Fans will not have to wait much longer for the release of Season 14 in Diablo 4, as it will start in a month. In a blog post, the developers revealed some details about the contents of the new season and the upcoming PTR.

Season 14: Start, PTR, and Patch Notes
When does Season 14 start? According to the information in the Reliquary in Diablo 4, Season 14 starts on June 30, 2026, as this marks the end of Season 13. We expect there will be an update around 7:00 PM German time.
When does Season 14 end? Each regular-sized season goes through a 90-day cycle until Blizzard replaces it with a new one. There is no concrete date for the end yet, but if they stick to the cycle, you can expect Season 14 to run until the end of September.
Is there a PTR for Season 14? Yes, and it starts next week. You can try out the planned changes and new content on the PTR (test server) via Battle.net for Season 14 from June 2 to June 9, 2026 (7 PM CEST). There, you will have access to the SSF mode, seasonal features, the revamped Mythics, and new rewards for the Tower.

Season 14: Theme and New Features
What is the theme of Season 14? So far, the theme of the new season is not known. However, in the blog post, Blizzard has already provided an insight into the seasonal contents and changes to the base game.
What’s in Season 14:
- Rifts in the realms of madness: Rifts will open in Sanctuary, bringing new monsters and Rift Goblins into the game. The seasonal mechanic also brings back the Riftwalkers, which open portals to Blood Toll Chambers. These are single-room mini-dungeons with rewards, including Great Keys for Hideout bosses.
- Seasonal Hideout Boss: In the torment levels, you can fight the Corrupted Soul Reaper and open his loot chest with a Great Hideout Key. He provides the best chances for Mythics and for the currency to upgrade Uniques.
- Revamped Mythics: “Mythic” is no longer a rarity level with Season 14, but rather a mutable item quality. Essentially, any Unique can now become mythic using Madness Fragments at the Horadrim Cube. You will receive the fragments by ranking up on the seasonal prestige board and by defeating the Corrupted Soul Reaper.
- Updates for War Plans: You can seamlessly complete War Plans with your friends in a group. To do this, you need to synchronize your War Plan game boards with the group. You will receive a shared game board that generates a new War Plan for the entire team. Additionally, the XP for all War Plan activities starting from Torment 8 and the rewards for the Hell Hordes will be increased.
- Updates for the Horadrim Cube: You can modify Uniques in the Horadrim Cube using the recipes “Focused Re-Rolling” and “Chaotic Re-Rolling.” The effects of unmarked Uniques and Unique Talisman spells can be re-rolled. Chromatic tuning prisms will also have a small chance to grant all resistances.
- SSF Mode: In this “Solo Self-Found” mode, you will be a lone wanderer making your way through Sanctuary on your own. You cannot play in a group, trade, or use co-op content.
- Quality of Life improvements: The cap for Oboluses is now set at 25,000. There has been much criticism from the community recently, as players had to teleport multiple times from dungeons to the city to spend their Oboluses. Additionally, boss trophies will be added for Astaroth and Bartuc, and their recipes will be summarized in the Horadrim Cube.
Season 14: Best Classes and Builds
Which class is the best class in Season 14? In the current Season 13, the “old” classes are primarily at the top of the tier list. The new classes, namely Paladin and Warlock, are performing rather poorly. Whether this will continue in Season 14 will be revealed on the PTR.
