A trainer in Pokémon GO is in a situation that many other players can certainly relate to: He lives absolutely isolated, causing many aspects of the game to miss out. But there is one exception.
What is the advantage of living at the ends of the world? The trainer mit_Gemuetlichkeit reports on Reddit that he has no one to raid with due to his remote location, and his Pokémon languish in the gyms for a long time.
However, living outside of cities and larger places also has an advantage: He has little competition. And this is especially evident in the showcases in Pokémon GO.
“Tuesdays are my time to shine”
What does he gain from having no competition in the showcases? In an attached screenshot from the player, he shows that he has placed first in each of the maximum 5 showcases that one can participate in on a Tuesday. An actually strong success, but for him it is part of the weekly bonus due to the lack of players: “Tuesdays are my time to shine.”
What does that mean in exact numbers? For all participants of the showcases, rewards in the form of Stardust and XP await, while the top three places additionally win more item bundles.
For a first place, at least in a shorter showcase, 1,500 Stardust and 5,000 XP await the winner, in longer showcases even up to double that.
This means in the case of the player who sends 5 Pokémon into the competition every Tuesday, that he receives at least 7,500 Stardust and 25,000 XP weekly, and that without much effort.
