Odablock, a Twitch streamer and YouTuber, primarily creates content about the MMORPG Old School RuneScape. However, he was recently banned there – unjustly, as he believes. In a video, he explains the situation from his perspective and confronts an employee of Jagex.
What exactly happened? On April 13, Odablock uploaded a video on YouTube in which he reports that two of his accounts in Old School RuneScape were permanently banned. He speculated that a certain employee from the developer Jagex might be the reason.
Two days later, the streamer released another video titled “The Disgusting Corruption Within Jagex”. In it, he describes in more detail what he believes is the reason for the ban and where he sees corruption within the company.
He claims that the employee Mod Trident, an anti-cheating specialist at the company, is responsible for the ban. This employee has a relationship with a RuneScape streamer who wants certain people banned, even though she allegedly has a shady past herself.
Here you can watch the video, but we summarize the key information in the article:
What do the developers say about the accusations? There is no official statement from the developers regarding the allegations. As of now, on April 17 at 2:00 PM, Odablock is still banned.
Odablock is upset about Stella, suspects that her boyfriend is the one who banned him
What does the streamer say? Odablock emphasizes right at the beginning that his criticism is directed at one person in particular and that most employees at Jagex are respectful. He then reads the message regarding his ban. It states, among other things:
The anti-cheating team contacted us after they conducted a routine check and informed us that two of your accounts were banned – Bald and Omar.
The reason for the bans is the significant hours of paid account service on both accounts. The team was extremely thorough in its investigation to ensure the information was accurate.
Translation: the player supposedly paid others to play his account. This is against the terms of service. Although Odablock is allowed to ask questions, the decision regarding the bans is final.
The streamer expresses his irritation over these statements:
- His account Omar has never paid for a service.
- However, he shares the account with two good friends, which is not prohibited, as the developers themselves emphasized in a livestream.
- He did pay someone two years ago to play the account Bald from level 90 to 94, but why would that show up now during a routine check? And even if it did, the paid time would not justify a permanent ban when comparing his bans to those of others.
- Odablock also has other accounts where he bought gold for real money, and even one where he openly stated in a livestream that he had purchased services. However, those accounts were not banned.
He suspects that the Jagex employee Mod Trident and his girlfriend, the Twitch streamer Stella, have specifically targeted him. The two have confirmed that they are a couple.
How did he come to this conclusion? The ban came shortly after the streamer had gathered a large amount of in-game currency. He acquired this from his community as a “entry fee” for clan events. For safety, he confirmed this with Mod Trident to avoid accidentally getting banned.
He received the green light from the developer. The conversation can be seen in the video.
However, Odablock suspects that with his event he has now become a significant competition for the streamer Stella, as she is doing the same with her community. This resulted in his ban.
What is the problem with Stella? Odablock has obviously little regard for Stella. In his video, he emphasizes that some players in Old School RuneScape have cheated in gaining in-game currency and owe debts equivalent to $50,000 to other players.
She is also said to have sold in-game currency for real money multiple times. In the past, she was even banned for this.
Mod Trident is said to have previously banned people for Stella as well. Odablock cites an example of a player who supposedly cheated in Stella’s deathmatch events. Since these deathmatches are not an actual game mode but merely a community event, the banned player did not violate any official rules but was still punished.
Furthermore, it is noticeable that after Odablock’s ban, all recordings on Twitch from Stella were deleted.

“I need to take revenge and expose everything”
What’s next? It is also noticeable that many friends and acquaintances of Odablock have been banned for various reasons. In-game, there were also protests from his community demanding his unban.
The streamer has now made it his mission to take revenge and “expose everything”. He also urges his viewers to report the actions of Jagex.
