What is this article about? We at MeinMMO have looked at the MMORPGs on Steam and checked which ones have the best ratings. It was important to us that
We ended up with ten games, among which there are some surprises. For the indicated player numbers, we relied on data from the website steamcharts.com.
The article was originally created by Alexander Leitsch, who has played many of these titles himself and has dealt extensively with them. Since March 2024, MMORPG expert Karsten Scholz has taken over the updating of the list.

Setting: Superheroes | Developer: Daybreak Games | Platform: PC, PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch | Release Date: January 11, 2011 | Model: Free2Play | Rating on Steam: 80% Positive
What kind of game is this? In DC Universe Online you take on the role of a superhero or villain. In the game, you follow a story that leads you to Gotham City and brings characters like Batman, Superman, the Joker, or Harley Quinn into view.
For PvP fans, there is arena PvP or optional PvP in the open world. There, heroes can fight against villains. In addition, there is a special mode where you can take on the role of iconic heroes and use their abilities.
There are numerous quests that you can complete. Expect action-packed battles with powerful abilities. In the endgame, there are dungeons, raids, missions for solo players, or small groups. Recently, the faction boundaries were just removed, but villains and heroes are still not allowed to queue together.
DC Universe Online continues to be regularly expanded with new, often free content. Recently, for example, the faction boundaries were loosened and a graphics update and a fresh matchmaking system were implemented.
What do the Steam reviews say? Since the Steam launch on November 2, 2011, there have been 21,645 reviews, with 80 percent being positive. However, the 80 reviews from the past 30 days were only 73 percent positive.
How many players does it have on Steam? Currently, an average of 525 players are playing the MMORPG classic on Steam. The all-time high is 3,112 concurrent players. The peak from the past 30 days is around 932 concurrent players.
For whom is the MMORPG worthwhile? For fans of the superhero universe, DC Universe can be one of the most interesting MMORPGs. After all, players can meet their heroes, who are also fully equipped with voice acting.
The game offers an interesting mix of PvE and PvP content, so basically every type of player should find something to enjoy. However, the graphics and the combat system sometimes seem outdated. Those looking for good alternatives for consoles will find them in this list of the 5 best MMORPGs on PS4, PS5, and Xbox.

The world is supposed to be one of the greatest highlights of Crimson Desert. But how large is the continent Pywel? The community is speculating and discussing. MeinMMO summarizes what is actually known so far.
How large is Crimson Desert? The exact size of the game world and the content scope of Crimson Desert are not yet known in detail. What we do know:
Although (or because) there are hardly any concrete, officially confirmed figures from the responsible parties regarding the size of Crimson Desert, there is much speculation in the community. DarthKane17 claims on Reddit that the continent Pywel would be 80 km² and that it would take 6 hours on foot to walk from one end of the world to the other.
The more than 1,400 thumbs up indicate that the hype train for Crimson Desert has already left the station. However, many of the more than 550 comments acknowledge that this information should be taken with caution, as there is no official source.
In another post on Reddit, players speculate whether Crimson Desert could even surpass the game world of Black Desert. However, many consider this unlikely, as it has simply become overwhelmingly large due to frequent updates. Some even hope in the comments that Crimson Desert is not too large.
But no matter how large Pywel ultimately turns out to be, you won’t just travel the game world on foot or on horseback. There are also flying mounts and a fast travel system – although you must discover and activate the fast travel points through exploration.
With the MMORPG Black Desert, the developers at Pearl Abyss have already proven that they can create incredibly vast, diverse, and detailed worlds. However, size alone does not make a good game.
Therefore, Will Powers emphasizes in interviews that it is much more important what there is to do in the world and whether it is fun. What the open-world adventure is supposed to offer and why much of it reminds of Black Desert, you can find out here: Crimson Desert is a solo experience with MMO scope, could be as successful as the major RPG surprise of 2025

Marathon can be played on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. But does the shooter have crossplay or cross-save?
What is crossplay? Crossplay allows players to play together on different platforms. For instance, PS5 players can play alongside Xbox and/or PC players or encounter them during a match.
What is cross-save? Cross-save allows you to carry your progress across multiple platforms. This means you can use and continue your progress made on PS5 on Steam on PC, without having to start over when switching platforms.
Does Marathon have crossplay? Yes, Marathon has crossplay, which is enabled by default in the game. Crossplay was already available during the server slams.
Can crossplay be disabled? Yes, crossplay can be disabled in Marathon, but not on all platforms.
Bungie warns against disabling crossplay, as it may restrict matchmaking and thus affect the player experience.
Does Marathon have cross-save? Yes, Marathon will support cross-save upon release on March 5, 2026.
How can you use cross-save? To utilize cross-save and share your progress across multiple platforms, you need to link the accounts of the various platforms on Bungie’s official website. You will decide which save data from the linked accounts you want to continue. The other, unused save data will be replaced. This decision cannot be undone.
To connect your accounts, follow these steps:
In the Account Linking section, you can also connect your Bungie account to your Twitch channel. This allows you to earn Twitch drops for Marathon or Destiny by watching streams of the respective game on Twitch. You can find more about this here: Marathon: These are the Twitch drops and how to get them.

