If you don’t want to wait forever for updates or performance improvements, you turn to a console. Because in most cases, games run significantly better on the Xbox or PS5. Starfield runs excellently on Xbox, while players on PC complain about minor issues.
Consoles have the advantage that games can be tailored exactly to the hardware of the console. Developers can set up the PS5 in their office and thoroughly test the game. Testing 20 different PC configurations is nearly impossible.
A PS5 or Xbox is cheaper than a gaming PC
The purchase price for gaming consoles like the PS5 or Xbox is generally lower than for a gaming PC. For an Xbox Series X or a PS5, you pay around 500 euros. For the versions without a drive, you pay a little less.
A high-performance gaming PC currently costs around 1,000 euros and sometimes even significantly more. At least if you want to play current AAA titles like Starfield or Cyberpunk 2077 with many details and in high resolution (WQHD, 4K). For many indie games, however, you don’t necessarily need high-end hardware.
At the same time, you have to keep in mind with PC gaming that you will eventually need to upgrade your hardware or at least should. A console can only be upgraded to a limited extent – at most with a larger SSD.
For many years, consoles have relied on exclusive games, so-called “system sellers”: manufacturers hope to convince people to buy a console with special games.
In 2023, the exclusive argument does not seem to be as strong as it was a few years ago. Because games like the “Horizon” series, which were long exclusive to PlayStation, or the “Halo” series on Xbox, are now also available on PC. Manufacturers like Sony are bringing more and more former exclusive games to PC.
Manufacturers like Sony or Microsoft develop their consoles for a runtime of several years. Often, they work closely with developers so that you can easily play current games on your console even in 4 or 5 years.
If you buy a console, you get a perfectly coordinated system. Normally, you start your console and can start playing immediately. You don’t have to worry about drivers, software, or other updates. Because the manufacturers have already taken care of that for you.
When you buy a PS5 or Xbox, you get a complete package right away. If you assemble a gaming PC, you can choose from a multitude of different components.
Moreover, both AMD and Intel offer a wide range of processors that you can integrate into your system.
In addition, many components come from different manufacturers. So you can buy RAM from Corsair and opt for an MSI motherboard. But you can just as well go for RAM from Crucial and use an ASUS motherboard.
In the best case scenario, everything runs seamlessly on your gaming PC, in the worst-case scenario, you have to check the individual components if something goes wrong.
The probably biggest advantage: Consoles are easy to use. You connect the device to the power supply, start the console, and in most cases, you can get started right away. With a gaming PC, you may need to make various settings or your game may crash first.
When will the end come for the PS4 and Xbox One? For the old generation, the PS4 and Xbox One may eventually face an end sooner or later. The current consoles are now well available and accessible everywhere. And Sony has already shown that fewer and fewer games will be released for the PS4:

As a little motivation, the actor received a whopping ten million dollars plus 15 percent of the box office gross.
Arnold Schwarzenegger took on the role and made decisions about the film’s cast and script. He placed himself in the lead role, even though he did not have the same physique as protagonist Douglas Quaid.

How do I use crossplay? To play together over crossplay, you need to use the EA Social menu in EA Sports FC 24. There you will find a list of your friends, whom you can then invite to your sessions.

Through player search, you can also search for players and add them as friends.
Can I deactivate crossplay? Yes, it is possible. If you do not want to face opponents from other platforms in Ultimate Team, you can deactivate this in the game settings.
This will also reflect in the leaderboards. If crossplay is active for you, you will see cross-platform leaderboards. If you deactivate it, you will only see the top players of your own platform.
The Swedish developers Paradox Interactive are considered geniuses when it comes to turn-based strategy games in historical settings. With “The Lamplighters League” (Steam, Xbox, Game Pass), they are now releasing a new game and wanted to promote it via purchased Twitch streams on September 28. It didn’t go so well, says MeinMMO author Schuhmann.
What kind of game is this?
The Lampglighters League is a turn-based strategy game where you control 3 or 4 heroes and face off against groups of “look like Nazis, but aren’t” henchmen. Gameplay-wise, it resembles a mix of Evil Genius (the strategy map) and X-Com (the fights).
A special feature is that before starting a battle, you have the option to eliminate some enemies. Depending on your character type, you can throw mines, sneak up on them and knock them out from behind, or charge at them.
The game has the look of “The Mummy Returns” films but is also often compared to Indiana Jones.
In early tests, the game received an 82% rating from GameStar , while PC Gamer was less impressed, finding it too grindy, too monotonous, and rated it 62%. On Metacritic, The Lamplighters League has a score of 75%.

