What to expect in Fortnite
What is Fortnite? Fornite is a PvP shooter by Epic Games, where the goal is to be the last player standing in a match. You will be thrown into a game world with up to 99 other players, where you compete against each other. You can fight solo, as a duo, in a trio, or in a 4-player team.
The world becomes smaller as the match progresses, so one cannot hide forever. In the end, it comes to a showdown, where only one player survives.
Besides Battle Royale, there is the PvE game “Save the World”. This co-op version was the original Fortnite, but it receives significantly less attention than the separated and immensely popular mode Fortnite: Battle Royale. “Save the World” is still paid.
Above all, the additional modes created by Epic Games forge Fortnite into a large MMO. Whether it is the peaceful LEGO mode, the music game Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, or Party Royale: In each of these activities, you can meet new players, exchange ideas, listen to music, or participate in mini-games.
Epic Games continuously expands its range of possibilities for engaging in Fortnite, creating a vast metaverse for all interested – unfortunately not always with good ideas: Fortnite allows developers to earn money with their modes, but users complain about a prize wheel for kids
What content does Fortnite offer? Although Fortnite has only one true main game mode, the Battle Royale with 100 players, there is a lot of variety in the matches. This is due to the structure of the game systems. There are:
- Different types of weapons and weapon types
- A comprehensive building system (except in Zero-Build mode)
- Loot drops that fall irregularly from the sky – in general, loot in Fortnite is random
- Regular events that lighten up the game
- A mode where you can play without building
As all players start with the same conditions, it greatly depends on the decisions of the players. This, along with the colorful, crazy world, makes Fortnite very popular among almost all players and many streamers.
Players have been enjoying LEGO Fortnite for some time now:
How much does Fortnite cost? Fortnite as a Battle Royale is free to play. However, there are season passes that cost about 10 euros. They include many rewards that are cosmetic in nature.
MyMMO Conclusion: The King in Battle Royale
Who is speaking? The conclusion was written by our authors Christos Tsogos and Jasmin Beverungen. Christos has been part of Fortnite since Season 1 and therefore knows the entire history of the shooter. Jasmin prefers to play in the Zero Build
mode because she only has quick fingers with the gun.
Why is it worth playing Fortnite in 2026? This colorful battle royale has changed significantly since its release in 2017. Building is no longer the core feature. There are now numerous other ways to unleash yourself in the shooter.
Thanks to Chapter 3 Season 2, you can play many modes without building and with friends or solo. Constantly new weapons, items, and vehicles also shake up the meta and bring a breath of fresh air. In 2023, LEGO Fortnite was released as a new adventure.
Last but not least, the development team is not only cooperating with Marvel but also porting well-known faces from other games into the Battle Royale. Doom Slayer, Geralt of Rivia or even the Simpsons join your collection as playable characters.
What are the problems of Fortnite? The Battle Royale also has issues that affect the enjoyment of the game. These include primarily the skill-based matchmaking, which throws you into a match with increasingly better players to provide you with a constant challenge.
Additionally, the Battle Passes can be missed if one doesn’t play enough during the specified dates and level up. Lastly, the Battle Pass can only be completed if one invests a lot of time. Therefore, if players want to have all the additional styles, they are forced to play a few rounds in Fortnite every day.
There are also issues in communication between Epic Games and the community. Changes used to be communicated in detail. Today, this has decreased. What is currently happening in Fortnite can be found here, on our overview page for Fortnite.
