Aion 2 is set to be released in September 2026, but you can already secure the first special mounts. MeinMMO tells you what you need to do.
How to secure mounts for Aion 2: Visit the official Aion 2 website and subscribe to the MMORPG newsletter there. This way, you will receive the bird mount Pagati, as well as the option to choose one more mount from 4 additional ones.
Important: Anyone who subscribed to the newsletter before June 5, 2026, must re-register to receive the rewards. The developers also explain:
- The rewards for the Aion 2 newsletter can only be received once per email address.
- The rewards will be sent via email after the game’s release.
- You can redeem the rewards from the official release until January 1, 2027.
- To sign up for the newsletter, you must be at least 18 years old and consent to the collection and use of personal data.
You will complete the registration with a code that will be sent to your email address. You can view the mount rewards below:

The Next Big MMORPG
How important are mounts in Aion 2? Let’s just say there are games where mounts have a bigger impact. Like in Crimson Desert, where animals can inflict significant damage in battles. Or in Guild Wars 2, where each mount feels different and offers special advantages for exploring the world.
In Aion 2, you actually get access to a feature you will likely use even more often than a mount: your wings. With them, you can take to the skies and reach some of the many higher levels.
Compared to walking and running, riding or flying on a mount also provides a noticeable comfort and advantage in Aion 2.

What else do I need to know about Aion 2? It is still unclear when exactly the MMORPG will be released with its free-to-play model in September. However, it is clear that the developers at NCSoft want to focus entirely on the PC for the global launch. Here, the game will not initially be available for mobile devices.
You can choose between 8 classes during character creation:
- Gladiator: Frontline fighter with a massive sword
- Templar: Guardian with shield and sword
- Assassin: Cold-blooded killer with 2 short blades
- Ranger: Ranged fighter with a bow
- Chanter: Supporter who protects and strengthens allies
- Cleric: Holy guardian who preserves life
- Wizard: Spellcaster who harnesses the power of arcane storms
- Summoner: Herald of spirits who wields elemental powers
Aion 2 focuses on solo and small group content for PvE fans during the leveling phase and in endgame. Optional PvP content takes place in special regions or on instanced battlefields. It is currently unclear to what extent the payment model and content differ from the version already released in Korea. However, we know: You do not need a high-end PC to play the MMORPG
