Spoiler Warning: Spoilers for Game of Thrones and the first two seasons of House of the Dragon are included. However, we have intentionally left out events from the upcoming seasons of House of the Dragon.
Rank 10: Viserion (undead)
- Rider: the Night King
Viserion is one of the three dragons of Daenerys Targaryen. He is mainly gold and cream-colored, with some red accents on his back and wings. The name is derived from Viserys, the deceased brother of Daenerys.
In the dragon trio, Viserion was the calmest and probably the weakest. Even with Drogon’s rapid growth, he could never match up. That he still appears in this list is mainly due to his tragic end.
During the rescue mission beyond the Wall, the young dragon is hit by an ice spear. He dies and is shortly thereafter resurrected by the Night King. As an undead zombie dragon, Viserion now possesses the advantages of both dragons and revenants, making him quite a dangerous creature. He is nearly invulnerable and breathes mystical blue ice fire, which could even bring down the Wall.
However, his greatest weakness is his dependence on the Night King. When he is defeated, the undead Viserion also dies permanently.
