Important note: The patch notes were manually translated into German as they are only available in English. Some names and terms of items and weapons may therefore differ from the actual names in the game.

Patch Notes in 1.26.00 – What’s changing

What do the patch notes say? In update 1.26.00, new content came to ARC Raiders, bringing a new enemy, map, and changes for the trials. We will now go through the official patch notes and list what is changing in German (source: arcraiders.com):

BALANCE CHANGES

WEAPON ECONOMY ADJUSTMENTS

The weapon economy is increasingly unbalanced. Players who engage intensively in PvP must make many difficult decisions regarding their weapons, while the friendliest players continually accumulate new weapons. The aim is to balance this out, so that all players face weapon wear and new options for combating this wear are introduced.

NEW FEATURE: REPAIR ON UPGRADE

Weapon upgrades become very expensive if you have to repair the weapon beforehand. This makes access to them less attractive than desired. To create more options for repairing weapons with low durability and improve the upgrade cycle:

  • When upgrading a weapon, 25% of its maximum durability is now repaired.

WEAPONS DOWN & DURABILITY

Embark is reducing the number of weapons found at the edges of the map to increase the value and excitement of high-level areas and locked rooms.

Embark is increasing the range of durability with which weapons can appear, while simultaneously reducing the average durability outside locked rooms. This should be easily balanced out by the new repair feature when upgrading.

  • Average durability of found weapons: 50 → 30

These changes mean that you can find weapons with only 15 durability at the edge, while you continue to find weapons with about 60 durability in locked rooms.

DURABILITY LOSS WHEN SHOT

Embark has heard the dissatisfaction that maintaining high-level weapons is very expensive compared to low-level ones. The team wants high-level weapons to have longer durability than low-level ones. Therefore, durability loss when shot will be adjusted accordingly:

  • Common weapons: +75% durability loss when shot
  • Uncommon weapons: +50% durability loss when shot
  • Rare weapons: +35% durability loss when shot
  • Epic weapons: -5% durability loss when shot
  • Legendary weapons: -10% durability loss when shot

WEAPON DURABILITY LOSS WHEN UNCONSCIOUS

Embark wants intense PvP to remain a viable play style for ARC Raiders. To adapt this play style to other ways of playing, weapon durability loss will be reduced by 50% when a player becomes unconscious.

  • Durability loss on weapons of unconscious players: -30% durability → -15% durability

ARC

  • Comets have been removed from standard sessions on the Dam battlefields.
  • The number of fireflies on the dam battlefields has been significantly reduced.
  • The number of comets in the Buried City has been reduced.

Developer note: The addition of comets and fireflies slightly increased the difficulty in beginner sessions too much. To bring the gaming experience back to the desired level, we decided to reduce their number in the most affected sessions.

GAMEPLAY

Stella Montis

  • The distribution of Exodus recycling materials has been adjusted to distribute them more evenly across containers.

ITEMS

Evaporator Regulator

  • Stack size increased from 1 to 3

Trigger Grenade

  • Developer note: It is no longer possible to throw a new grenade while triggering an already thrown grenade at the same time. Instead, you must wait until the animations are complete. This should reduce the spamming of the trigger grenade by increasing the delay between grenades and effectively preventing the ability to light a second grenade prematurely with the first.
  • After throwing, a delay of 1 second has been added before the next throw/trigger action is possible.
  • After triggering, a delay of 1.3 seconds has been added before the next throw/trigger action is possible.

Photoelectric Cloak

  • The weight of the photoelectric cloak has been increased from 1 to 3 to better match its rarity/cost.
  • Increased energy consumption rate from 2.5/s to 10/s
  • Developer note: The photoelectric cloak was previously significantly too strong, especially regarding its duration. This change is meant to make its use more conscious. The strength of the cloak remains the same in the activated state, but you may now have to seek cover earlier or rethink your approach in heavily contested areas of ARC.

WEAPONS

Bettina Balancing

Developer note: The Bettina has been improved to match its rarity. Base damage and damage against ARC armor have been increased to maximize the benefit of each bullet. At the same time, the base fire rate has been reduced. The spread has been adjusted to allow longer bursts without loss of accuracy. The stack size of heavy ammunition has been increased to simplify carrying the required ammunition. These changes should make each shot more effective while also increasing the hit rate when controlling bursts well.

  • Base damage increased from 14 to 16
  • Base fire rate reduced from 285 to 235
  • Spread per shot reduced by about 40% (resulting in slower spread)
  • Spread recovery time improved by about 30%
  • Damage against ARC armor increased by about 33%

Heavy Ammunition

  • Stack size increased from 40 to 60
