Aemond is the proud rider of Vhagar, one of the most powerful dragons that ever existed. Quietly and secretly, he claimed the fearsome creature when he was still a child. That alone is quite impressive.
Add to that, Aemond himself is a very capable warrior, who does not shy away from battle. Even with significantly more dragons on their side, Aemond and Vhagar are still a great threat to Rhaenyra and Team Black.
However, we must also painfully remember Aemond’s huge mishap. In the first season finale of House of the Dragon, he loses control of his dragon. Vhagar makes quick work of Lucerys and the small dragon Arrax. This had serious consequences for the conflict between Team Black and Green.
