The developer studio Creative Assembly is actually known for the strategy epics of Total War. But now they are bringing a crazy shooter: Hyenas (PS4, PS5, Xbox, PC, Switch). MeinMMO briefly presents the title and shows how you have a chance to participate in the alpha on Steam.
What is Hyenas? The first-person shooter draws on current trends in the genre and is an evolution of extraction shooters – you start a match, fight NPCs and other players, collect loot, and need to leave the playing field alive. Everything is playable in co-op.
Because you are on a raid and robbing space stations from wealthy people to steal old merchandise that is worth a lot of money. Accordingly, there are pop culture references at every corner.
Further down, we show you how to have a chance to participate in the alpha. You can watch the announcement trailer for Hyenas here:

Hyenas: How to participate in the alpha
The shooter announced that it will open the servers for the alpha test over a total of four weekends. Although Hyenas will also be released on consoles on the full release, the alpha test runs only on Steam on the following dates:
January 20 to 23
February 17 to 20
March 10 to 13
March 31 to April 3
You can find the English website for registration here: playhyenas.com.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate, need a Steam account, and an account with Creative Assembly. You also need to link the two accounts – you can do this during registration for the alpha test.
After that, you need to answer a few questions about your gaming habits and agree to an NDA. This is a type of confidentiality clause, and by agreeing, you are agreeing not to publish any gameplay from the alpha.
Then you are registered for the alpha test. However, it is not certain when or if you will receive an invitation to test.
Personal impression author: At gamescom, I was able to see a prepared match of Hyenas and saw an interesting, new interpretation of the extraction shooters.
Above all, due to the hero mechanics – the playable characters all have individual abilities that can be built up and changed over time. This allows for many different tactics, which can become even crazier through the zero gravity mechanics.
In addition, there can be a showdown at the end of a match, and the player squads go after each other.
This brings a touch of battle royale into the game, although the presenting developer at gamescom did not want to take any comparison with a battle royale. The escape with the loot is in the foreground, not the fight against the other teams.
If you like shooters with different classes/abilities for your characters and find the principle of extraction shooters exciting, then Hyenas is definitely worth a look.
Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris (34) made headlines when he had to take a stream offline due to a court order. Now he wants to take action against the decision.
What kind of stream was it? On October 23, 2022, MontanaBlack surprised his fans with a special stream from the Wildpark Schwarze Berge in Lower Saxony. The 34-year-old had clearly a lot of fun interacting with the animals and was rewarded with up to 60,000 viewers.
However, this beautiful action had a rather unpleasant aftermath: A mother was dissatisfied with being visible in the background of the stream along with her daughter and obtained a restraining order. MontanaBlack had to take the video recording offline.
Now he has come forward with an update and criticized the reporting.

Career and Life of MontanaBlack in 2 Minutes: What Makes Him Unique?
MontanaBlack: “Most articles are nonsense”
Why did the topic only come up now? In a stream, MontanaBlack explained that he deliberately did not address the incident at the time to avoid prompting anyone to take action against IRL streams. He does not know how the topic made its way to the public.
Suddenly, he was approached about the situation in the chat. Later, the streamer found out: Lawyer Christian Solmecke had published a YouTube video about the case, which was then picked up by several media outlets.
What does the streamer criticize? MontanaBlack is apparently quite dissatisfied with the reporting on the case. It was said that he would have to pay a fine of 250,000 €. An article that was circulated on Snapchat even mentioned up to 6 months in prison for the 34-year-old.
However, this is “pure clickbait,” says the streamer, as the matter has long been resolved. He received the restraining order only two weeks after the stream and took the VoD offline. Therefore, he is no longer facing any penalties: “Every article that has reported on this is nonsense,” says MontanaBlack.
However, the matter is not completely resolved, as the streamer wants to defend himself. We have embedded a video here in which MontanaBlack talks about the case:

This is the current status: MontanaBlack explained that he is “taking legal action” with his lawyer. He is not only concerned about himself: As one of the largest IRL streamers in Europe, he also wants to advocate for smaller streamers:
If it is now common practice for someone seen in a livestream for two seconds to run to a judge to have that content removed, then no one, big or small, can do IRL streams anymore.
What is the legal situation? The streamer himself sees himself in the right: The legal situation in Germany is actually clear. If someone is seen in the background for “two to three seconds” without being filmed explicitly or being “the main focus of the stream”, then this is considered ancillary.
There is actually a regulation regarding this. On the website of NRW, there is the following explanation regarding ancillary content:
You do not need to obtain consent if a person is only seen as ancillary in the picture, for example, in a pedestrian zone or at a public event. However, in close-ups, it is advisable to ask the respective individuals for permission before shooting.
Why the judge to whom the restraining order was presented decided differently and what the chances of success are for MontanaBlack, we cannot tell you. However, we will keep you updated if there is any news on this topic.
What happens next with IRL streams? For the time being, MontanaBlack seems to have lost interest in IRL streams, which is a pity, as the streamer appeared to enjoy this type of content.
However, he can no longer do it “in a relaxed manner”, says the 34-year-old. What annoys him particularly is that he had indeed made an effort to be considerate: if someone would have been clearly visible, he and his team would have always approached beforehand and asked for permission.
Also, if a larger group of children had been nearby, he would have asked his cameraman to “put the camera away”.
However, he also demands a bit of personal responsibility: after all, the big camera is hard to miss, and his cameraman Adam “skyline_tv” Wolke also wears a cap that says “Live”. People should just turn away if they don’t want to be on camera.
He will now wait and see, but he does not know if he will ever feel like doing IRL streams again.
The item “Radiant Virtue” is currently responsible for many won matches in League of Legends. Thus, the mythical item is immensely strong – but is hardly used. And the lower the rank, the fewer players build the item. What actually makes it so strong?
Radiant Virtue is a mythical item, of which you can only carry one. However, such an item comes with unique effects and is usually particularly powerful.
What makes the item so strong? Even the stats of Radiant Virtue are impressive. You receive:
+20 Attack Speed
+400 Health Points
+30 Armor
+30 Magic Resistance
+100 Health Points for each legendary item you carry (mythical passive)
Radiant Virtue is already an effective item that significantly strengthens its bearer with its stats. What makes it so valuable, however, is the ability to decide a team fight. This comes through the passive effect:
whenever you use your ultimate, you “transcend” for 9 seconds
this increases your health by 10%
at the same time, all allies around you gain 20 Attack Speed for basic abilities and are healed every 3 seconds for 2 to 4% of your maximum health
A clip from the professional scene shows what difference the item can make:

