Hoster Tully was the father of Catelyn Stark, Lysa Arryn, and Edmure Tully. In regard to Catelyn and Edmure, he can be credited for nothing but good. He raised them lovingly and secured Catelyn’s future through good marital alliances.
However, his view on Lysa was quite different. When he found out that Lysa was expecting a child from Petyr Baelish, he forced her to have an abortion. This almost led to Lysa’s death and permanently damaged her mental state.
To cover up the scandal, he forced his completely traumatized daughter to marry the significantly older Jon Arryn, of course against her will.
As terrible as these actions were, at least Hoster seems to have deeply regretted them. In a fever dream, while he was dying, he kept whispering Lysa’s name and begged for forgiveness. If only he had done this earlier, and in the presence of his youngest daughter Lysa.
