Warhammer is considered an expensive hobby. Accordingly, many fans are delighted when they can snag a bargain – at flea markets, private sales, or elsewhere. Sometimes they are so cheap that buyers almost feel like they’ve scammed the sellers, especially when it comes to rarities.
A user shows off their find on Reddit. On Facebook, he stumbled upon an offer of six partially ancient Warhammer boxes:
- a Mk. III Immolator of the Adepta Sororitas (in old version)
- a force of the Empire of the T’au (then still Tau) in the box that was released in 2001
- 10 Gargoyles of the Tyranids
- and 3 terrain sets: a Fortress of Redemption, a Tempestus artillery station, and a fortified manor from the time of Warhammer Fantasy, when The Old World did not yet exist
Many of these sets are no longer produced today, or at least not in exactly this form. Accordingly, the price fluctuates. The Fortress of Redemption alone has a value between 265 and about 400 euros after a quick search on sales platforms like Miniset.net or tabletop-verkauf.de.
Overall, the current market price is likely to be over 700 euros. The Reddit user paid only 200 US dollars, or about 171 euros for it: “I’m not sure if I fully understand what all this is worth yet, but I’ve definitely stumbled onto gold.”

Just as back then, when someone received super-rare, old Warhammer figures from their grandmother, the slightly gnawed meme appears here with the caption: “F**k you. I’m not happy for you. Give me that.” – of course only in good-natured teasing, but certainly with some envy. Such finds are rare.
When asked whether the lucky guy should feel ashamed for his bargain, everyone agrees: the sellers set a price, the user paid it. Everyone is happy with it, even if certainly more could have been had.
It is particularly well received that the thread creator apparently bought the sets not for collecting but for using. He has practically “saved” them, no reason for regret.
