In Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, you can customize your weapons. To do this, you need various things. We have compiled a list of the materials required for augmenting your weapon.
Many players know the problem. You want to upgrade a weapon but see only “???” instead of the material displayed in your window. This list is meant to help you avoid farming in the dark. Here you will find the materials you need for the augmentation of your weapons.
This is what augmentation means: When a weapon has reached its maximum level, you can enhance it with additional skills. This is referred to as augmentation in Monster Hunter World. In the Iceborne expansion, these include weapons of rarity 10, 11, and 12. You can customize them to fit your playstyle. You can find a detailed guide to improvement and augmentation here.

Common Augmentations
You can enhance your weapon in various ways. There are common augmentations like attack increase or health regeneration. Such enhancements require augmentation slots, the number of which decreases with the higher level of the weapon.
The required materials depend on whether the maximum level of the weapon is 10, 11, or 12. Additionally, the number of materials can vary from weapon to weapon.
If you should change your mind, you can remove the augmentations again. You will also get your materials back. An exception to this are the additional slots and the bonus slot, provided there was no space for decorations beforehand.

Custom Enhancements
In addition to the common augmentations, you can equip your weapons with so-called custom enhancements. These give the weapon a new look and enhance it further. Custom enhancements do not require augmentation slots and are also flexibly removable.
The custom enhancements are sorted by monsters and consume a mix of Guiding Lands materials.

The base material remains the same whenever remodeling the same monster. You can find it from the respective beast in the Guiding Lands, the endgame area of Monster Hunter World. All other items are very individual and depend on the weapon type, the weapon itself, and the level of enhancement. However, we can assist you with the base material of each monster.
