World of Tanks Blitz – the mini version of World of Tanks – was once only available on mobile devices like iPhones and Android machines. However, since the Steam release of the Windows version, PC players can also compete against mobile gamers – provided that they agree.
If you are currently frequently falling victim to other players in World of Tanks Blitz, it might be because you are facing PC players. Because Wargaming’s tank fun for smartphones and tablets is now also available on Windows 10, and thanks to cross-platform gameplay, PC players can also compete against those who play the game on their phones.
Steam breaks down platform barriers
In the past, there were only battles against other PC players, but since the Steam release of World of Tanks Blitz everyone can play with anyone. We can even play with the same account on different platforms, for example, play a round on the iPad at the breakfast table in the morning, game on the Android smartphone on the way to work on the train, and fire up the PC in the evening.
However, since PC players can shoot much better with a mouse and keyboard than touchscreen warriors, we can also disable cross-platform gameplay in the options menu. However, this only works between PC and mobile devices. As an Android fan, we cannot exclude all Apple users.
