What is a Loot Filter? A Loot Filter is a tool that changes how you see the loot on your screen in Path of Exile 2. The tool highlights important loot and ensures that less important loot is hidden or displayed smaller. This way, you should no longer overlook the good and valuable items in PoE2.
Loot Filters are by far the most important tool because they tell both beginners and pros which items are truly important. We will explain how to activate them.

How to activate the Loot Filter? There are different ways to activate a Loot Filter on your account. We show you the simplest way that works for all platforms at the same time.
- First, you need to go to the Path of Exile website (pathofexile.com). We have linked the right place directly.
- Now, you need to log in.
- Now select one of the Loot Filters.
- The Loot Filters from Neversink are usually the most popular. They differ in how many items they hide.
- The “0-toosoft” filter hides almost nothing, while the “6-uberplu” filter only shows the most important and valuable items.
- We recommend “NeverSink-2semistr-PoE2” because it works well both at the beginning and later in the game.
- Once you have chosen a filter and clicked on it, you will see exactly what is included in the filter. However, you do not have to pay further attention to this, so click on the green “Subscribe” button at the top right.
- You have now succeeded, and the filter has been credited to your account.
- Log in to your account on the desired platform and enter the game.
- Open the settings → Game → Item Filter
- There, you should see in light blue which filters are credited to your account.
- Now press the refresh button so that the filter is applied.
Update of the Loot Filters for PoE2 on Console
How does the PoE2 Loot Filter work on PS5 and Xbox? Loot Filters are also available on consoles. It should be noted that only Loot Filters activated on your “Path of Exile” account can be used on consoles.
If you create a Loot Filter yourself and insert it locally into your game files on the PC, this Loot Filter will not be automatically saved on your account and can only be used locally. Therefore, we recommend using the path we provided, so the Loot Filter should also be visible on your console.
