on its belt.
- Level 4: The appearance of the wolf is identical to level 3, but the colors are different. Its fur is now grayish.
- Level 5: Here, the colors have changed again. The wolf is now wearing a more white fur.
- Level 6: The final form of the wolf is especially noticeable for its black fur.

Players love the wolf
What players say: For many players, the wolf is a real eye-catcher for which one would gladly grind 100 levels in the Battle Pass. There are various reasons for this:
- The wolf is a clear homage to iconic 80s movies, including Teen Wolf or Karate Kid.
- Some players recognize the character Ryu from the game Street Fighter in the wolf.
- Others believe that the wolf resembles the character Crash Bandicoot.
- Many find that the wolf is much cooler than John Wick from Season 3. Wick also became a symbol for humorless tryhards at that time.
Moreover, the wolf just looks wonderfully ridiculous when it performs the many emotes that are currently in the game. But see for yourself:
Fun fact: The term werewolf has nothing to do with a pronoun. “Wer” simply means “man” in Germanic. Thus, a werewolf is a “man-wolf,” which aptly describes the creature.
How do you get the wolf and what else is there?
This is how you quickly get to level 100: To get the wolf, you first have to unlock all 100 levels in the Battle Pass. Thanks to the challenges every week, this goes quite fast. Additionally, if you regularly play Fortnite and especially win more often (this works especially well in the 50vs50 mode), you will gain even more XP and level up a few additional ranks.
How do I unlock the variants for the wolf? To make the wolf really rock, you need the additional variants. These are available from the following XP totals:
- Level 2: 30,000 XP
- Level 3: 70,000 XP
- Level 4: 120,000 XP
- Level 5: 180,000 XP
- Level 6: 250,000 XP
This impressive amount of XP is ideally earned through challenges and victories, as that way you always get plenty of XP.
What if I can’t make it by the end of Season 6? No worries, since Season 5 you no longer need to unlock all variants in one season. So you have as long as Fortnite exists to unlock the variants.
You can only earn the wolf itself in Season 6. So hurry up.
More bling for the wolf
What else is there? The wolf has a few other cool options up its sleeve:
- If you unlock 5 options for the wolf, you get a back bling called “Wolfpack” katana.
- If you unlock a total of 20 weekly challenges, you get a blue color option for the wolf’s outfit.
- If you unlock a total of 40 weekly challenges, you get a yellow color option for the wolf’s outfit.
- If you unlock a total of 60 weekly challenges, you get a gray color option for the wolf’s outfit.
What about a harvesting tool? It seems there is currently no dedicated pickaxe for the wolf.
Is there more to come? As always, there should be a female version of the wolf available in the shop towards the end of Season 6. After all, in Seasons 4 and 5, we had the skins Oblivion and Valkyrie as female counterparts to Omega and Ragnarök.
