When thinking of dragons from Game of Thrones, one immediately thinks of Drogon. He is the largest and strongest dragon of Daenerys. Though he does not come close in size to historical dragons. This is mainly due to the fact that he is still so young. In 100 to 200 years, he could definitely challenge the top candidates on this list.
Despite his young age, Drogon is already exceptionally strong and battle-hardened. He survives numerous battles, including attacks from the massive scorpion ballista. With his dragon fire, he can destroy entire armies, walls, and buildings. Thus, he spreads fear and terror among his enemies. For example, in Season 7, he rains fire down on the Lannister army, and in Season 8, he burns King’s Landing to the ground.
It is said that Drogon is the reincarnation of Balerion the Black Dread, so powerful is he. By the end of the series, he is the only Targaryen dragon that survives. With the dead Daenerys, he flies east. What exactly will become of him, we do not know.
