Valve is currently developing a new multiplayer game called Deadlock, where you play the game mechanics of a MOBA from a third-person perspective.
Currently, there is an alpha test for Deadlock, which you can only participate in if you have an invitation. We will show you how to get an invitation and how to invite your friends afterwards.
Deadlock Invite: How to get an invitation
How do you get an invitation to Deadlock? You must be invited to the Deadlock alpha test either by Valve or by a Steam friend who already has access.

Get an invitation from the community: If you don’t have a Steam friend who has access to Deadlock and can invite you, you can also ask the community.
In the Deadlock subreddit, there is a thread where you can post your Steam friend code and request access. A community member will then add you as a Steam friend and invite you.
If you don’t want to post your friend code on Reddit, there are also players there who have shared their friend codes so that you can add them and they can then send you the invitation.

However, please note that it is forbidden in the subreddit to send or ask for invitations for payment. If someone demands money from you in exchange for the invitation, you can and should report these comments in the subreddit.
Deadlock: Inviting Friends – Here’s How
If you want to invite a friend or be invited by a friend, there is an option in the game for that. To invite, proceed as follows:
- Start Deadlock via Steam
- Click on “Invite Friends” in the bottom right corner of the main menu of Deadlock
- Select the friends you want to invite to the Deadlock alpha test
Here you can see the button for inviting friends in Deadlock. The button you need to press is highlighted in red:
