The German Twitch streamer and professional player Lennard “Rezon” Sill (18) has already earned €460,000 with Fortnite. At that level, one must remain concentrated at all times, even when water is rising up to their neck and they are starting to panic, as Rezon had to realize now.
Who is this?
- Rezon has nearly 1 million followers on Twitch and has been streaming almost exclusively Fortnite since 2019. When he streams, he has 3,500 viewers. Currently, he is, still ahead of Amar, the largest German streamer for Fortnite.
- Rezon is a successful professional in Fortnite. He has earned about $510,000 in prize money, which is nearly €460,000. Most of that was earned in 2021 when he was just 14 years old.
- His biggest success so far was finishing 6th in the FNCS All-Star Showdown 2021. There, he took home $60,000 in prize money. He has also repeatedly placed between 3rd and 7th in these online tournaments, consistently earning prize money in the range of $20,000 to $60,000 (via esportsearnings).
Successful professionals in Fortnite are often very young:
Pro has a water leak through the basement window in the middle of a match
This is how the water rose up to his neck: During the end of a competitive round in Fortnite, Rezon jumped up and shouted: “Bro, the water is coming through the window.”
Panicking, he looks at his basement window and apparently doesn’t know what to do. The 18-year-old seems overwhelmed by the situation.
Meanwhile, his colleague in Fortnite kept shouting at him to focus on Fortnite and showed no understanding of why Rezon was standing still in the game.
While Rezon screams: “Oh my God, help. I swear to God – basement is flooding.”
Comes back from Fortnite annoyed: “Screw it, play!”
“Leave and get ready!”
How was that from the perspective in-game? Besides the TikTok video, there is also the Twitch recording, where it can be seen that the situation in the match was “actually calm”.
His colleague Wave Chap (“Leave and get ready!”) only urged to get into the next game as quickly as possible.
Why is he making such a fuss? They are playing in a cash cup. Here, they have 3 hours to complete up to 10 matches. Therefore, it makes sense to keep playing without interruption.
The teammate seems not to grasp what is happening with Rezon or simply doesn’t care at that moment.
“Bro, focus on Fortnite!”
How is this being commented on? Most comments are rather amused. The reaction of the colleague is viewed critically:
- “Bro, focus on Fortnite!”
- “He should distance himself from his ‘BRO’ as quickly as possible… sick people”
- “How can the other one be so chill and rude?”
- “Edit back the window”
The German streamers for Fortnite largely exist outside the German Twitch scene and are doing their own thing. We once introduced a Fortnite streamer who, although nominally one of the 20 largest streamers in Germany, is not really known outside of Fortnite: The best gamer among the top 20 German Twitch streamers exists outside the scene