The developers are already considering adjusting Radiant Virtue and are monitoring how the item develops (via Twitter). So far, however, there are no signs of a nerf.
Especially characters like Zac or Skarner derive great benefit from the item, as they can further strengthen their already strong defense and provide a buff to their entire team while they tank at the front.
Zac is even ranked 1 in win rates on top and mid lane as well as support and 3rd among junglers across all ranks (via u.gg). Radiant Virtue itself has a win rate of 59.5% in Europe West (via poro.gg) – but hardly anyone uses it.
Looking at the list reveals that only 3.1% of players even build Radiant Virtue. A closer look at the usage can be found on the statistics website LeagueOfGraphs, where it can be seen: the lower the rank, the less the item is built.
From Iron, only 1.7% of players build Radiant Virtue
From Gold, it is already 2.6%
In Master and above, 5.6% of players build the mythical item – it even ranks 5th here

Why does hardly anyone use Radiant Virtue? A precise reason why only a few players use Radiant Virtue is hard to pinpoint. However, there are a few possible explanations:
With 3,000 Gold, Radiant Virtue is quite expensive – some players may simply be unable to buy the item in a shorter game.
Other items are better for personal stats. Those who are the “carry” themselves do not build Radiant Virtue.
Radiant Virtue requires a lot of coordination and teamwork, relying on the fact that your team wins a fight – this tends to happen more at higher ranks.
Additionally, champions on which Radiant Virtue is strong are already played infrequently. Zac, for example, is mostly played in the jungle and ranks only 11th here with a 6.5% pick rate.
Want to take off in Season 13 and play yourself into the higher ranks? Here are some tips:
With the DLC “Downpour“, the survival platformer “Rain World” on Steam receives a substantial expansion with numerous new content. A large part of the DLC is a true labor of love, into which loyal slugcat fans have invested 5 years of work.
What game is it about? In Rain World, players take on the role of a small, cute creature, a slugcat, and must fight for survival in a merciless world.
It comes from the indie developer studio Videocult and is very popular on Steam. 92% of the total 7,751 user ratings are positive (as of January 20, 2023, via Steam).
We have previously introduced the game in more detail on MeinMMO:
“A large team of passionate Rain World fans has worked on this with great love“
What kind of expansion is this? The fan expansion is part of the overall DLC Rain World: Downpour, called “More Slugcats Expansion“, which includes a comprehensive package of new game content:
5 new slugcats
10 new regions
new creatures
new items
new soundtrack
new cutscenes, dialogues, endings
Challenge and Safari mode
Rain World remix QoL features
Here you can see a trailer for Rain World: Downpour, which now also includes a co-op mode in the game:

What does the developer say? The announcements on the Steam page for Rain World: Downpour thank the developer studio in the so-called “Community Credits” all participants for their contributions to the project.
About the “More Slugcats Team”, the developers write: “A large team of passionate Rain World fans has worked on this with great love“. A total of 33 involved fans, who worked on the expansion for 5 years, are listed.
However, several fans also worked on the general “Downpour Team” with the DLC, which now combines the hobby creations into a large package and makes it available to the public. According to the developers, the significant participation of fans makes the expansion possible at all, which makes the project a tribute to the community.
How much does the expansion cost? On Steam, you currently get the expansion at a special price. Instead of €14.79, you receive the DLC with a 10% discount and pay €13.31. The introductory offer ends on February 2, 2023.
Note that you first need the main game Rain World to play Downpour. It currently costs €19.99 on Steam.
Patch 10.0.5 for World of Warcraft will be released in just a few days. We already have the patch notes and will reveal what changes are coming.
In just a few days, World of Warcraft Dragonflight will receive its first major update. Patch 10.0.5 will be released on January 25, 2023.
Although Patch 10.0.5 is technically just a “small” patch, it comes just a few weeks after the release of the expansions and brings surprisingly many new features and improvements.
In the meantime, the developers have released the patch notes for Patch 10.0.5. We will first discuss the highlights of the latest update. Further down, you will find the complete patch notes, including all the changes to the classes.
The Highlights of Patch 10.0.5
In total, there are 3 features that can be considered the highlights of Patch 10.0.5. While they are all rather small improvements or new features, they will contribute to enjoyable experiences or more options for character customization in the long run.
Anti-Barrier Champions: These can be set up with solar, void, and strand counters.
If you use volatile projectiles from your weapon, you will also penetrate the barrier and stun the champion. If you are “radiant,” your attacks will penetrate the champions’ shields and stun them. Also, with the new strand ability, it will be possible to penetrate barriers.
Unstoppable Champions: They will tremble before your arc, solar, stasis, and strand counters.
If you blind an unstoppable champion, it will be stunned immediately. If you encase it in stasis and then smash it or trigger a solar ignition, it will also be stunned. Strand will also have a counter here.
4. What Happens to the Combat Style Mods?
These mods will lose their elements and be radically adjusted in Lightfall.
Bungie will convert the “combat style” version into an additional mod version for this armor slot with Lightfall. Additionally, Bungie has looked at each individual mod.
Some mods will be changed or moved to other slots.
Due to new mechanisms, some mods will become obsolete and be removed.
Ability energy gains, stat and weapon damage bonuses from mods will partially disappear.
Some new mods have been added to expand build options.
So expect that well-known mod advantages like more ability energy, a boost in stats, or strong weapon damage buffs might be less effective with Lightfall. Additionally, you may not be able to recreate all previous builds you currently have one-to-one in Lightfall.
Armor mods that previously improved weapons based on their archetype (e.g., hand cannon loader) will now enhance weapons based on their damage type.
The mod classes “Charged with Light” and “Elemental Sources” will be combined into a revised system called “Armor Charge” and shifted into armor-specific versions.
Instead of generating elemental sources, each focus will now create damage-specific objects.
“Ionic Trace” for arc
“Fire Sprite” for solar
“Void Break” for void
“Stasis Fragments” for stasis
Strand will also receive its own object, but nothing is known about that yet.
All mods that do not modify stats will cost 1-3 energy starting with Lightfall.
Collecting these items will grant you ability energy or cause other effects that will depend on your focus starting with Lightfall. Additionally, the nice “kaleidoscope effect” of elemental sources lying on the ground will end with Lightfall. With the transition to “armor charge,” they will generate orbs of power instead of colorful cones.
More about Destiny 2 and the upcoming Lightfall DLC can be found here on MeinMMO:
Among the mods that did not make it into the new DLC are the Warmind Cell mods. Bungie considers them a “relic from a different time” since they never recovered after their nerf. They are therefore supposed to make room for newer, fresher mod options.
Now your opinion is sought: How does the German Destiny 2 community feel about the changes? Feel free to share your assessment in the comments. Tell us what you particularly like, where you may have concerns, and whether these changes are good for you.
This week, Destiny 2 celebrates the Chinese Moon Year and is giving away not only 880 Glimmer in the Eververse but also offers you a thunderous armor shader for purchase:
Overload Champions: They will have the option for arc, stasis, and void counters.
If you then damage an overload champion by staggering, suppressing, or slowing it with stasis, the champion will be stunned.

Among the mods that did not make it into the new DLC are the Warmind Cell mods. Bungie considers them a “relic from a different time” since they never recovered after their nerf. They are therefore supposed to make room for newer, fresher mod options.

