What it’s about: Windows has installed updates for some users that are causing trouble. Specifically, this concerns the updates with the numbers KB5001330 and KB5001337.
These updates were initially intended to improve HDR rendering. Instead, users are now complaining about problems.

Uninstalling and changing power settings on Windows should help
What you can do: If you are experiencing these issues, you can currently try two things:
- Either uninstall the problematic updates KB5001330 and KB5001337
- Or test the power plan on Windows
Uninstalling Windows updates: If you want to uninstall updates, then search for “Update & Security” in the menu. Here, select “View update history” and then the item “Uninstall updates.”
You can then uninstall the two updates here. However, make sure that Windows does not immediately reinstall the updates. In the “Update & Security” menu, you can also activate an update pause.
In general, we would definitely recommend installing all Windows updates. Because these updates patch security vulnerabilities in the system, which is particularly important if you are online or regularly gaming.
How to activate the power plan: First, open the Control Panel. Here, select “Hardware and Sound” and then “Power Options.”
You can change the settings here. Switch to the “High Performance” or “Ultimate Performance” profile. This should prevent problems and severe frame drops.
