What kind of game is this? In this game, you awaken on a beach on the island of New Wirral. But you are not the only ones, as people from different dimensions are continuously washed ashore. Our goal is to return to our home. Along the way, we face the so-called Archangels.
On the island, there are numerous monsters that we can catch. However, we do not use balls for catching but a Walkman. We record the shape and abilities of the creatures onto cassettes. The special thing: In battle, these creatures can fuse together.
How many monsters are there to collect? There are currently 143 monsters in the game. However, counting the fusions that result from the combination of monsters in battle, there are even over 19,000 different forms.
In the sequel, Cassette Beasts 2002, there will again be many collectible monsters. According to developer information, the number will exceed 250 creatures. There is currently no release date.
