For Final Fantasy XIV, Patch 7.35 is now available, bringing the major coop with Monster Hunter Wilds. The community is already celebrating the matchmaking for the new Deep Dungeon and a fresh emote.
What kind of new coop is starting? Starting October 7, 2025, players can face the Guardian Arkveld in Final Fantasy XIV as part of the coop with Monster Hunter Wilds. Arkveld is the exchange monster
that will be presented to MMORPG players while the Final Fantasy boss Omega makes life difficult for the Monster Hunter gamers.
Arkveld can be approached by all level 100 fighters who have completed the main story and have an item level of 725. The monster will be unlocked through a quest line, and there are new Monster Hunter items in the game.
On Reddit, the patch notes are already being discussed, and surprisingly, it’s not Arkveld that excites players the most, but rather the matchmaking in the new dungeon.
The new matchmaking? Wow, major victory
Why is the matchmaking cool? The new matchmaking is part of the new Deep Dungeon Pilgrim’s Path
. Groups of up to four players face increasingly difficult levels from 1 to 100. The levels are randomly shuffled and always consist of different challenges.
So far, there are already two other Deep Dungeons, the Palace of the Dead and Heavensward. However, what is new in Pilgrim’s Path is that there is a kind of group finder: groups with 3 or fewer players can hire random members. This applies not only to the lower levels but also to the higher ones.
This has caused excitement among players on Reddit. punnyjr comments as comment (via Reddit): Wow, major victory
. Reddit user Weekly-Variation4311 feels similarly: Yes, they said that in the Life Letter, that was the thing that excited me the most
.
Commentator No_Glass7125, on the other hand, fears that this may lead to frustration on Fridays when tanks pull entire levels and healer bots cast maximum low-level spells (via Reddit).
What else is in the patch? Besides the new Deep Dungeon and the Monster Hunter coop, there are a few other things waiting for players. Here’s an overview:
- New battles: Eminent Grief & Eminent Grief (variable)
- Available as part of the new Deep Dungeon
- New quests for Hildibrand
- New beast tribe: the Yok Huy
- New armor
- New furnishings
- New hairstyles
- New emotes
- New mounts
- and much more
Patch 7.35 goes live on October 7, 2025. All content will be playable as soon as the requirements are met by the current character. One of the new hairstyles has longer hair. However, it does not reach the detail level of the stylings recently implemented in the mobile version of the game: Ironically, the wrong version of Final Fantasy XIV is now fulfilling the dreams of many players
