When does the preload start? The preload starts on November 12, 2026, which is just over a week before the release on November 19.

On which platforms will the preload be available? The preload will be available on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Once GTA 6 is released on PC, a preload for that version is likely, but that will happen later.
Which edition do I need for this? The preload applies to all editions. So it doesn’t matter whether you pre-order digitally or physically, as well as Standard or Ultimate.
Can physical version pre-order customers start earlier? No, because the physical edition contains a download code. With that, you can download the game in advance, just like the digital versions, but you cannot start yet. The physical edition does not include a CD that can be used to install the game.
Is there already information about the size of the preload? So far, there are no exact details available here either. Estimates based on the previous information about the game range from download sizes between 100 and 300 GB.