This week, Destiny 2 celebrates the Chinese Moon Year and is giving away not only 880 Glimmer in the Eververse but also offers you a thunderous armor shader for purchase:
Destiny 2 has given a first glimpse of radical changes that will soon go online with the new DLC “Lightfall.” With a new loadout and build system, Guardians will transition from one of the most restrictive systems of the loot shooter to one of the most open. MeinMMO tells you what exactly is changing and how everything is supposed to become easier soon.
Update from January 20: We have added this article with more information about the new loadout system, as Bungie confirmed the number of character builds via Twitter.
However, the adjustments also seemed to cast large shadows of change on the new DLC “Lightfall.” Now, the developer has revealed more detailed information about the brand new mod and build system in Destiny 2. It is supposed to make everything much easier soon and is praised by Guardians on the Destiny reddit as ‘liberation from restrictions.’
Radical innovations are meant to ensure that you have to keep track of fewer things.
The new system will strongly emphasize flexibility in builds.
You will have to worry less about how basic mechanics work.
Additionally, players are supposed to be subject to fewer arbitrary restrictions than before.
It sounds like Bungie’s goal remains firmly focused on making its loot shooter significantly more casual-friendly on many levels and radically streamlining its systems. How this will be achieved in detail, we will now reveal to you in a compact overview.
[toc]
In the latest preview trailer for Lightfall, there was a first look at the city “Neomuna,” where you will also soon be able to try out the new loadout system:
1. New In-game Loadout System
With the DLC “Lightfall”, Destiny 2 will become independent of third-party apps, like Destiny Item Manager, by integrating its own loadout system into its game client.
As Bungie announced in the latest blog post on bungie.net, not all current builds that you play now will be available at the launch of “Lightfall.” Initially, Guardians will only have access to “a solid offer.”
It is planned to expand the build crafting options with each new season.
So it could well be that the current builds of your Guardian, which you might still be working on, will need to be rebuilt almost or completely new and will likely have different values.
10 Loadouts per Character: Players can create and save up to 10 loadouts per character in the upcoming DLC “Lightfall” and change them again. This was confirmed by Bungie on Twitter on January 20. So if you play the game with 3 characters, you could have up to 30 loadouts.
Also, the perks and values of the current weapons will be visible there without the need to constantly switch back and forth between the character and loadout menu.
With a click through a new menu, the equipped loadouts can then be easily accessed.
This is how Guardians will create and manage their builds in Lightfall.
This will make it possible to swap equipment sets in the game without countless detours to the vault and without having to open a second screen.
Using symbols and colors, the loadouts can also be marked by damage types or the activity for which they are intended.
Within the system, it will also be displayed how applied mods affect the values of your character, so that you can better compare options.
There will be an overview screen where all used options can be seen. This will make it easy to share your build with other players through screenshots.
Will the new system also store shaders and ornaments? Yes. The transmog system will not only continue to exist in Destiny 2, it will also fully work with the new loadout system. Bungie has confirmed that you can save your armor ornaments and shaders on the builds within the system.
Build Slots Must Be Unlocked
However, in order to use all slots, you must first unlock them through the new Guardian rank system and the completion of challenges.
In Lightfall, all mods will be automatically unlocked when players reach rank 6 of the Guardian rank system.
Players who have been playing Destiny 2 longer will start directly at rank 6 and thus be able to use all mods immediately at the launch of the DLC.
What is the Guardian Rank System? The Guardian Rank System is also introduced with the new DLC “Lightfall.” Senior Lead Designer Steve Dolan described it as a type of “knowledge ladder” that includes 11 ranks, with the highest rank granting Guardians the title “Paragon.” You can complete challenges in it and thus level up.
What is the Guardian Commendation System? Additionally, a second system in Lightfall also evaluates your in-game performance, which you provide for other Guardians. These can appreciate your help by granting attributes like “Good Leader.” Therefore, someone who enjoys a high reputation in the Guardian Commendation System is a valuable member of the community and possesses player experience that is positively recognized. With this system, Bungie aims to strengthen the sense of community and bring Guardians closer together.
More precise information about both systems will be provided before the launch of the new DLC. Until then, the Destiny 2 Showcase will provide more information about it.
This is what the Guardian Rank System looks like in Destiny 2: Lightfall.
2. Elemental Shields Will Cause Fewer Problems
“Exact Match” Says Goodbye: Currently, Guardians in Destiny 2 still need to adjust their abilities and weapons to the shield type of enemies before each start in the endgame.
The reason for this is the difficulty modifier “Exact Match.” It makes fine shields highly resistant to unequal elemental damage. The modifier is one of the least popular in the game, which has elevated the exo-weapon “Arbalest” to a predominant use because it ignores this modifier.
Starting with Lightfall, the modifier “Exact Match” will be banned from high-difficulty activities. Therefore, as of February 28, 2023, it will no longer be necessary to diversify your damage types to avoid shields that cannot be broken.
The base resistance of shields against non-matching damage types will be adjusted to 50 percent for the entire game starting with “Lightfall.” Just as it currently is in the PvEVP mode Gambit.
Armor Elements Will Become Less Important
Bungie will also clean up with the elements in the mods. Specific solar, void, or arc mods will no longer exist, and mods will be tied solely to armor slots, like helmet or chest protection.
All energy types of the mods will be removed so that they are no longer bound to a specific armor affinity. This way, you no longer need to switch between energy types of your armor to find the desired mod.
Furthermore, the energy costs for many of these mods will be lowered.
This will indirectly give players more space in the vault, as they will no longer need to hold four items of arc, solar, stasis, or void.
Bungie will likely continue to aim for bonuses from monochromatic builds in the future. In other words, builds that depend solely on a single damage type, such as arc. To achieve this effectively, it seems reasonable to ease the restrictions directly on the elements.
In the future, changes to mods will show what improves or worsens.
Mods Cost Less and Are Easier to Obtain
With the elimination of elements, players will already feel less pressure regarding armor energy. But the energy costs for armor mods and their unlocking will be adjusted, as well as how to earn them starting with Lightfall.
The aforementioned Guardian rank system will be used to earn mods along a clear path of unlocking.
In the seasonal artifact, only 12 perks can be unlocked and be active at a time.
If you want to use 12 different mods or change the configuration somewhat, the artifact must be reset. However, this will cost you nothing.
What happens to the extra slot of the “Artful Armor”? The “Artful Armor”, which previously granted players the option for a fifth mod slot, will be adapted. Starting with Lightfall, it will receive a unique mod slot, granting you +3 for all character stats, such as strength, mobility, resilience, etc.
The fifth slot in the Artful Armor will boost your character stats starting with Lightfall.
3. Champions Will Be Heavily Nerfed
For a long time, some players have found the challenging champions in Destiny 2 to be the most annoying opponents. They make it mandatory to use a special weapon with anti-champion mods and were sometimes unpredictable. Additionally, in activities with matchmaking, especially new players did not understand these opponents and therefore had no idea how to deal with them or how to prepare against them.
With the new DLC, the annoying champions will not disappear from the game. But Bungie will make countering champions more logical for you and make it very easy to deal with them.
Passive Weapon Mods Against Champions
In the future, Bungie will take away the need for you to remember to actively equip anti-champion mods or use special weapons.
The artifact mods against champions will become unlockable perks for the duration of a season.
Starting with Lightfall, anti-champion mods will only work passively in your equipment and will automatically take effect without Guardians having to equip them.
Soon, Guardians will be able to easily stop the champions with their built-in ‘champion stun.’
Guardians Stun Champions More Effectively with Abilities: But that’s not all; you can also eliminate champions in the future. With Lightfall, various subclass abilities will receive a built-in “champion stun.”

