On April 28, 2026, the new update for Helldivers 2 has been released. Included: 2 new biomes, a new enemy variant, the new War Bond, and improved balancing.
What does Patch 6.2 bring? The highlight of the new update for Helldivers 2 is the two fresh biomes that invite you to relax and chill with their idyllic forests. In the official announcement on Steam, it says:
The beauty of our most democratic galaxy is truly unparalleled. As we penetrate new territories, we have discovered planets with lush, serene forests, winding paths, and shadows of gigantic trees.
Under the peaceful canopies, our citizens can relax and reflect on the glory of directed democracy and the good done by the most famous heroes from Over-Earth.
However, not everything on these planets is as it seems. We have registered several of our undemocratic enemies in the vicinity, as well as received some alarming signals from darkness-infested planets – larger than the typical Terminite convoys. They show striking similarities to some acid titan signals from other regions.
You can instill Over-Earth’s version of democracy into the new enemy variant with the newly balanced Exo Suits. Rewards include the Exo Suits, weapons, and armor from the War Bond “The Exo Experts.” Highlights include the EXO-51 Feller (equipped with an anti-tank cannon and flamethrower) and the EXO-55 Breakthrough (with flak cannon and ballistic shield).
The new trailer for Helldivers 2 gets you ready for the new biome, and below you will find the official patch notes for 6.2. Details on the new War Bond can be found on the official PlayStation Blog.
Helldivers 2: Update 6.2 – Patch Notes
Balancing
Newly Balanced Exo Suits
We agree with the community that the Exo Suits take too little damage and can break too easily, especially against the robot faction. Therefore, we have revised the balancing to increase durability.
- Main health increased from 850 to 1,600.
- The Exo Suit only “dies” when the main health supply is exhausted. Previously, it could die when certain health zones were depleted.
- Vulnerability to acid attacks increased by 50%.
- A bug has been fixed so that parts of the cockpit health zones are no longer blocked by the ragdoll actor. Now, the zones in the cockpit can also be damaged properly.
- Health of the Exo Suit arms increased from 350 to 600.
- The arms of the Exo Suit now also have an explosion resistance of 50% (just like the main body).
- Structuring and fading on the arms of the Exo Suit have been removed.
- Exo Suits no longer lose all mobility when both legs are broken.
- They can now be staggered – with a stagger strength of 45. Staggering does not affect shooting ability.
- Most health zones that do not affect main health and are mainly visual effects have been removed. The reason for this is to improve performance. For example, tow cables and similar objects can no longer be damaged or destroyed.
Enemy Damage to Vehicles
- We believe that robots and Illuminated are causing decent damage to vehicles, especially now with the changes to the Exo Suits. However, the Terminites have lost some firepower in the fight against vehicles, which is why we have slightly increased their damage against robust targets.
Gas Effects
- Enemies are now also slowed down by 25% when confused by gas. The slowing effect also naturally affects you. Larger enemies like the Acid Titan and the Factory Strider, which cannot be confused, will therefore not be slowed down either.
