The developers of KING Art have released a new trailer for Dawn of War IV during the Warhammer Skulls event and revealed the release date and the roadmap. MeinMMO summarizes the most important details for you.
When will Dawn of War IV be released? The real-time strategy game from KING Art and Deep Silver will be released on PC (Steam) on December 3, 2026. Anyone interested can now pre-order both versions of the game and benefit from a 10 percent discount.
What editions are available? The standard edition, costing €53.99, includes the game. Those spending nearly €81 for the Commander Edition can start 3 days earlier and will also gain access to the two planned paid DLCs and the soundtrack.

Dawn of War IV Roadmap: Content until Summer 2027
What does the roadmap look like? The developers aim to expand Dawn of War IV with the so-called “Year One” expansion throughout the coming year by continually adding new content. Following the game’s postponement on August 13, 2026, and its scheduled release on December 3, 2026, a new roadmap was announced. The current plan is as follows:
Free Updates
Between the start of 2027 and spring, the developers plan to introduce the “Crusade” mode, new map packs, a mission editor, as well as new commander scenarios for “The Last Stand” and “Crusade”.
Paid DLC No. 1: Blood Ravens Story Prologue
At some point in spring 2027, the story prologue for the Blood Ravens will be released, which aims to provide further insights into the events leading up to the base campaign of “Dawn of War IV”.
At the start of this story, our heavily battered Blood Ravens make their way to Kronus, hoping to replenish their ranks with new recruits from their old recruitment world. Meanwhile, the “Story Prologue” DLC narrates how a new strike force of the Blood Ravens sets out for Aurelia to implement their own plans for rebuilding their order.
Paid DLC No. 2: Aftermath
In summer 2027, the DLC “Aftermath” will follow, which expands the base campaign and introduces a completely new faction in “Dawn of War IV”. The developers have not yet revealed exactly what this faction will be.