A seemingly strong item was on sale in Diablo Immortal for real money. Players noticed, however, that the effect was different from what was described – and quickly the description was nerfed. This is exactly why Blizzard is now facing a lawsuit.
What item is it about? The Blessing of the Worthy is one of the legendary gems in Diablo Immortal. It is the only one that can be purchased directly for real money in the game’s shop.
The gem is offered in various bundles, costing between €30.99 and €119.99. The Blessing of the Worthy is considered one of the best gems in the game for some classes – or it was, before it was essentially nerfed.
What has changed? Originally, the description of the gem promised that wearing it would give you a chance to deal 12% of your maximum health as damage. However, this effect was never accurate.
Instead, the gem dealt 12% of current health damage. Especially for barbarians, who can survive with one health point through a skill but actually have a large health pool, the gem is essentially useless.
The creators changed the description of the gem in October 2022 to accurately reflect the current state. The reaction back then was overwhelmingly negative. Some even said: players had never been this angry.
In the video, we explain how legendary gems actually work:

Diablo Immortal: What are legendary gems? Facts and locations in 3 minutes
Migliaccio & Rathod specialize in class action lawsuits and are now looking for players who want to complain about the change to the Blessing of the Worthy. The firm has set up a form for affected individuals to contact them.
The lawyers write:
Rather than offering refunds in the form of compensation, Blizzard responded to the community by stating that they would change the text of the item description to reflect the actual effect. This practice essentially amounts to a bait-and-switch offer, as the purchasable item advertised an effect that players wanted, but in the end was something entirely different.
In a class action lawsuit, like the one Migliaccio & Rathod is planning, typically one judgment is sufficient to compensate all plaintiffs if they can prove they were affected by the same issue. Such a form of lawsuit does not exist in Germany.
Currently, there is no public statement from Blizzard. We at MeinMMO have also requested a statement, but a response is still pending.
However, the game studio is also experiencing quite an uproar elsewhere:
A gamer finds a broken computer with an AMD Ryzen 9 3800X in the trash. He wants to salvage the remains and builds a functioning system from the components. However, after 20 minutes, it’s already over. But the user wants to keep going.
A user found a completely destroyed computer in the scrap. It had a Ryzen 9 3800X from AMD, which is definitely high-quality hardware that can still be considered high-end today. But can you build a gaming PC from a broken system that you can actually play with?
In a first test, the hardware actually works. But after 20 minutes, the system crashes. He believes that it is not due to the hardware, but rather a lack of thermal paste. Because the found hardware is still quite powerful even in 2023.
Whether you can still use or even repair such severely damaged hardware will be revealed at the end of our article. And you will also read what you should definitely stay away from.
High-end CPU and entry-level graphics card found in the trash
What hardware is in the system? In the pictures that the user posted of the broken system, the installed components can still be recognized fairly well (via reddit.com):
Ryzen 9 3900X (processor)
MSI MPG Gaming Plus X570 (motherboard)
RX 580 4 GB (GPU)
A Wi-Fi card from Gigabyte
16 GB RAM
With the Ryzen 9 3900X, a top CPU from AMD is in the system, which was originally released in 2019. However, the processor still considered powerful, and GameStar ranks the Ryzen 9 3900X among the fastest processors in their test.
Currently, you have to pay around 400 euros for the processor, but for 350 euros, you can now get a significantly more modern CPU with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
The Radeon RX 580 from 2017 is now considered more of an entry-level card, especially since this is the 4 GB model. The old Polaris architecture has been replaced multiple times.
What is the condition of the components? The most surprising thing is that the processor still looks quite good, as all the pins on the back are still intact and none of them are bent.
The CPU cooler, on the other hand, is heavily rusted, and the backplate of the graphics card is quite warped due to temperature fluctuations. The Wi-Fi card is also severely bent and has seen better days. The motherboard is slightly dirty, but the RAM still looks usable.
The case, on the other hand, was completely destroyed and not reused.
The hardware from the trash actually works, but only for 20 minutes
Does the hardware work? In a new post, the user explained that the hardware actually works. After he cleaned and assembled everything, he was able to get Ubuntu (Linux) running on the hardware.
However, after about 20 minutes, it’s already over. The user suspects that it’s due to a lack of thermal paste, which causes the system to shut down because of overheating. He explains himself:
I cleaned everything and put it together, it managed to boot into BIOS and then run Ubuntu from a flash drive for about 20 minutes before crashing during the installation. I suspect overheating due to a lack of paste on the CPU and missing thermal pads and dried paste on the GPU.
I ordered an SSD to test Windows/Benchmarks this weekend, and I ordered new pads/paste. If I get everything working, I will make a final update post showing the build.
By the way, he only bought a new power supply for the test to be able to test the components.
Basically, it really depends on the condition of the components. Broken pins from AMD CPUs can sometimes be easily fixed, as the well-known tech YouTuber JayTwoCents shows in his video on YouTube.
All parts that are mounted on the surface, such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, voltage and power regulators can usually be replaced. If you are experienced electronics technicians and have the appropriate equipment, you can indeed replace and repair damaged parts with the right setup.
When it comes to very outdated hardware, this effort is rarely worthwhile, as many manufacturers have also discontinued software and driver support for old generations. Often, replacement parts for old hardware cost more than simply buying new components.
Some people also use other components, like irreparable graphics cards, as a parts depot, utilizing existing capacitors and trying to repair other parts with them.
When is the repair considered finished? If the graphics chip or the processor unit itself is damaged, you can assume that the damages are irreparable. Especially tiny damages that you cannot see with the naked eye cannot be repaired by any technician. Also, broken PCIe interfaces are rarely able to be repaired.
You should also stay away from broken power supplies. In the worst case, you can get a life-threatening electric shock. Then it is better to invest money in a new, functioning power supply. You should never open a broken power supply.
By the way, a YouTuber tested how far one can go with used hardware. He built a gaming PC for 600 euros, but he didn’t get far with it:
In Pokémon GO the Lunar New Year event 2023 is currently running. Especially during these days, one should not ignore trading – just like gifts.
What’s going on in Pokémon GO? The Lunar New Year event in Pokémon GO started on Thursday, January 19, 2023, but will also end on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 8:00 PM.
Above all, one should keep an eye on the interaction bonuses of the event. Because especially players who tend to ignore their gifts and trade opportunities in Pokémon GO could otherwise miss out.
Better chance of lucky Pokémon if you interact with other players
What are these bonuses? Usually, there are obvious bonuses for events, such as more catch XP or more stardust for each Pokémon caught. For the Lunar New Year event, however, good bonuses are hidden behind interacting with other trainers – which can easily be overlooked during a short Pokémon GO walk.
Currently, there is an increased chance of becoming lucky friends. But to even have the opportunity, you must interact with other trainers – for example, by opening and sending gifts.
At the same time, there is double stardust for opening gifts. So take advantage of these days to open and send a few packages. Tip: With a trick, you can open gifts faster.
Additionally, there is a focus on trading, which is currently worthwhile. In general, you can currently make an additional special trade per day – so two daily.
There is also an increased chance of receiving lucky Pokémon through trading, even if you are not lucky friends. This advantage should also be utilized.
What’s the deal with “luck”? So-called “lucky Pokémon” have the property of only needing half the stardust to level up. They also have IV values of at least 80%. They are quite good Pokémon. You only get them through “lucky trades” with other trainers, which usually happen randomly.
“Lucky friends,” on the other hand, is a status that can be achieved with other trainers through interactions such as sending gifts. Once you achieve this status, you get a guaranteed lucky trade. You can then use it to choose a Pokémon that will become a lucky Pokémon after the trade.
In World of Warcraft, you can currently grab a really cool skin for your dragon – without much hassle. You just need to take down a “small” boss.
Cool mounts in World of Warcraft are considered by many players to be the best way to represent themselves in the game. However, in Dragonflight, this has been somewhat restricted since you are mostly traveling on a flying dragon. While these can be extensively customized, you can only really stand out with a very special skin:
You can make your dragon look like Raszageth. And the best part: You can easily unlock this in LFR, the easiest raid mode!
What kind of skin is it? “Incarnation of the Storm Eater” is a variant for your renewed proto-dragon – that’s the one you receive quite early on the Coast of Awakening (the red one). Unlike other customizations you unlock, the “Incarnation of the Storm Eater” is a complete overhaul of your dragon. You cannot choose additional decorations, but instead get a “complete package” right away. Visually, your dragon then corresponds to the appearance of Raszageth himself – including the cool, pulsating lightning effects.
You can see how the fight against Raszageth ends here:
Start video
WoW shows new cinematic: This is how the battle against Raszageth ends
Where can I find the skin? The item “Renewed Proto-Dragon: Incarnation of the Storm Eater” can be obtained from Raszageth. He is the final boss of the raid “Vault of the Incarnations” and has been available in LFR mode since last Wednesday. So you don’t need a fixed raid group; you can simply participate in the raid through the automatic group finder.
However, it is advisable to bring a little patience. Because Raszageth still has the majority of her mechanics even in LFR, and many of them can lead to instant character death. At the very least, it’s a good idea to take a look at the dungeon journal or, best of all, a short video guide if you don’t want to be stuck on this boss for too long.
The loot is personal loot – only for you.
What is the drop chance? There are no exact details on the drop chance for the skin so far. However, most groups report that the skin drops only for one character in the raid group – if at all. So it may take several weeks before you get the skin.
If you don’t have luck the first time, just try again next week. You can also try with multiple characters if you have other champions at level 70. Once unlocked, the skin applies to your entire account – all your characters can then soar through the skies on Raszageth.
However, “Renewed Proto-Dragon: Incarnation of the Storm Eater” counts as personal loot. So you don’t have to compete with the raid for the skin and instead receive it directly from the reward chest after defeating Raszageth.
What makes it so special? In the past of World of Warcraft, raid bosses could only drop a special mount after heroic or even mythic difficulty. Thus, there were always exclusive mounts that could be used for some time only by the best players – or those with the biggest wallets.
Whether Blizzard made this change to make “sell runs” for mounts less attractive is uncertain. However, it is clear that corresponding boosting groups have likely lost part of their clientele now that the fancy Raszageth design will also be dropped in LFR.
Have you already secured the cool skin?

