Borderlands 3 features an enormous amount of loot just like its predecessors. Some legendary weapons, shields, artifacts, and grenades can only be obtained from bosses. We have compiled a list for you showing which unique enemies drop what and the special characteristics of the loot.
What does this list include? Here you will find all 36 bosses from Borderlands 3 that drop legendary loot. This includes weapons, shields, artifacts, and grenades. These can only be obtained from the respective bosses and nowhere else. Of course, there are many more legendary items in Borderlands 3 than those listed here.
You will also receive information on the location, weapon type, and characteristics of each item. Additionally, which enemy type the respective boss belongs to:
- Story bosses: These enemies will encounter you during the campaign.
- Mini-bosses in side missions: As the name suggests, they are part of side missions.
- Rare enemies: These are foes that appear rarely. They usually have their own name.

“The Graveward” is a special case. This boss has turned out to be the best farming spot for legendary loot in Borderlands 3. He drops many of the 122 legendary weapons. But only from him can you obtain the shield “Ward” and the artifact “Grave,” which we will cover next.
