The Twitch streamer Jynxzi is in the midst of his quest to master League of Legends. During his journey, he occasionally streams with other big names from Twitch. Now he wants to set up his own tournament and is making the best players tame with a special rule.
What kind of tournament is this? For several weeks, Jynxzi has been grinding LoL. He has now announced his own LoL tournament on Twitch for Monday, May 11, 2026. At the same time, he presented the format and some rules.
The tournament will consist of 40 Twitch streamers, making a total of 8 teams. Each team will have a captain who can choose his players.
The first rules are meant to ensure balance, as each team should consist of 4 Iron to Silver players. Furthermore, each team will contain a stronger player from the Diamond rank or higher.
“The last rule is brilliant”
This is how the best players are tamed: In his stream, Jynxzi displayed a document that also contained a last rule.
It states that Challenger players, meaning participants with the highest rank, can only play “Non-Damage Supports.” This refers to champions who fulfill the role of support and primarily focus on supporting the team rather than dealing additional damage.
What do the fans say about the tournament? The Reddit user lickmydoodoo is particularly excited about the rule that challengers can only play supports without proper damage and writes: “The last rule is brilliant.” Over 220 other users agreed with him (as of May 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.).
But the opposing side is also represented, and Reddit user Technical_Call6126 writes that having challengers in such a tournament would be a bad idea and that other tournaments have not ended well because of this. Of course, the special rule for challengers presents a barrier, but as another Reddit user mentioned, it is also possible for the players to simply buy items to deal enough damage.
How exactly the challenger players will play in the tournament or whether there will be an item rule could change before May 11.
In addition to the discussion about the challenger players, most fans are looking forward to the tournament. Some even hope that Jynxzi could make the LoL scene in North America bloom again.
