On July 29, the new Classic mode starts in League of Legends, which aims to bring players a more classic experience and the accompanying nostalgia. This is celebrated by Twitch streamer HandOfBlood with his LoL team by organizing a tournament with some influencers.
What kind of tournament is it? HandOfBlood’s eSports team has announced the League of Legends Championship Spandau (LCS) (via x.com). It will be a special tournament in LoL Classic, the new mode launching on July 29.
The event will be moderated by HandOfBlood himself and his good friend and Twitch streamer Maxim. Both have a well-known LoL background and were part of Summoner’s Inn, a portal for League of Legends that provided content for the scene, their own shows, and news about the game. The project started in 2014, but was ended in 2023.
Together with the new ancient mode, the event could be a nostalgia trip for many fans.
The tournament takes place a week after the release, from August 5 to August 7. A prize of €25,000 is at stake. 6 teams will participate in the tournament, consisting of 30 creators. Some of them have already been announced.

Who is participating so far? Along with the announcement, a few influencers were also directly revealed who will participate in the tournament. Among them are:

- Niklas-Wilson
- Tolkin
- Krokoboss
- Gamerbrother
In connection with this, a joke post was published on x.com asking who should be the ADC in HandOfBlood’s team. Football player Neymar declined. Otherwise, Faker is positioned in the Midlane, Mark Forster on the Toplane, and cheesy Michael in the Support role – a wild lineup.
Considering that HandOfBlood often gets famous visitors, Mark Forster doesn’t sound entirely impossible. According to the other side of the post, Kevin Westphal and Sasha Hellinger are also represented. Whether this constitutes a real team is unclear.
