On 29.07., the new Classic Mode starts in League of Legends, aiming to bring players a more classic experience and the accompanying nostalgia. This is being celebrated by Twitch streamer HandOfBlood with his LoL team, and is hosting a tournament featuring several influencers.
What kind of tournament is it? HandOfBlood’s eSports team has announced the League of Legends Championship Spandau (LCS) (via x.com). This will be a special tournament in LoL Classic, the new mode launching on 29.07.
The event will be moderated by HandOfBlood himself and his good friend and Twitch streamer Maxim. Both have a well-known LoL history and were part of Summoner’s Inn, a portal for League of Legends that provided content for the scene, original shows, and news about the game. The project started in 2014 but was ended in 2023.
The tournament will take place a week after the release, from August 5 to 7. A prize of €25,000 is at stake. 6 teams will participate in the tournament, consisting of 30 creators. Some of them have already been announced.

In this context, they also published a joking post on x.com about HandOfBlood’s team, questioning who should be the ADC in his team. The football player Neymar declined. Otherwise, Faker is positioned on midlane, Mark Forster on top lane, and the cheesy Michael is in the support role – quite a wild assembly.
Considering that HandOfBlood often receives famous guests, at least Mark Forster doesn’t sound impossible.
