With a new hotfix for Diablo 4, Blizzard has fixed some issues from the current Season 14. According to players, it is now worthwhile to farm Mythics again. The strong items are now also easier to obtain.
This is what the hotfix includes: On July 21, 2026, Blizzard adjusted the drop rates for mythic items and hideout keys with a hotfix, after these were not correctly fixed in the previous patch. Specifically, the changes include:
- Repeatable hope gleams now guarantee a superior hideout key.
- Mythic gear tributes in the Undercity now have a greatly increased chance for Mythics on Qual 10 and guarantee Mythics on Qual 12.
In particular, the last point was already the case in Season 13 and received great praise, but was removed in Season 14 as it was said to be a bug.
After Blizzard previously removed the limit for created Mythics, it is now significantly easier to obtain or craft the desired items.
“This means lots of Mythics”
After Season 14 started with much criticism, especially regarding the new Mythic system, Blizzard seems to have fixed most issues with the current hotfix. The changes are well received in the community.
In a thread on Reddit, a user advises that all seasonal chests, the hope gleams, are now actually worthwhile and that one can easily farm Mythics with them. One user commented: “We have now gone from rare Mythics to Mythics appearing more frequently than blue items in just one week.”
Before the hotfix, it was hardly possible for casuals to obtain the best gear for their build at all. Many of the best builds in the Tier List for Season 14 require Mythics to reach their full potential.
What do you think of the changes, and how far are you in the endgame? Is Season 14 still missing something or is it “complete”?
In addition to the necessary improvements to the Mythic system, there is currently a problem with the unique ring “Wendigo Mal.” It apparently causes players to die instead of receiving a buff: Players in Diablo 4 are dying mysterious deaths, believing a ring is to blame – Blizzard is investigating