Developers want to promote a game that is not meant for Twitch via Twitch
What is the problem with such a game? Such a game is usually not at all suitable for Twitch. There are at least three reasons:
For one, we Germans like the genre “turn-based strategy game” much more than the rest of the world. Even the release of the similarly positioned Jagged Alliance 3 hardly interested anyone outside Germany. Jagged Alliance 3 currently ranks 552 on Twitch.
Moreover, single-player games are generally difficult on Twitch, especially linear ones, as viewers spoil themselves by watching. Exceptions are horror games, where viewers are happy if the streamer gets scared, or very creative games like Baldur’s Gate 3.
The Lamplighters League has a relatively slow gameplay style, making it not very exciting to watch. The gameplay loop repeats quickly.
In normal circumstances, the game would not interest anyone on Twitch upon its release on October 3.
Paradox books sponsorships with major streamers
This was Paradox’s plan: Paradox Interactive has booked sponsorships with some major US streamers and scheduled them for September 28: The two largest streamers by far were LIRIK (3 million followers on Twitch) and CohhCarnage (1.5 million followers).
These are variety streamers known for having a passion for indie games. CohhCarnage was also the largest streamer for Jagged Alliance 3 and was at the forefront for Baldur’s Gate 3.
Did the plan work? No, unfortunately not. CohhCarnage messed up the embargo and showcased the game on September 27 for 2 hours. On September 28, he followed up with another 2 hours.
Although LIRIK stuck to the plan, he only showed the game for the apparently agreed 2 hours and not a minute more.
Switching from Counter-Strike 2 to The Lamplighters League costs every 2nd viewer
This was the streamers’ problem: Both streamers were live on Twitch with another game and had to interrupt their actual stream to switch to “The Lamplighters League” at the agreed time. This also caused many viewers to disappear:
Lirik had almost 20,000 viewers while he was active in Counter-Strike 2. The drastic change in theme from shooter to strategy game cost him about every 2nd viewer. By the end of the stream, he still had 9,400.
CohhCarnage fared slightly better: Instead of 12,000 viewers who watched him a few hours earlier in Cyberpunk 2077, there were only 7,000 for the strategy game. He was far away from his peak numbers of around 20,000 viewers for the week.
LIRIK didn’t seem too eager to show the game anyway: He ended the game in the middle of a mission when the two hours were up and wrapped it up rather listlessly, mentioning that the game is also available on GamePass.

What would have been better? The significantly better sponsorship partner for Paradox Interactive would probably have been the strategy-oriented German Twitch streamer Writing Bull, who was already looking forward to the game at Gamescom (via gamestar).
He showed nearly 4 hours of “The Lamplighters League” to about 450 viewers, but they stayed engaged. Writing Bull, who also extensively showcased Jagged Alliance 3, likely reached the right target audience for the stream.
Steinwallen, whom Paradox had actually booked as well, did not stream.
Sponsorship money for strategy game only buys a short hype, but it fades quickly
This was the problem: Paradox essentially only bought a “very short” viewership spike with the sponsorship money, precisely in the midst of the hype for Counter-Strike 2 and Cyberpunk.
Once this spike was over, no one showed The Lamplighters League on Twitch anymore: By the next day, only a single channel worldwide showed the game, the German Twitch streamer Moerp with 171 viewers.
A similar experience had to be faced by Amazon with the shooter “Crucible”: Upon release, they bought some of the best and most expensive streamers, but it didn’t help at all, and the game was soon out of the picture.
When is the game coming out? “The Lamplighters League” will be released on October 3 on Steam and will also be available on Game Pass. A demo is already available.

