MeinMMO shows you the worst rulers from the universe of Game of Thrones who ever sat on the Iron Throne. Aegon IV Targaryen takes 5th place.

- Reign: 172-184 A.C. (Years)
- Greatest Mistake: utterly terrible
Aegon IV Targaryen tarnished the name of his legendary namesake like no other. He is also known as Aegon the Unworthy and is considered by far the worst king to ever sit on the Iron Throne.
During his reign, Aegon showed little interest in building a stable realm. Instead, he wielded his power for excessive indulgences. He was extravagant, corrupt, and always put personal pleasures above state affairs. Even his Small Council was of no use, as he surrounded himself only with incompetent people he found amusing or with whom he slept. According to some accounts, he slept with over 900 women – presumably only consensually in the fewest cases.
However, the most devastating thing he did was on his deathbed: out of pure jealousy, he legitimized all his bastards. The subsequent inheritance disputes led to a total of five rebellions that soaked Westeros in blood for generations.
Many of the Targaryen kings owed their power not only to political influence, large armies, or money. A crucial factor was of course the dragons. They helped the house to its strength when Aegon the Conqueror came to Westeros with his three dragons and quickly subjugated it.
And in the coming centuries, good kings and good dragon riders often went hand in hand. However, a dragon is not so easy to control. After all, they are still wild and extremely dangerous creatures.
