With our FYNG Show, we will venture into entirely new dimensions on August 26th starting at 5:00 PM. A first look at what we have in store for you.
We have deck chairs and chocolate bars. That’s enough, article finished. Because there are no better arguments for a visit to the gamescom booth. At least for those who have been to the biggest gaming fair in the world before and know how it goes down.
But because it’s you, we’ll reveal a little more. On one hand, we obviously want to provide the best possible gamescom program for those who can’t be in Cologne this year. On the other hand, we are simply very proud of what our team has put together for you after months of hard work.
From August 25th at 7 PM to August 30th at 6:30 PM, we will provide around 50 hours of live programming for Find Your Next Game 2026.
You can follow it live on-site in Hall 7 or, of course, in the stream on GameStar.de, our Twitch channel and even on our own FYNG page on Steam (starting August 26th, 2026).
Logically, much of what is happening with us is still a secret, but we can already reveal a few highlights.
Not just a booth, but an experience world
With almost 1,600 square meters, our booth in Hall 7 is not only double the size of last year, but is basically a world of its own. And of course, we have much more to offer than just chocolate bars and deck chairs.
We can’t go into too much detail yet, but expect plenty of demo stations, cool merch, exciting giveaways, and spectacular photo spots. And no, we’re not talking about ourselves, even though you can obviously come up to us anytime to take pictures. The goal is for you to never want to leave.
The unmistakable highlight of our booth is of course the gigantic stage with a 40 square meter video screen. And yes, that’s quite intimidating. But we will do our best to put on an appropriately grand program.
Two big premiere shows
We start on Tuesday at 7:00 PM with the broadcast of the Open Night Live. Look forward to plenty of world premieres, appropriately ecstatic or critical comments from Lea, Michi, and Felix. We will also usher in Maurice, as well as the editorial teams from GameStar, GamePro, and MeinMMO for the subsequent analysis in the sacred ONL halls.
Our personal program highlight is of course our big FYNG gamescom Show on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to around 8:00 PM. Look forward to over 30 games you have never seen before, including seven world premieres.
As always, you could not buy your way into the show, but we have curated it just for you editorially. Therefore, the focus is on solid information and real gameplay – you can watch meaningless render trailers elsewhere. And, as always, everything will be moderated with the proper mix of competence, charm, and silliness by AK and Maurice.
We are really incredibly proud of what we have put together for you here in the past months. And of course, of our self-crocheted FYNG dolls.
A gamescom week full of highlights
Even beyond the shows, we want to convey the feeling that you are live at the biggest gaming fair in the world during the entire gamescom week – but as a VIP with the best contacts.
At the center are of course the games: We will show them to you, we will discuss them, we will talk to the developers, we will play them live.
And this also applies to games that skip the gamescom and prefer to celebrate their gameplay premiere on Netflix. Yes, GTA 6, we are looking in your direction. Here’s just a little preview of what we have prepared for you:
- All about GTA 6: Join us live on Thursday starting at 8:30 PM, when Rockstar finally shows what they have planned gameplay-wise.
- Celebrity guests: If a game was shown at the ONL or the FYNG Show, which you absolutely want to know more about, then the chances are quite good that its developers will be sitting on our sofa during gamescom to answer your questions.
- Unfiltered fair impressions: At gamescom, there are many games that are only shown behind closed doors. We will open the doors for you and tell you live and unfiltered which appointments impressed us at the fair. And which did not.
- FYNG Indie Award: We have selected the 8 most promising indie games of the fair from nearly 200 games according to our opinion and will let them compete against each other. And you get to decide who wins!
In summary: We will do our best to ensure you don’t want to miss a second of Find Your Next Game at gamescom 2026 – whether live on-site or in the stream.