What are the PlayStyles of EA FC 24? The PlayStyles are a central new feature of FC 24. They give players unique attributes based on their real-life abilities. For example, there are PlayStyles that improve dribbling, provide stronger shots, enable great passes, and more.
The PlayStyles come in 2 variants, with the PlayStyles+ variant offering the biggest improvement.
Why PlayStyles are so exciting: The new PlayStyles make players who have otherwise been quite uninteresting in recent years finally really useful. Because even if a Julian Brandt, for example, does not have the best speed stats, his Tiki-Taka PlayStyle makes him really strong and playable.
This is especially true for difficult passes which become significantly more accurate with this PlayStyle. The finesse PlayStyle is also popular, as it feels almost like a cheat code. Players with this ability can effortlessly score from outside the box.
So, engage with PlayStyles and assess players not just based on their stats. A strong PlayStyle can make a difference on the pitch.
3. Learn the R1 dribbling. It’s OP and leaves everyone behind
Since we’re talking about PlayStyles, let’s introduce the technique PlayStyle, which significantly improves the new R1 dribbling. This PlayStyle suddenly makes players like Bernardo Silva popular because, despite low pace, he can slice through the opponent’s defense.
The new dribbling is called “Controlled Sprint”. It’s a form between normal running and full sprinting.

The big advantage here lies in the excellent combination of ball control and speed. It creates a new type of dribbling that can greatly help you navigate through the opponent’s defense. With quick, controlled movements, you can easily maneuver around opponents.
How to use the dribbling: You activate the “Controlled Sprint” by pressing the R1/RB button while steering your direction with the left stick. Then you just need some practice to get into the new movement pattern and effectively maneuver around opponents.
There are still a few details you can consider, and we will reveal them to you here:
Newly added in EA FC 24 is “Precision Shooting”, which you can enable or disable in the gameplay settings. Simply set the “Shot Assistance” to “Precision”.
Now you can determine much more accurately where your shot should land in the goal. This leads to significantly more control and accuracy in shots on goal – however, it takes some mastering. Because really easy precise shots are not simple at the beginning and it is quite possible to miss simple shots entirely.
But after enough training, the precise shots should work much better and give you a real advantage. It’s also helpful to activate the movement indicator in the settings so you can better see where you are actually aiming when shooting.
To properly learn all the previous tips, you can utilize the significantly upgraded training arena. This has become much more extensive compared to the FIFA installments of previous years, offering you the opportunity to train various scenarios.
You can set up as many teammates and opponents as you want on an empty field, establish the rules, and practice gameplay, passes, shots, free kicks, and even conduct real training matches.
So taking a look at the new training arena is definitely worth it.

You fulfill a mission for President Myers. She keeps her promise and V has the biochip and Johnny Silverhand removed. After two years in a coma, V returns to Night City, but as a “normal” human: V can no longer use cyberware. In addition, many old companions have gone their separate ways and some want nothing to do with V anymore.
How do you get the new ending? In the mission “Firestarter,” you need to decide whether to help Songbird or Solomon Reed. Your decision primarily affects which other quests you will face and what kind of enemies you have to defeat.
With Songbird, you shoot your way to a space shuttle in “The Killing Moon.” There, you send Songbird to the moon to solve her own chip problem.
However, if you call Reed instead and help him catch Songbird, you have to face off against MaxTac units in “Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos.” You ultimately capture Songbird.
Song So Mi aka Songbird has her own problems and like everyone in Night City, she has no scruples about using others for her goals.

That Baldur’s Gate 3 does not shy away from nudity, everyone probably knows by now. However, it was surprising for some players that suddenly naked men appeared in their camp and stared at them silently. They probably do have a use, but you shouldn’t see them.
What kind of men are these?
The naked men look like standard versions of humans without further details. Often they even look identical and do not even have genitals.
The bug quickly got the nickname: “Realm of Naked Men” and even prompted Larian to respond.
How did the naked men come about? Apparently it is a bug. You shouldn’t actually be able to see the men. Some players have found out that the guys are apparently always there, just usually off-screen. A few examples of the naked men can be seen here, but at your own risk:

If, for instance, players have a disconnect in multiplayer mode while resting and log back in, they will also see these naked men in the camp. Lined up and motionless.

