You no longer have to unlock heroes through the Battle Pass! Starting with Season 10, all heroes will be automatically unlocked for your selection as soon as they are released. This also applies retroactively to all existing heroes.
There will be a new Mythical Shop where you can gradually unlock past and current mythical skins in Season 10 as you progress through the Premium Battle Pass. You will decide how to invest your progress into mythical skins.
Coins will be easier to obtain with Season 10, as you will also receive them when following the free and premium paths of the Battle Pass. The amount of coins will increase from 540 to 600.

Maintenance on March 19 – All times for the server down
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact downtime. The servers are planned to be unavailable for 4 hours and 45 minutes today.
This is what the maintenance schedule looks like:
At 1:00 PM, background maintenance will start on all platforms.
At around 1:15 PM, the servers will go offline. Players will be automatically kicked out of the game.
At 6:00 PM, the shooter should be back online, and you can log in again.
The maintenance will continue in the background until 8:00 PM.
This is to be considered during downtimes: As long as the background maintenance is ongoing, there may be connectivity issues in the game. Additionally, login queues may form because Bungie gradually opens access to the servers to avoid problems with excessive server load. Therefore, you may have to wait longer to get back into the game.
The following issues are known: Even in the Season of Wishes, there are many problems that players are complaining about. Bungie has noted some (via bungie.net), but it’s not known which of them will be fixed. However, the following bugs could be addressed:
Significant changes to the sandbox for PvP are planned to be rolled out
The fireteam finder lacks some options like adding Bungie friends
Some legendary emotes are sorted with exotic emotes
Veist rifles can only be partially rotated when inspected
The shotgun “Pursuit of the Mindbender” no longer glows when fired

In the US state of Utah, a nine-year-old boy was arrested in February 2024 for allegedly shooting his father. Meanwhile, details of the incident have come to light, suggesting that the boy may have gotten the idea for the incident from the video game Call of Duty: Warzone.
This was the original report: On February 20, Fox13Now reported from Tooele, Utah, that a 9-year-old had been arrested. The police had released only a few details due to the young age of the suspect.
The police were called to a house on Friday night, where they found a 32-year-old man who was unconscious and bleeding from a head wound. Officers reported that the wound appeared to be a gunshot injury.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died. It was only reported that he was related to the child.

What does this have to do with video games? According to Fox13, residents in the house told police that the boy spent a lot of time on his smartphone and tablet playing video games and watching videos, some of which were not age-appropriate.

One of the games the boy supposedly played was Call of Duty: Warzone, a game that uses the same weapons that were found in the house and used in the attack on the 32-year-old: a 9mm Glock and a Tomahawk.

What happened to the computer? A player was unable to turn on his gaming PC. Apart from a single glowing LED on the graphics card, the device showed no signs of life. Previously, he had experienced a power outage for a few seconds.
According to him, the gaming PC was plugged into a surge-protected outlet at that time. Since a problem with the power supply seemed likely, he replaced the outlet. However, the system still would not turn on.

How did he proceed with troubleshooting? The owner of the gaming PC tried several things to breathe new life into his gaming PC. First, he checked the connections of the computer but found no errors there.

The most important items, best stats, and loot filters
The big advantage of the build is that you do not necessarily need a unique or legendary item. This makes it significantly easier for you to find the right items. However, a unique amulet can help you a lot: Devotion.
Devotion increases your damage with Smite when you have low mana and has other stats that fit perfectly with the build. Otherwise, you should pay attention to the following affixes:
Idols are a bit harder to come by for the Smite Paladin than the items, as you need the right large idols (2×2 slots) here. You want 4 large and 4 small idols with:
increased chance to trigger Smite on throw attacks
increased chance to trigger armor break on throw attacks
block effectiveness