The YouTuber Kilian “Tanzverbot” Heinrich (25) makes no secret of his aversion to gambling on platforms like Twitch. Now he was spotted having dinner with Ron Bielecki, one of the biggest German slots streamers.
What is Tanzverbot’s relationship with gambling? Tanzverbot has long been known as a critic of gambling streams on Twitch and even confronted MontanaBlack because of it. After all, streamers have a role model function for their younger viewers.
When the big German streamers like MontanaBlack and Knossi stopped gambling because it became too risky for them, a gap was created. In this gap, streamers Kevin “OrangeMorange” Bongers and Theo “Scurrows” Bottländer stepped in and thus came into the crosshairs of Tanzverbot.
In August 2022, the simmering conflict between the parties escalated and ultimately led to a physical altercation at gamescom:
In social media, the warring content creators continue to provoke one another. Now Tanzverbot is being accused of hypocrisy, as he was seen on Instagram with Ron Bielecki, one of the biggest German gambling streamers (via sullygnome).
Ron Bielecki is primarily seen in the gambling category “Slots” on Twitch
Spontaneous dinner causes shitstorm
Where does the excitement come from? On January 18, an Instagram story of the gambling streamer Ron Bielecki circulated, in which he filmed Tanzverbot in a jewelry store. He joked that he had thought he could afford quite a bit with his casino winnings.
Afterwards, the two apparently went out to dinner together and also posted about it in their respective stories on Instagram.
What did the criticism look like? Scurrows and Orangemorange shared screenshots of the Instagram stories on Twitter. For the two, the shared dinner proves the double standards that they have long accused Tanzverbot of.
Scurrows wrote that Tanzverbot publicly labels casino streamers as disgusting but then goes out to eat with them privately – he is such a hypocrite.

The gambling streamers accuse Tanzverbot of being a hypocrite
What were the reactions? They were quite mixed. Some fans could certainly understand the accusations, but numerous comments on Twitter indicate that Scurrows has a rather unhealthy obsession with the Berlin YouTuber.
Nevertheless, Tanzverbot apparently felt compelled to issue a statement on the situation.

