Among the countless actors out there, the audience has clear favorites, but also clear candidates for the title of “worst actor” of all time. A study looked at bad movies and clarified who appears most frequently in them.
What is this study? The website Stat Significant focused on bad movies. Actually, not a pleasant task, but in this case, the initiative served to clarify an important question: Who is the most disliked actor and appears most frequently in poorly rated films?
For this, the study considered a whole range of data. Only movies were included that received the worst rating, usually one star, on various rating platforms like Rotten Tomatoes or IMDb with 20% or more.
In the next step, the study determined which actors appeared most frequently in the films in question. The frontrunner is a familiar name.

Who is in 1st place? No one less than Adam Sandler ranks first. A total of 5 of his films have received more than 20% one-star reviews. The mentioned films are:

- Little Nicky
The ranking is not entirely surprising. Adam Sandler is often at the forefront of such discussions, mainly due to some of his comedies. He personally won the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actor 9 times over the course of his career.
Overall, the tally looks even gloomier: Sandler and his films received 37 nominations and won 12 times.
While the study combined with numerous negative awards does not paint a flattering picture, one must not forget: Adam Sandler is not a bad actor.
He has been able to show what he is truly capable of in some excellent films. Those who still need convincing should watch films like Punch Drunk Love or The Dark Crystal. They show: With a good script and a director who knows what he’s doing, Sandler reaches true greatness. With the numerous shallow comedies, he simply hasn’t done himself any favors.
Who else belongs to the most hated actors? In the top 10, there are several other well-known names, including Eddie Murphy, Sylvester Stallone, and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