Even though you skill Smite, you never actively use the ability. Similar to the unarmed Falkner build, your main ability is triggered by another skill: Hammer Throw, which represents your primary attack skill.
With the skill, you let hammers circle around you, which then “smite” enemies and trigger additional lightning that leaps to other enemies. The closer you stand to enemies, the more damage you deal.
If you play the hardcore build without hammers, instead use Warpath to trigger your other spells. The advantage is that you always apply Smite to nearby targets, and possible healing does not go to waste.
You should always have 4 stacks of Seal of Hope on you to increase your damage and regenerations. Additionally, the seal helps you keep your mana low if you are playing with Devotion.
Depending on your preference, you can take Shatter or Shield Charge as skills to move faster. Whenever you have too few enemies near you or need to quickly reach a target, use these skills.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has launched on Steam. But how well does the game run on the Steam Deck? MeinMMO editor Benedikt Schlotmann has tried the game and explains how well it works.
By now you can play Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Steam Deck. The system requirements for Baldur’s Gate 3 are moderate, and the game runs on older systems as well. But what about the Steam Deck?
For a test, I installed Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Steam Deck (256 GB). My first impressions are positive, but it’s not perfect.

Partially very dark and high temperatures
Does Baldur’s Gate 3 run without issues? Baldur’s Gate 3 is now officially “verified” for the Steam Deck and therefore works without any major difficulties. With the first build, I still had significant problems, but after switching to the “experimental Proton build” from the developer mode, the game ran smoothly and started flawlessly.
By now, Baldur’s Gate 3 runs very stable and without serious crashes on the Steam Deck. You shouldn’t have to make any custom settings. I still claim that the game runs a bit cleaner with the experimental build.
Change Proton version: Properties > Compatibility > Force the use of a specific compatibility tool for Steam Play and then choose the correct version.
How is the performance? Basically, the game runs at stable 30 FPS on my Steam Deck. The problem, however, is the consistently high temperatures. Officially, AMD’s APU in the Steam Deck is also designed for temperatures over 90 degrees.
The processor and graphics chip consistently range between 80 and 90 degrees, and the fan in the Steam Deck is working quite hard. The load on the GPU and CPU is around 70 to 80%.
Accordingly, the battery life is also quite short. I can’t get more than 90 minutes of playtime, even though I’m playing with low settings, FSR, and frame lock (30 FPS).
Baldur’s Gate 3 now also supports the newer version FSR 2.2. Unfortunately, the latest version FSR 3.0 is not supported yet, but FSR 2.2 is still a significant improvement over FSR 1.0. The image quality increases a bit, and especially faces no longer look so blurry.
Another option is to limit the TDP of the chip to 15 watts. This can be done through the settings in the Steam Deck. While this reduces the thermal load, the game does not run as stable for me afterwards.
Good port with pleasantly readable menus and controller support
How does Baldur’s Gate 3 play on the Steam Deck? Otherwise, Baldur’s Gate plays quite well on the Steam Deck. The game natively supports controller support, and the game immediately recognizes the inputs from the Steam Deck right at the start of the game. Therefore, I don’t need a community layout to play, and the controller glyphs are displayed correctly.
The menus in the game are well-readable, and the interface is pleasantly visible despite the small display. Other games, such as XCOM 2, are significantly harder to read because the text is really small in the alien strategy game.
Especially the initial areas in Baldur’s Gate 3 appear very dark on the Steam Deck; I had to either increase the brightness or find a dark corner to play in.
Overall, it’s worth setting the gamma settings, which are shown upon the first start, a bit higher than usual.
Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Steam Deck: Good port, but short battery life
Is the Steam Deck worth it for Baldur’s Gate 3? Considering the high temperatures and the relatively short battery life, Baldur’s Gate 3 is not a game I would play continuously on the Steam Deck. I’d rather stick to relatively undemanding indie titles or older AAA games.
In my opinion, Baldur’s Gate 3 is definitely not a perfect game for the Steam Deck. Other games, like Persona 3: Reload, Age of Wonders: 4, or Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous benefit much more from the Steam Deck and do not stress the battery as much.
Therefore, I would only give Baldur’s Gate 3 a limited recommendation: Yes, the game runs stably and smoothly on the Steam Deck, and the controls work perfectly. On the other hand, the battery is empty in no time without a power socket nearby, and the temperature development is also no fun. And always carrying a power bank with me is also not a real alternative.
Especially if you have a powerful gaming PC at home, the Steam Deck is not a permanent option for Baldur’s Gate.