The naked guys probably have a use
The exact nature of the men has not yet been fully clarified. However, there is probably a gameplay mechanic behind it. The characters probably serve as a sort of “mannequin” or placeholder.
In character creation, the game likely uses them to store outfits or presets that are then simply “set aside” while you continue to look around. In the camp, the men probably serve as placeholders for your dream watchers who visit you from time to time.

How do I activate the commands? To activate the console commands in CS2, you must go to the game settings. There, under the “Game” tab, you will find the option “Enable Developer Console”.

What does the trailer show? You shouldn’t expect gameplay in the current trailer. Instead, a minstrel delivers the backstory and gives you an idea of how it differs from the legend.
The trailer is set in the likely poor district of the city and shows a minstrel who tells you the story of Nottingham with his puppet theater. One day, King Richard returned from his campaigns with a powerful stone – the Lionheart – which granted him great power, made the rich richer, and was the foundation for more modern technology.
But as often happens with powerful things, there are usually villains who would like to have them for themselves. So the Sheriff of Nottingham took control of the stone and now rules as a tyrant over the people. Under his rule, especially the poor of the city suffer.
Ultimately, the minstrel urges his audience and you to confront the tyrannical ruler in battle. During his rousing speech, the sheriff’s soldiers appear and capture the minstrel.

The Front Early Access Trailer
What does the trailer show? The trailer announces the Early Access and already provides you with some gameplay.
You will see typical survival gameplay. Alone or together, you gather resources, spend the nights by campfires, and start with nothing but a few rags on your body. The building system is then shown, which at first glance looks relatively simple. For example, build walls by indicating where you want them to stand beforehand. A small facility where you can grow plants and vegetables is also shown.
Alongside, you will see various possible enemies. The video presents mutated zombies, armed soldiers, or even giant airships as your foes. You will confront them with your weapons, and there are plenty in The Front.
As the trailer shows, you can use a variety of weapons and secure your camp in the style of a good tower defense with loads of traps and weapons. As an example, the trailer showcases a massive fortress whose wall suddenly opens up, revealing countless turrets that you unleash fire upon the enemy.
The trailer also gives you a small insight into the open world that awaits you in The Front. All over, there are established camps that differ in form and equipment. You can see vast areas full of sand, forests, and decaying cities full of zombies.
The short scene in a presumed bar also suggests that you can interact with NPCs. Whether this is true will likely only be revealed with Early Access.

The Twitch streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel is on an incredible winning streak in Counter-Strike 2 (Steam). This raises suspicions among some players.
What is Counter-Strike 2 about? On September 17, 2023, Counter-Strike 2 finally released, the long-awaited successor to Valve’s tactical shooter. More than 1 million players crowded on Steam almost immediately, and for many streamers, it meant: “Into the cases.”
Because alongside realistic gunplay, Counter-Strike is primarily known for one thing: loot boxes that can contain incredibly valuable skins. The Basics for Your Mouse Sensitivity
Why should you find a perfect sensitivity? Sensitivity is probably the most important setting in shooters. Too high or too low sensitivity negatively affects your aim and thus your performance.
That’s also why you shouldn’t adopt a professional’s settings 1:1 – the setting of s1mple might be too slow or too fast for you.
As a general rule for your sensitivity: If you can make a 180° turn in the game with a “normal” motion of your arm, you are on the right track.
Note: Your in-game sensitivity can also be influenced by your mouse or mousepad. The different surface materials of a mousepad have an effect just like the “feet” (skates) of your mouse.
Find CS2 Sensitivity Without Websites and Programs
What reference values can you work with? First, you need to know what DPI you are playing with. Typically, players choose either 400 or 800. The higher your DPI, the more sensitive your mouse is, and thus your in-game sensitivity should be lower.
Any DPI above 800, for example, 1,600, is rather an exception and is mainly used by players who only use their wrist to aim, rather than their entire arm.
Self-determining sensitivity: If you want to find your CS2 sensitivity yourself, without the help of other games, programs, or websites, proceed as follows:
find a good player who uses the same DPI as you
400 DPI: Example: s1mple (CS2 Sensitivity 3.09)
800 DPI: Example shroud (CS2 Sensitivity 1.2)
adopt the settings of the player you chose
go into training, for example, a deathmatch against bots and test the sensitivity
based on your test results, increase or decrease your sensitivity until you feel comfortable.
for fine-tuning your sensitivity, you can try to quickly and precisely flick to small fixation points. Additionally, here’s a test:
find a point on a map that offers you at least 2 fixation points: one “at 12 o’clock” and one “at 3 o’clock” from your position.
now aim between the two points. This doesn’t have to involve fast aiming or flicking at first.
if you oversteer while aiming at one of the points, your sensitivity is too high and you should reduce it a bit. If you understeer while aiming at one of the points, your sensitivity is too low.
Important: Finding an ideal sensitivity is a lengthy process. You won’t find the perfect value just like that. It may be that you constantly tweak your sensitivity, increasing or decreasing values until you are fully satisfied.

