Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in October 2018 and just a few days ago a completely new Easter Egg was discovered that now poses riddles for players.
What is this Easter Egg? The newly discovered Easter Egg from Red Dead Redemption 2 revolves around the cobwebs found on 8 different telegraph poles in the game. Following all the clues leads you to Fort Wallace, where you count guitars.
The Easter Egg has been circulating since around mid-December in the reddeadmysteries sub-forum on Reddit. The original post now has over 2000 upvotes and 241 speculative comments. Despite further discoveries, X.com posts, and YouTube videos, the riddle remains unsolved.
Interestingly, the Easter Egg has apparently been in the game since the release in 2018 and has not been patched in later with an update. Players are now diligently searching for the solution.
7 Years Undiscovered – Spiders, Telegraphs, and Guitars
What are the steps of the Easter Egg known so far? To get from the cobwebs to Fort Wallace, several steps are needed. Here’s what you have to do:
- A total of 8 different telegraph poles, where cobwebs with a feather appear at night at various times.
- Next to the pole near Cornwall, kerosene and tar are engraved with a spider. If you overlay this on the map and mark the cobweb poles, you will see that they are positioned at the ends of the spider’s legs.
- In the middle of the spider or halfway between the web poles, a large cobweb can be found in a tree. The letter
N
is marked within it. - If you go north, you’ll find another telegraph pole. If you shoot this, an inscription is revealed:
W
with five crosses. - Five telegraph poles to the west stands another that can be shot. If you do this, the new inscription sends you to
NW
and shows a guitar. - Northwest of the pole is Fort Wallace, where several guitars can be found.