Because obviously, we will upload a large part of our gamescom program as anytime accessible videos on our websites, our GameStar YouTube channel and on GameStar Talk.
We are incredibly excited for gamescom. And of course for you!
We can tell you: We have bruises all over. Because we constantly have to pinch ourselves to make sure we are not dreaming.
When we had the funny idea in early 2024 of putting together our own little showcase with Find Your Next Game (FYNG), we could not even have imagined what this “little showcase” would turn into just two years later.
A gigantic stage with over 40 square meters of video screen in the gamescom Hall 7. An over two-hour program full of world premieres and real gameplay for some of the most anticipated games. A crocheted police car.
We are completely overwhelmed. By over 100 game submissions from all over the world that absolutely want to be part of our show. But also by our media house Webedia, which enables us such a big stage, literally.
In a flash, we’re already in the final preparations for the largest, most elaborate, and most likely also funniest show we have ever put on. Now you might have a rough idea of how we currently feel and how nervous we are.
Concrete details will only be revealed on August 26th starting at 5:00 PM, as we obviously can’t and won’t tell you what will happen. But at least we can tease a little bit of what you can look forward to.
The most important facts: When, where, who
Before we take a small look ahead, let’s first check what you need to know if you don’t want to miss anything.
When does it start? The pre-show for the FYNG gamescom Show starts on August 26th at 5 PM, the main show follows at 5:30 PM. Our program is planned for just over two hours, so it will last until around 7:45 PM.
Where will it be broadcast? We will broadcast live from our booth in the gamescom exhibition hall 7. For our largest show to date, we are also building our largest stage to date with gigantic video screens.

And of course, we will broadcast the show live on all platforms:
- on GameStar.de
- on the GameStar YouTube channel
- on the GameStar Twitch channel
- on the FYNG Steam page (in English, goes live on August 26th at 10 AM)
Can I follow the show differently and later? Absolutely! Look forward to our legendary GameStar live ticker with all the important information about the show, top jokes, and compromising photos from Cologne.
In addition, we will also make the showcase available as a video afterwards, so you can conveniently catch up on GameStar.de or YouTube. And of course, you can also look forward to a lot of exclusive news and previews on the show announcements.
What makes the FYNG gamescom Show special?
When we had the idea for our own showcase, it was clear from the beginning that we wanted to do some things differently.
An editorial show: Of course, we also have paid advertising; somehow, we need to finance the thing. But it is clearly marked as such. And you can’t buy your way into the actual show program. Only our editorial team decides what goes into the show and what doesn’t.
We have evaluated over 120 titles for this. Partially, we requested the publishers ourselves, but more than 100 games have also been pitched to us by the studios from all over the world.
No teleprompter reading: We are broadcasting live and without a safety net. Of course, we prepare carefully, but we want to authentically present the games together with our stage guests and not read from a script.
Although the show will be a lot more international, we will continue to broadcast in German, but this time we will also offer an English commentary on our FYNG Steam page.
Focus on gameplay: The FYNG gamescom Show will not feature a single trailer without gameplay! Because as gamers, like you, we want to see the game and not some render teasers that reveal nothing.
And let’s put it this way: If you think during an ONL reveal “Exciting reveal, but a little more gameplay would be cool!”, there’s a good chance you’ll see that gameplay with us.
A proper portion of silliness: We take games very seriously, but ourselves only somewhat. It’s hard to explain how one comes up with the idea to crochet FYNG dolls for the show. And since AK and Maurice Weber will be moderating the show as usual, you can be sure that anything can happen.
What games are included?
Of course, we don’t want to spoil the surprise. But let’s just say:
Games we are looking forward to: Since we select the games for our show ourselves, we can also assemble a program that we would like to watch ourselves.
Lots of variety: A dark souls-like with Unreal Engine 5 may still be cool. But if five of those are shown consecutively, it can get tiresome quickly. With us, you can expect a colorful, wild journey – through all genres and from indie to blockbuster.
New details about your favorites: Is there that one game you are looking forward to, but you haven’t seen anything about the campaign yet? Or you finally want to understand how a typical mission works? We know that feeling. That’s why only those who can show something new will make it into our show.
Real world premieres: Admittedly, the chances that Valve reveals Half-Life 3 with us are still rather slim. But you can still look forward to some exciting games that will have their big reveal with us. Just like recently with Corsair Cove at our FYNG CAGGTUS Show in April.

As the show approaches, we will get a little more specific here. For now, it’s all about wrapping up preparations.
Over the past few months, we have put an incredible amount of work, passion, and yarn into planning our FYNG gamescom Show. And we are incredibly excited to bring all of this to the stage for you on August 26th starting at 5 PM.
Keep your fingers crossed for us, and above all: Be live with us on August 26th at 5 PM! We look forward to seeing you.
Your opinion is important to us!