Determine CS2 Sensitivity with Aim Trainers
What are aim trainers? Aim trainers are programs like Aimlabs or Kovaaks, in which you shoot at colorful balls or other objects that move around on your screen. The goal for you is primarily to improve your aim.
How do aim trainers determine your sensitivity? In the case of Aimlabs, you play a test with repetitive tasks for about 10 minutes, where you should use various sensitivities.
At the end of the test, the game will show you a calculated “sensitivity” in centimeters that should be ideal for you. The displayed number shows how many centimeters you should move your mouse to perform a 360° turn. In Aimlabs itself, you can then select different games in the sensitivity settings.
If you select Counter-Strike, Aimlabs will automatically convert the centimeter value into a CS sensitivity.
Why should you convert the sensitivity of another game? If you have been playing another shooter than Counter-Strike for years and have a sensitivity you have mastered, you can convert that sensitivity and then use it in CS2. There are various websites for converting your sensitivity, like mouse-sensitivity.com.

There are quite a few anime, and for me to start a new one, it has to catch my eye somehow.
A series called ‘My Happy Marriage’, or even worse in German ‘Meine ganz besondere Hochzeit’, would actually fall right through the cracks for me. I definitely like romantic series, but when the name is directly ‘Happy Marriage’, it’s hard for me to get excited – it just sounds a bit too cheesy for me to enjoy.
I became skeptical because on the release day of the last episode, the series suddenly appeared as ‘the most popular’ – so I had to give it a chance after all.
And what can I say: It was worth it, because ‘Meine ganz besondere Hochzeit’ is more than just a romance; it’s also a very classic, captivating drama with a somewhat outdated view of women, which fits wonderfully into the storyline.

What is it about? The series tells the story of Miyo, who is born into the prestigious Saimori family. However, her mother dies soon after, and her father remarries. Since Miyo, unlike her younger sister Kaya, has not developed a sense for the supernatural, she is demoted to a housemaid. She lives in poverty and has no joy – apart from conversations with Koji, the son of a family friend, for whom Miyo has feelings.
In the world of an alternative 19th-century Japan, where marriages are still decided by parents to enhance the family’s prestige and power, Miyo hopes for a marriage with Koji.
But things take a different turn: Koji becomes engaged to Kaya and Miyo is banished from the house. She is handed over as a marriage offer to Prince Kiyoka Kudo, in the hope of benefiting from his family. However, Kiyoka has a reputation for being cruel to women, and so far, every woman has fled from him.
What makes the anime so great? Even though it sounds a bit macabre, it is the voice of Miyo Saimori that you should definitely listen to in the original Japanese. How voice actress Reina Ueda manages to make the character sound so depressed and broken is simply fantastic. With every spoken syllable, you can feel the deep despair and psychological cruelty that Miyo has experienced almost her entire life. I have never heard a voice in an anime that fits so perfectly as Miyo’s.
Just listening to her already brings about a profound sadness that is more than beneficial for the storyline of the series.
If you’re up for a traditional, romantic drama with great characters, you should give the series on Netflix a chance – preferably with Japanese dubbing.
