How much playtime does GTA 6 have? According to Rockstar North Co-President Rob Nelson, an average playthrough is said to take around 80 hours (see DiscussingFilm). This includes the main story as well as some optional missions.
This means that a complete playthrough for all the seekers of the 100% mark will exceed well over 100 hours.
Especially when considering that the new map will be significantly larger than that of GTA 5, you can already get a sense of how much time you might spend in the latest installment, even though we still have no concrete figures.
When considering that Rob Nelson’s playthrough mostly involved the main story, the scale upgrade can be predicted even more accurately in comparison.

While it took around 32 hours on average for the main story in GTA 5, even if you generously subtract 10–20 hours for the optional side missions that Nelson also played, there are still about 30 hours more that you could need for the main story in GTA 6.
Of course, the speed of a playthrough always depends on one’s own pace and play style, but this comparison provides a good first impression of what we might be dealing with time-wise in GTA 6.
