The Explorer Gadget in Pokémon GO is supposed to provide players with nice support. However, one player was absolutely annoyed by its first use. The community needs to explain to him: It’s not the item’s fault.
What annoys the player so much? The Reddit user and trainer x_cara shared a screenshot in the Pokémon GO subreddit, where he complained about the yield of the new Explorer Gadgets. The item, which continues to spin PokéStops and catch monsters while the player is away, “wasted” all his Pokéballs on Wurmple… and ONLY Wurmple.
“Okay, I know I’m a newbie, but come on,” x_cara writes, “why did it waste all my Pokéballs on worms? Beware of this gadget!”
However, the blame for the new Wurmple collection is not on the item but rather on the trainer himself.
Activated the item at exactly the wrong time
What did the player do wrong? What the player might not have been aware of or at least didn’t notice is quickly pointed out by the community: It was spotlight hour. And it featured Wurmple.
For one hour, the little worm spawned very frequently, which was probably exactly when the player decided to activate the Explorer Gadget. The gadget ultimately caught what was particularly abundant.
How does the community react to this mistake? The community first needs to explain to the player why he only received Wurmple after 35 Pokéballs. They make it clear to him that the gadget is just doing its job and he needs to look elsewhere for the blame:
“User error. Not gadget error,” writes petrescu under the post on Reddit. And TopAccountant9394 admits: “It made me laugh more than it should have. Wurmple is not to blame.”