Tanzverbot: “Casino is still garbage”
How does Tanzverbot respond to the accusations? He wrote a short statement in which he explained that Ron Bielecki is simply a likable person, unlike “the others.” Nevertheless, he condemns his casino streams and lets him know that “it feels like every 5 minutes.”
However, casino is still garbage, according to Tanzverbot.
Separation between private person and public appearance
What other opinions are there? The YouTuber Rutkay discussed the situation surrounding the dinner between Tanzverbot and Ron Bielecki in a video.
Rutkay understands that Tanzverbot makes a separation between the private person and his appearance as a casino streamer, but views it critically as well. After all, Tanzverbot is a public figure and has a large reach – he needs to consider whom he offers a platform in his stories.
Particularly problematic in this regard is that Ron Bielecki announced his next casino stream on Instagram just about 20 minutes after the shared Instagram story with Tanzverbot.
It seems to some that he is using Tanzverbot’s reach to promote his gambling streams, which he further supported by sharing in his own story.
The discussion makes it clear that the casino topic is not yet off the table, even though Twitch introduced new guidelines for gambling on the platform in October 2022. Many streamers continue to play on a new platform.
A YouTuber challenged a coach who offers paid training duels in Pokémon GO on the internet. In a video, he shows how it went – and how he punished himself for losses.
Who is it about? The YouTuber “Poké Daxi” regularly posts new videos about Pokémon GO and has gained 356,000 subscribers with his content so far. He shows tips and tricks, but also enjoys experimenting a bit with the game.
As in an interesting video from January 14, 2023: The YouTuber hired a player who offers training matches for money on the portal “Fiverr”.
He writes about himself that he has been playing Pokémon GO since early 2016 and has “OP-teams with Pokémon for PvP battles in every league” (via fiverr).
He offers training if you want to test your team before a tournament or the start of a new battle league season – or if you simply consider yourself a “worthy Pokémon trainer”.
A set of 5 matches is offered by the trainer for €9.74, a set of 10 for €19.48, and a set of 15 for €24.36. In fact, you can find some trainers on Fiverr who offer various services for Pokémon GO.
Poké Daxi saw an exciting challenge here and faced off against the trainer.
YouTuber makes it more exciting – sends a Shiny for each loss
This is the challenge: “On Fiverr, you can hire people for various jobs – and today I technically hired a professional trainer,” explains Poké Daxi in the video.
“We will have a few battles in the Super League. And to make it exciting, there’s a twist: I told him that I’m training for Regionals and that he shouldn’t make it easy for me. But every time I lose, I have to transfer a Shiny.”
With the risk of losing some valuable Shinys, the YouTuber went into the duels. You can see how it went here in the video by Poké Daxi:

How the duels turned out: Overall, Poké Daxi played 5 matches against the “pro trainer”.
In the first match, the YouTuber did not want to go straight in with a full meta team. He used Tohaido, Melmetal, and Toxiquak – and won against Jugong, Bibor, and Nachtara.
The YouTuber’s conclusion was that he had won – but the opponent was better than he thought.
In Match 2, Poké Daxi wants to use “really strong” monsters and uses Machomei, Tangoloss, and Alola-Sandamer. His opponent brings Feelinara, Bibor, and Nachtara.
The YouTuber loses this match – and transfers a Shiny Ditto, which is quite rare, as a self-punishment .
In the third match, Poké Daxi wants to use a meta team to avoid losing any more Shinys. He uses Bisaflor, Cresselia, and Crypto-Alola-Knogga. However, he faces Altaria and Nachtara, and he doesn’t even get to see the third monster, as he is countered so quickly. As a punishment, he sends a Shiny Lugia to the professor.
In Match 4, the YouTuber competes with Azumarill, Zobiris, and Alola-Knogge – one of his favorite teams. “If I lose this, I might have to stop with PvP,” he says. However, against Tengulist, Fiaro, and Registeel, he again comes up short and sends a shiny Alola-Digdri.
The final match should be won by Noctuh, Zobiris, and Sumpex. It works against Hypno, Bibor, and Azumarill – and the YouTuber’s Shiny collection remains intact.
In the end, the YouTuber is happy about his victory, but also says: “These guys really don’t make it easy for you.”

As befits pirates, you can also rob other pirates, meaning players. However, some players behave extremely unsportingly here.
Season 8 has brought many new contents to Sea of Thieves. Check out the trailer for the season in the pirate game:

Sea of Thieves: The Features of Season 8
This is how PvP works: Originally, Sea of Thieves had an open PvP system where players could fight each other anytime. However, that wasn’t very well received, especially since some bullies took treasures from new or inexperienced players just before they reached a safe shore.
The system was revised, but there were still some players who tyrannized the game. Now, developer Rare has completely revamped the PvP, introducing a new feature.
Since Season 8, which started in November 2022, PvP fans can now choose one of two factions and join them. They then have the opportunity to hunt ships of the opposing faction and earn rewards. The open PvP still exists, but the new system should streamline the constant bickering and provide PvP-hungry fans with more options.
In the open world, you will then fight in epic battles against each other with your ships, usually in a 1-on-1 scenario. Passing ships without a faction are usually exempt, but they can decide spontaneously to join in and side with either side.
This leads to problems, as a user on reddit shows:

What is the problem now? The new system leads to some players apparently coordinating. They exploit the opportunity to participate in battles.
While two opponents are facing off, the seemingly uninvolved players join the clash and immediately shift the balance strongly in favor of their partners, with about 2 ships now facing one. This practice seems to be quite widespread.
The developers agree that such a thing should not happen and was not intended either. In the latest update from January 19, they are implementing changes to make unfair battles less attractive.
Along with the update, a new adventure went online, The Secret Wilds:
Start video
Sea of Thieves: The “Secret Wilds” Adventure
This is how the developers react: Shortly after the new system went live and first players complained, a moderator on reddit said that this “is not the intended way” to play the mode.
Now, with an update from January 19, 2023, Rare wants to take steps against this unfair piracy. In the patch notes for the update, it states:
The chance of encountering a battle with multiple ships has been reduced
Crews that join a battle between two faction ships do not receive rewards
Whether the changes are enough to put a stop to this play style remains to be seen.
That Sea of Thieves promotes unfair play and not necessarily sportsmanship has been a topic for a while and is not necessarily something that many players seem to be bothered by, even if it happens in tournaments:
DrDisrespect is known for roaming around in various shooters, but also for ranting about all sorts of things. Recently, he criticized Call of Duty: Warzone 2 – but praised Apex Legends for it.
The streamer is mainly active in the world of shooters and even has his own shooter in development. However, the Doc is often seen playing Call of Duty – but that has recently become the subject of his anger.
DrDisrespect criticizes Warzone 2, seeks an alternative, but nothing fits quite right
This is what DrDisrespect says about Warzone 2: The streamer has been criticizing the new Warzone for some time. Already a few days ago, portals like Dexerto and Gamerant reported on the streamer’s frustration and his search for an alternative. In a now private video (via YouTube), which we could still see before, DrDisrespect and streamer colleague TimTheTatman discuss.
TimTheTatman asks the Doc how long he would give the game before he stops playing it. “I think I’ll give it another week, maybe two,” says DrDisrespect, but then confronts a problem: “At the same time, I think: What the hell am I supposed to play then? PUBG?”
The Doc can’t agree with that either. He loves Call of Duty and wants to play it, get a few good plays, but it is one-dimensional and boring.
Then he half-heartedly suggests that he could become a full-time Valorant player, which TimTheTatman comments on with a laugh. The suggestions of Fortnite or Overwatch from his streamer colleague are also met with some confusion from the Doc.
In the video, you can learn everything about the Doc’s ban on Twitch:

DrDisrespect was a celebrity on Twitch – His ban remains a big mystery to this day
Which shooter does he praise? Unusually praising words were reserved by the Doc for Respawn’s shooter Apex Legends. In a more recent stream on January 16 with teammate “Zlaner”, both discuss again their view of the difficult state of Warzone 2.0, before Zlaner brings up Apex as a possible alternative. He describes it as “really a good game” (via YouTube).
That gets the Doc excited; he agrees and says: “I really have to say, this is the hardest shooter game I’ve ever played,” adding: “Very good players play this game.” Then both briefly discuss that they could attack again there – before they refocus on their Warzone match.
With the criticism of Warzone 2.0, the streamers are currently not alone. Recently, there have been increasingly critical voices suggesting that some players also find the game boring.
What do you think of the current state of Warzone? Do you have shooter alternatives? Let us know in the comments!