On March 20, 2024, Patch 10.2.6 will be released on the European servers of World of Warcraft. Among its features: the battle royale mode Plunderstorm! We had the opportunity to chat with two Blizzard developers about the feature in advance and here we summarize all the important insights.
What is Plunderstorm? The new game mode for World of Warcraft is a PvP experience in Arathi Highlands, where all players fight against each other to determine the last and thus victorious survivor.
The principle, known from Fortnite and other battle royale games, works in WoW as follows:
You do not jump into the fight with your high-level, well-equipped WoW heroes, but with characters that only have basic clothes and abilities.
Defeat creatures and players to level up during a match and gain access to new skills.

WoW: Plunderstorm – this is how the battle royale mode works
If you collect a spell you already know, it will be upgraded.
All characters have access to a healing ability and a double jump. There is no fall damage.
In Plunderstorm, there is no equipment, no inventory, and no spell book to deal with. Only the unlocks on your action bar affect the player experience. The bar consists of seven slots for spells and skills.
The maximum level for characters is Level 10.
Each match is expected to last about ten to 15 minutes.
No WoW addons are allowed in Plunderstorm.

How or where do I sign up for Plunderstorm? Download the Dragonflight client (regardless of whether you own the current expansion or not) and log in with your WoW account – you need an active subscription.
Once you are logged in, you will find two options in the character selection window: Dragonflight and Plunderstorm. If you click on the latter symbol, you will enter the corresponding character window, where you can customize your alter ego and join a match.
Similar to other battle royale titles, you can start a solo or duo match. If you register solo, you will only encounter other solo registrants. Through Duo, you will face other teams of two. You can team up with a friend before registering or try your luck with a randomly assigned partner.
In Plunderstorm, you can earn transmog templates, mounts, and pets.
What rewards can I earn through Plunderstorm? By completing quests and collecting loot, you will earn glory for your account. Every advancement in the glory rank system is rewarded by the developers with loot.
Highlights include a parrot mount (for Modern-WoW and Classic) and the pet “Pepe the Pirate” (only for Modern-WoW). There are also various transmog skins in pirate design (only for Modern-WoW). You can claim the items from Da’kash in the waiting area of Plunderstorm.
Winning a match earns you a special tabard and an exclusive eyepatch (only Modern-WoW).
Through your played Plunderstorm matches, you earn glory for your account-wide progression.
An experiment like the Season of Discoveries
What else did the developers reveal? In the conversation, lead software engineer Orlando Salvatore and lead producer Ray Bartos repeatedly emphasized how extensively the mode was tested internally – the entire WoW team, as well as many other Blizzard employees, were involved. The reason for this is clear: there was no PTR for Patch 10.2.6.
Similar to the Season of Discoveries, Plunderstorm is also an experiment intended to surprise WoW fans. At the same time, such a mode has never existed in WoW before. Therefore, it is all the more important that all game and interface elements are easy to understand.
Collect the loot to level up during a Plunderstorm match.
Although Plunderstorm is said to be available for only a certain period of time (the developers did not specify an exact timeframe), a team will be ready from the release date to promptly address player problem reports and provide bug fixes.
In designing Plunderstorm, the team did not only look at battle royale games but also drew inspiration from other genres. The monster camps that heroes could level up in may remind you of Warcraft 3. There are also influences from the fighting and MOBA genres.
What will happen to Plunderstorm in the long term and whether there will be further experiments of this nature depends solely on player feedback, according to the devs. However, the team has already learned a lesson from the lead-up to WoW Patch 10.2.6.
According to the two developers, too much hype was built up too early (e.g., due to the pirate flag in the roadmap and various tweets), only to then maintain silence for weeks to avoid hinting too much about Plunderstorm. They can understand the players’ criticism of the Dragonflight team’s communication.

In Pokémon GO there are many medals that you can collect. Some of them can even be done without extra effort on the side.
What are medals? Medals are achievements in Pokémon GO that you receive for reaching certain milestones. There are 4 different levels for each medal: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
What do I need medals for? Primarily, medals are for yourself and for comparing your successes with your friends. On the way to level 50, you will also need to collect a certain number of Gold and Platinum medals from time to time to level up.
