In a new event, you can obtain Schlurm for the first time in Pokémon GO. How this works and what else the event offers has been reviewed by MeinMMO for you.
What kind of event is this? The event “Steel Resolve” starts on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM. It runs until Monday, May 4, 2026, at 8:00 PM. From Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 12:00 AM, Team GO Rocket will also participate in the event.
How do I catch Schlurm? In the event, you can obtain Schlurm for the first time. The steel monster comes from Generation 9 and has no evolutions. Just at the debut of the monster, you can also get it as a shiny, assuming some luck.
To obtain Schlurm, you must participate in 3-star raids during the event. Only here can you receive the new monster.

Which monsters are there in the event? A highlight besides Schlurm is likely to be Meltan. While you can receive the monster anytime from the mystery box, in this event you will again have the chance to obtain the shiny variant of the monster for a limited time. Correspondingly, the cooldown of the mystery box is also reduced.

What is in the GO Pass? As usual, there will be a separate GO Pass in this event, allowing you to progress and earn rewards in both a free and an optional paid version.
From Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 12:00 AM to Monday, May 4, 2026, at 7:59 PM, there is no limit to the points you can collect in the Pass.
If you reach Rank 1 in the GO Pass, you will unlock double the amount of candy for catches until the end of the event. Unlocking Rank 2 will give you more stardust for victories against the grunts from Team GO Rocket.
In the free version, the following rewards await you:
- Encounters with Tanhel*, Gladiantri*, Gramokles*, Meltan* and other monsters
- a Super Rocket Radar
- mysterious components and Crypto Shards
The deluxe version of the pass brings you among other rewards:
- further encounters with Steel Pokémon
- an additional Super Rocket Radar