For several years, the developers have been working on the successor of the famous S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl – or simply: Stalker. Now the Ukrainian studio behind the game gives new insights into the development and shows with 4 new images how good the new survival game looks.
What is Stalker 2? The story of Stalker takes place in Chernobyl, several years after the reactor disaster. There was a second explosion, the entire area is now contaminated and full of dangerous mutants.
At the same time, particularly valuable “artifacts” have emerged, which various people are fighting over to get their hands on. As a “Stalker,” you risk your life to obtain these artifacts.
In terms of gameplay, Stalker is something like a survival RPG:
You must be careful and survive, as the entire area is contaminated and full of mutants
Hunger, sleep, injuries, and radiation take their toll on you
Over 30 weapons are available for you to choose from and can be customized
You can gain reputation with different factions – or fight them
Played from a first-person perspective in a realistic environment with Unreal Engine 5. A day-night cycle is supposed to further contribute to the immersion. The game has a good chance of being included in our list of the best survival games for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation on MeinMMO.
Stalker 2 is one of the new survival games of 2023 that you can look forward to. You can see the latest trailer for the game here:

New Images of Stalker 2 – Release is expected in 2023 despite difficult circumstances
What is new: On Twitter, the official channel of Stalker 2 has shared new images of the upcoming survival game. Different locations can be seen, as well as protective gear, various enemies, and at least 6 different weapons:
2 submachine guns
a long-barreled shotgun
a short double-barrel shotgun
a carbine
a tactical assault rifle
On Twitter, many fans praise the visuals of the game. The environment looks fantastic and particularly the famous, claustrophobic atmosphere comes across really well:
When will STALKER 2 be released? After several delays, Stalker 2 is expected to be released in late 2023 on PC via Steam, Epic, and Gog, as well as for Xbox – December 2023 is indicated, but likely as a placeholder. Shortly thereafter for PlayStation 5, although a date is still missing.
In a report on wired, the developers provided insight into the difficulties of development. The originally Kiev-based studio had to leave the country due to the Russian invasion and is now working from Prague.
In protest, even the name of the game was changed: from “Heart of Chernobyl” to the Ukrainian spelling: “Heart of Chornobyl.” The game can already be pre-ordered now and costs between €59.99 and €109.99, depending on the version.
If you want to pass the time until the release of Stalker 2, you can look forward to a potpourri of various survival games in 2023, as this year has a lot to offer:
The FIFA 23 TOTY is now known. The Team of the Year features extremely strong players, plus TOTY Icons and a 12th Man will be added. All information here.
What is the TOTY? In the “TOTY”, the Team of the Year, the 11 best players of the year are represented – or at least those nominated by the fans.
The cards are expected to land in the packs of FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. However, it’s important to note that the chance of getting such cards is tiny.
Now the result of the election is officially known. We will show you here the complete TOTY as well as more information about the content of the TOTY event.
FIFA 23 TOTY: The complete Team of the Year
This is the FIFA 23 TOTY: The 11 players in the TOTY are now known. So far, only the overall ratings are known, not the individual ratings on the card. But it is already clear that it is an extremely strong TOTY.
GK: Courtois (96)
CM: Bellingham (95) – A very popular player in FIFA 23
ST: Benzema (97)
CM: De Bruyne
CB: Militao (94). Also a popular meta defender.
RB: Hakimi (94) – will also be a top card at RB,
LB: Hernandez (94) – Basically one of the best defenders in FIFA 23, even improved.
ST: Mbappé (97) – Likely candidate for the best striker in the game.
RF: Messi (98)
CM: Modric (96)
CB: Van Dijk (96) – again: One of the best defenders, improved again.
These are the TOTY Icons: For some icons, there will be special TOTY items. They are expected to come into the game on January 20. These players are according to a statement by EA:
Alessandro Nesta
Andrea Pirlo
Ashley Cole
Claude Makélélé
David Beckham
Edwin van der Sar
Gerd Müller
Hugo Sánchez
Javier Zanetti
Nemanja Vidic
Robert Pirès
Ronaldinho
Ruud Gullit
Xabi Alonso
Who will be the 12th Man in the TOTY? This is still open, as there will be an extra vote in the game for the 12th TOTY card. The candidates are also already known. Up for the vote are:
Forward Erling Haaland
Midfielder Federico Valverde
Defender João Cancelo
Overall, it’s noticeable: In the TOTY as well as in the vote for the 12th Man, there are many cards that are already very popular in the meta of FIFA 23. They will now get another boost and are likely to be even more powerful in this form.
Asmongold, whose real name is Zack, is arguably the biggest MMORPG streamer on Twitch. He recently compared streamers for Lost Ark, Final Fantasy XIV, and WoW and came to a sobering conclusion.
What connection does Asmongold have to the games? Asmongold grew up with WoW; he has a love-hate relationship with Blizzard’s MMORPG. Hardly anyone complains as much about WoW, yet he is there at the start of each new expansion.
However, the streamer has also had difficult phases privately, withdrawing temporarily from Twitch and WoW. Meanwhile, he seemed to have more fun with Lost Ark and Final Fantasy XIV, but the grind of these MMORPGs was probably too exhausting for him.
Asmongold is thus quite familiar with all 3 MMORPGs. However, he did not compare the games themselves, but their Twitch streamers – and one thing seems to be missing for him in WoW: cute anime girls!
Start video
Career and life of Asmongold in 3 minutes – What makes him special?
Asmongold on the “Final Fantasy” experience
How did the comparison come about? The streamer was watching the reactions of “Final Fantasy” players to the new raid with the goddess Nophica, which fans were especially looking forward to. He mentioned that they probably took inspiration from the gacha game Genshin Impact: “Just bring a hot anime girl into your game and all your problems will be solved.”
Among the reactions was also a Vtuber. Her comment that Nophica could “deliver her milk directly into [her] mouth” caused a stir in Asmongold’s chat.
Asmongold, however, remarked: “This is a Vtuber; they are… different. So it makes sense that she says that.”
Vtubers are YouTubers and streamers who do not appear on camera themselves but are represented by a 2- or 3-dimensional avatar. Their facial expressions and gestures are transferred to the model. Avatars in the shape of cute anime girls are particularly popular.
What did Asmongold find? Subsequently, the streamer wanted to share a special insight with his chat. He opened the categories for Lost Ark, Final Fantasy, and WoW on Twitch.
He immediately noticed that there were some Vtubers in Lost Ark. He found it difficult to count accurately because the classification was apparently not entirely clear:
It’s kind of half and half; the mouth of that little thing moves […] and it’s just a cat. But it’s a Vtuber cat.
When Asmongold counted the Vtubers in Final Fantasy, the picture became even clearer: “There’s one, two, three already! We have 3 in the top 7!” That is, according to Asmongold, the “Final Fantasy” experience.
But it looks completely different in WoW. We have embedded the corresponding clip for you here:

