Finding Zygarde Cells
Where can you find cells? With the new Route feature in Pokémon GO, you can create your own routes or follow routes created by other trainers. It is the only way you can currently find Zygarde cells.
You can find routes by clicking the “Nearby” symbol at the bottom right of the screen. Click on it and then select the “Routes” tab.
If you are lucky, routes will appear near you. Select one of them to follow the route. Then go to the starting point and follow the designated route that you see in the game.
On your way, you have the chance to find the brightly glowing green Zygarde cells on the ground.
It’s very important: you must tap the cells when you see them in the game. They are not automatically collected.
If you find a cell, it will be collected in your cube. Depending on the form, you will need different amounts of cells.
Tips for Finding Zygarde Cells

- It is said that there are “Super Cells” that give you 3 cells at once
- Whether you complete a route quickly or slowly has no impact on finding cells – go at a pace that suits you
- When a cell appears on the map, it can be found close to the route
- It is best to set your smartphone brightness very high to see the cell, which shines brightly green, better
- You must tap the cells to collect them. After collecting, you will receive a message. If you do not see the message, you can access your Zygarde collection to check the amount of your collected cells

Change Zygarde’s Form
How do you change the form? To change Zygarde’s form, you need Zygarde cells. Depending on how many you have, you can activate different forms.

What do the forms cost? The optimal form of Zygarde costs a total of 250 cells. Therefore, you need to follow many routes to achieve the final form of Zygarde.
- For 50 cells, you can change the 10% form to the 50% form
- It then costs 200 additional cells to change the 50% form to the optimal form
- If you already have the optimal form, you can switch to the 10% form and 50% form for candies and stardust
