In Crimson Desert, there are legendary mounts that are much better than their normal counterparts. MeinMMO reveals where you can tame a horse in the style of Black Beauty.
Are legendary mounts worth it? The legendary mounts not only look particularly charming, but they also have better base stats than their normal counterparts and can learn more skills. Additionally, they can learn certain skills like the double jump earlier.
Which legendary mount can I get early? In the southeast of Hernand, near the “Steel Mountains”, there is a small lake. There grazes the legendary horse Rokade, which with its black coat reminds of the classic “Black Beauty”.
You will find a fast travel point south of the lake. However, it is best to approach from the north. There is a hillside from which you can look down at the lake. This way, you have an overview of where Rokade has spawned and where it is moving while you glide towards the animal.
Save just before the jump in case the taming process fails. Then you can try again immediately. When taming, you always need to steer against the horse’s line of sight. This is particularly easy with the controller: Just align the left analog stick in the direction where the horse’s rear is located.
Once the taming progress bar is full, Rokade will immediately calm down, and you can register the horse for your collection.

What abilities does Rokade have? The following skills will be unlocked by your legendary horse as you journey:
Skills at Level 2
- Gallop: Faster sprint
- Spinning Strike: When the animal is equipped with a horse head, it can charge at opponents while sprinting
- Double Jump: Jumps another time in the air
Skills at Level 3
- Sliding: Can slide while sprinting
- Quick Start: Starts with a quick start
- Back Kick: Kicks an enemy standing behind the horse
Skills at Level 4
- Dash: An even faster sprint
Skills at Level 5
- Lateral Movement: Can move sideways
- Water Sprint: Runs briefly while sprinting over water
- Instant Acceleration: Can accelerate rapidly while drifting
- Swimming III: Can move faster in water