What about WoW? Unlike Lost Ark and Final Fantasy, the Twitch category for WoW is dominated by a completely different group of people: “hairy middle-aged men.”
Asmongold comments on the streamers displayed at the top of the category and continually comes to the same conclusion: bearded guys. “Number 4? Guess what, a hairy middle-aged man. Oh, we have more… middle-aged hairy men,” says Asmongold, finishing his enumeration.
However, one thing is completely missing in WoW: anime girls.
There are no Vtubers in World of Warcraft. None! The closest thing to a Vtuber is Yumy, a cat that has a waffle on its head.
His viewers can’t help but notice that Asmongold seems to be a bit envious. They are already hoping that someone creates a Vtuber model for the streamer and expect the debut of “Asmon-chan.”
This is indeed quite fitting, as Asmongold has previously gushed about how easy Vtubers have it:
The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online has received 36 updates with the DLC Firesong. With each new chapter, new trials and new item sets have been added. We at MeinMMO show you where you can find each set in which trial.
This article gives you an overview of the five-piece and two-piece item sets from the trials or raids, as they can also be called.
What are Raids anyway? This content is designed for up to 12 players: In the normal difficulty mode, you can get a good feel if you have no raid experience yet and slowly try out the processes and mechanics.
The next difficulty level is aimed at players who have already gained some experience in raids. In other words, the veteran mode is for players who have reached the maximum level for gear and such.
But keep in mind that the raids have usually become noticeably more difficult each year to keep up with increasingly powerful players, better sets, and combinations, as well as further increases in the maximum champion level. Therefore, it is advisable to first take a look at the raids in Kargstein.
In veteran mode with hard mode, it is essential to coordinate as a group, develop tactics together, and implement them as a team. And each individual player must know their character and abilities well.

Today, on January 19, 2023, the gates of Ulduar in WotLK Classic will open. The raid plays a special role in World of Warcraft. The raid first appeared in 2009, 14 years ago, but gets a new trailer for the release in Classic.
What kind of raid is that? Ulduar is one of the gigantic complexes of the Titans that remain on Azeroth. The raid offers 13 bosses as well as one optional boss. At the end, the Old God Yogg-Saron awaits you, whose madness taints the entire instance.
If players wanted, they could activate optional difficulties on 10 of the 14 bosses to later receive better loot. Ulduar was also the last raid where this was possible. Later raids then offered a normal and heroic mode in addition to the number of players to determine the difficulty.
To prepare for Ulduar, Blizzard has released a new video for the 14-year-old raid:

WotLK Classic: The new trailer for the cult raid Ulduar
When can I enter Ulduar? In WotLK Classic, Ulduar starts on Thursday, January 19 at 11:59 PM CET. From then on, you can enter the raid and fight the bosses.
There are already other contents that are worth preparing for: Titan Rune Dungeons.
The latest patch 3.1.0 in WotLK Classic is on the servers and brings a new feature to the game that wasn’t there before: Titan Rune Dungeons. At the beginning of a heroic dungeon, you can now interact with a Titan Rune.
If all players use the rune, the enemies in the dungeon become stronger. They gain more health points, deal more damage, and receive special abilities depending on the dungeon. The system works roughly like Mythic+ in retail WoW.
In augmented dungeons, better loot drops than usual, corresponding to the loot from the 10-player modes of Naxxramas, the Eye of Eternity, and the Obsidian Sanctum. Additionally, there are 3 Emblems of Conquest in addition to the Emblems of Honor.
WotLK Classic is very popular among fans, but will soon lose a large player base: China. Here, Blizzard did not renew its partnership with NetEase, and almost all of the studio’s games will go offline there on January 23:
The new co-op game Wayfinder (Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox) was presented at the Game Awards 2022. It impresses with a fresh setting and a world that reminds somewhat of the dead MMORPG WildStar. This week, the first tests for the game are starting.
What kind of game is this? Wayfinder is an interesting mix of dungeon crawler, loot hunting, co-op battles, and crafting. Even housing is said to have a place in the world of Wayfinder. The whole thing also relies on various heroes that also have something like an ultimate ability.
Wayfinder is quite a genre mix and at first glance sounds rather like something completely new and not at all like an MMORPG. However, the setting of the new co-op game strongly reminds of the popular MMORPG WildStar, which has since died.
Here, the new game mixes fantasy with sci-fi and high-tech, creating a world that you don’t often see in video games. Here, you can expect portals to other worlds, magical daggers, and gears reminiscent of steampunk and large sci-fi touchscreens.
This is mixed with fireballs, shotguns, scythes, and martial arts fighting styles, making Wayfinder truly unique.
Here you can see the first trailer for Wayfinder:

Wayfinder – Game Awards Trailer
WildStar is missed: Although the MMORPG has been completed for years, many fans still sorely miss WildStar. In 2020, there was even a petition in which more than 10,000 players demanded the MMORPG back.
Wayfinder at least reminds in its appearance and setting strongly of the deceased MMORPG and could provide a new refuge for fans. Even if Wayfinder focuses more on the co-op aspect than on having many players, as is usual in an MMORPG.
When will Wayfinder be released? The action game is expected to start Early Access on the Steam platform in Spring 2023. At the same time, the version for PS4 and PS5 should go online. In the autumn, further platforms such as Xbox are set to follow.
Still within 2023, the game is also expected to be released and will support Free2Play.
Cross-play as well as cross-save between platforms should be possible, allowing you to play together with everyone and even switch platforms at any time. The first tests for the game will even start in January.
How can you play beforehand? The first tests for Wayfinder are already starting in January, or rather the second ones, as there was already an initial test for the PC on December 13, 2022. Now, more follow for PC, but also for PS4 and PS5.
A second PC beta took place on January 17, and the first PlayStation 5 test starts today, January 19, 2023. Further beta tests are expected to follow “early 2023”. If you want to register for this, you only need to create an account at playwayfinder.com.
What do you think of the game? Have you already participated in one of the tests, or would you rather wait to see what Wayfinder can offer before diving deeper into the game? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.
