Pirates are already playing Beast of Reincarnation, the new game from the Pokémon developers. The preload on Steam might play a role.
What kind of game is this? The latest game from the Pokémon makers at GAME FREAK is called “Beast of Reincarnation” and will be released on August 4, 2026, on Steam, PS5, and XBOX Series X|S.
The game is an action RPG set in the year 4026 in a post-apocalyptic Japan, where a young woman named Emma, junto with her dog Kuu, fights against wild creatures and evil robots to save humanity.
Beast of Reincarnation fully playable before release
What is this leak? A few days before the official release of Beast of Reincarnation, the full game was leaked online. Various pirated copies of the game are said to be circulating. It is suspected that these are related to the start of the preload on Steam, which has been available since July 30.
The players who now illegally possess and play Beast of Reincarnation shared screenshots and initial impressions of the action RPG in various forums – which we deliberately do not name here.
The illegal gamers take away your fear: A major topic of conversation among pirates was the performance of the game. It is reportedly quite solid. One user achieves around 120 FPS at 1440p on maximum settings with a PC around a 5070Ti. Another manages over 80 FPS at native settings in 1440p with a 3070. Some are said to even be able to play it on handheld devices with over 30 FPS.
The performance has been a much-discussed topic among GAME FREAK’s Pokémon games for years. Neither the graphics nor the achieved FPS are up to date for many gamers. One might remember, for example, the “3-FPS windmill” in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (cf.TikTok).
Long-time Pokémon fans who feared that Beast of Reincarnation might have terrible performance can now breathe a sigh of relief.

Already in July 2026, some testers were able to play around 90 minutes of Beast of Reincarnation and share their impressions online. You can read more about it on MeinMMO: New action RPG from the Pokémon makers plays like a mix of Sekiro and Monster Hunter: “Every creature is Bulbasaur”
