The latest test of Scars of Honor was not well received by fans. Now players are expected to contribute to improvements for the MMORPG.
What kind of new trailer is this? The new trailer for Scars of Honor is made with CGI and is very elaborate. It seems that the developers are trying to make up for the last botched test of their MMORPG. The trailer showcases really beautiful scenes with battles and characters.
Scars of Honor felt so unfinished during the last playtest that MeinMMO expert Karsten Scholz urgently advised against the 2026 release. There was not only a lack of highlights that would have made the game special, but also an absence of fun moments.
There were issues everywhere and almost all elements of the game felt extremely unfinished. Minimal hit feedback, skill trees filled with passive bonuses without noticeable changes, and overpowered enemies right from the first area created the opposite of joyous jumps.
In contrast, the trailer comes with very positive energy. However, it does not come from nowhere, but also conveys a mission. The trailer aims to excite players for an entirely new program.

Players to improve MMORPG
What kind of program is this? The community initiative “FirstWatch”, which can be roughly translated as “first watch”, aims to give players the opportunity to participate in the development of Scars of Honor.
Of course, no one has to write code themselves – the developers are looking for feedback from the fans of the game and are searching for volunteers for this purpose. Players are sought who are willing to do some of the following things:
- PvP
- PvE
- Exploration
- Crafting and Trading
- Roleplaying
- Social Gameplay
- Solo Play
- Content Creation
What needs to be done? The developers will give the “FirstWatch” some tasks they need to complete. These include testing the game and individual features, as well as interviews with the developers, group calls with other testers, and surveys.
Those interested can find more information about the program on the developers’ Discord. It is important for the developers to clarify that this is not a VIP club and there is no guarantee of being allowed to test the game with an application.
