GTA 6 holds a lot of potential to do much better than GTA 5 purely because of the long development time and the intense hype. But not just the flashiest place needs to work for that.
Besides Los Santos, there are other places in GTA 5. Do you know what they are called? Do you have a favorite spot? A favorite activity?
Unfortunately, GTA 5 has the problem that southern Los Santos is significantly more fun than the other places on the map.
Only those who at least occasionally check into GTA Online will know that a significant majority of players prefer to stay in the city rather than, for example, in Sandy Shores.
Even though there are people living there, those areas of the map often feel simply dead.
GTA 6 has already introduced other locations besides Vice City that look promising. They not only offer a completely different vibe but also promise a lot of unique activities, characters, and reasons to want to stay. Especially the Leonida Keys and Port Gellhorn could be strong candidates.
If these places not only look exciting but also feel that way, there won’t just be a metropolitan area that is fun. GTA 6 can and must ensure that.
