In World of Warcraft there are countless items, some of which are quite hidden. We reveal some secrets on how to discover them and what they bring.
The World of Warcraft is full of secrets and small, hidden interactions. It is nearly impossible to know all of them by heart, but you should keep an eye on the one or other hidden item. That is why we have created a list of the coolest hidden items that you may not know yet. Or if you do know them, then you might not have heard of their peculiar properties…
Here are our top 7 hidden items that you might not know.
7. Robe of the Doomsayer
Where to get the item? The item is relatively hard to obtain because you have to go to the capital of the opposing faction – Orgrimmar or Stormwind. There is an NPC at each location that has a chance (about 20%) to drop the item.
- Horde players kill Gordon MacKellar, the auxiliary confetti cannon in Stormwind. He is located at coordinates 43 / 76 in Stormwind in a house.
- Alliance players kill Gustav Grauslich, the vendor for goods from Undercity. He stands in Orgrimmar at the Zeppelin Tower at 51/55.
Both NPCs have a respawn timer of about 6 minutes. It may take a little while for the robes to drop for you.
What does the item do? The Robe of the Doomsayer counts as a toy and simply goes into your collection upon use. Afterwards, you can use it to have your character wear a red robe. Additionally, he receives two large posters on his back and chest with text that is not identifiable. Presumably, it warns of the impending doom of the world.
The perfect item when the next great apocalypse is looming in World of Warcraft.
6. Dr. Zwicky
Where to get the item? You can fish Dr. Zwicky. You can only find him in the forests of Terokkar in Highland Swarms. These are all located in places that can only be accessed with a flying mount. Most of them can be found in Skettis, but there are also a few south of Alleria’s Bastion. Dr. Zwicky has a very low drop chance while fishing, so it may take a while before you get him.
What does the item do? Dr. Zwicky has only three charges and a cooldown of 4 hours – you will need at least 8 hours to use the 3 charges. It grants you either a temporary companion, summons an enemy, gives you a crate of potions, or a buff to your health points. In some cases, it also gives players the battle pet “Magical River Crab”. The pet is still quite strong today and can be sold for a nice sum in the auction house.