In Pokémon GO starts “Memories in Motion”, the new season. We summarize how you can use it for yourself.
When does the season start? “Memories in Motion” starts on March 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM. It ends on June 2, 2026, also at 10:00 AM.
The season brings a lot of changes, but also many bonuses. Notably, there will be no more usual spotlight hours. However, there will be new content daily.
How do you make use of the new features? We summarize what you should expect.
You will receive more XP and Stardust when you complete a catching streak of seven days. You should definitely keep this in mind when making your first catch of the day on the seventh day. If you catch a Pokémon with an excellent throw, perhaps even a new Pokémon, then you have the potential to earn a lot of XP with a single catch. Such examples have occurred before.
Additionally, you will earn extra XP if you spin a PokéStop on the seventh day in a row. Don’t miss this opportunity either.
With the start of the new season, there are changes to the Pokémon GO calendar. They are as follows:
The weekend events in Pokémon GO are now primarily set to take place on Saturdays. This will particularly affect community days, raid days, and other events.
The new season brings a change: From now on, all evolved Pokémon that have ever been shiny in the game can also appear in the wild as shiny. Previously, in most cases, only stage-1 Pokémon could be caught as shiny. Additionally, in Rocket battles, all Pokémon that have ever been shiny in the game can now appear as shiny.
You will have an increased shiny chance from Pokémon that you catch in battles against Giovanni, Arlo, Sierra, or Cliff. Moreover, there is an increased shiny chance from raid battles and when hatching eggs.
In the new season, you will receive an additional candy as well as an additional XL candy when you trade with your friends. However, this only applies to local trades, not the relatively new remote trades.
If you are on the hunt for candies for rare Pokémon, you can trade the same Pokémon with friends – this way, both of you will receive more candies for that Pokémon.
Additionally, you should keep in mind that you will receive a season special research that grants you a Volcanion – but only if you haven’t caught it at a past GO Fest. If that is the case, the special research will instead grant you candies for Volcanion. Read more about Volcanion in Pokémon GO here.

MMORPGs thrive on having enough active players. Without them, there’s nothing happening in the world, and there’s a lack of players for competitive or cooperative group content. MeinMMO therefore lists the 10 online role-playing games with the currently most players on Steam.
Anyone wanting to be an MMORPG, that is, a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, needs a sufficiently large, healthy population on the servers. Because without this foundation of active players, there’s nothing going on in the often huge worlds. Companion or opponent? Not a chance! The genre thrives on the daily hustle and bustle of the virtual world. MeinMMO has listed the MMORPGs on Steam with the most players in May 2025 below.
How was the list created? For the Top 10, the MMORPGs were considered that had the most active players on Steam in the last 30 days. The number is calculated based on how many players were logged in simultaneously on average.
As a source, Steam Charts was used, which provides data for the last 30 days. It is not known how many bots are among the active players. Since we do not know the percentage distribution exactly, we treated all active players as if they were real players.
This list does not consider players who log in outside the Steam client. The player numbers are likely to be even higher for MMORPGs that have been released on multiple platforms and/or have their own launcher. However, since developers rarely publish exact player numbers, we limit ourselves solely to Steam as a platform.

Setting: SciFi | Developer: Broadsword | Platform: PC | Release Date: December 2011 | Model: Free2Play | Steam Rating: 89 % Positive | Active Players: 4,059
How many players does it have on Steam? In the past 30 days, an average of 4,059 players were online. The peak during this time was 7,223 concurrent players. The all-time high stands at 27,416 concurrent players. Since SWTOR also has its own launcher, this is likely just the tip of the iceberg.
What kind of game is this? SWTOR is a heavily story-focused MMORPG set in the well-known and beloved Star Wars universe. It places a strong emphasis on the narrative and requires moral choices, attracting players optionally to the light or dark side of the Force. The dialogues are fully voiced.
While the game relies on classic tab-targeting, it attempts to implement this in a more modern and dynamic way. In addition to the story, the MMORPG also features a good companion system, exciting raids in the endgame, and PvP content.
By the way: In Star Wars: The Old Republic on December 10, 2024, one of the biggest updates in recent years was released. The game now has improved graphics and the names of inactive characters were removed. Last year, the MMORPG’s Free2Play offering was expanded.
Who is this interesting for? SWTOR appeals to Star Wars fans and generally to theme park and story gamers. The focus is on the story, which you can dive into deeply without paying. This makes SWTOR a good single-player MMO. Further reading: 3 MMORPGs you surely overlooked in 2024, but now is a great time to get started. SWTOR is included.
What do you think of the ranking? Which position surprised you? Are you actively playing any of the titles? Let us know in the comments! If you’re not tied to Steam games and are looking for exciting MMORPGs or MMOs, you can find the 10 best MMOs and MMORPGs we can recommend in 2026 in this list.

MeinMMO demon Cortyn has thrown himself into World of Warcraft Midnight and completed all quests. The conclusion is positive – even with a few minor errors.
It still feels a bit surreal to me that we are already playing another expansion of World of Warcraft – at least for those who have purchased the Epic Edition of Midnight. I have therefore temporarily severed all social connections in real life for the last 3 days and dove into the new expansion with way too many hours of gameplay.
My simple and honest conclusion: World of Warcraft Midnight is almost everything I ever wanted from WoW – even if there are minor quirks.
Who is writing here?
Cortyn has been playing World of Warcraft for over 20 years and has been writing about it for MeinMMO for over 13 years. This demon has experienced all expansions of Blizzard’s MMORPG. Cortyn mainly frequents roleplay, dungeons, or heroic raids – or fishes for way too long to earn a golden horn.
Just don’t ask about total playtime. No one wants to know that.

But to briefly summarize what I have done in the past days (Spoiler: I had very, very little sleep):
The primary plot of Midnight revolves around Xal’atath and her attack on the Sunwell – at least initially. After this can be temporarily repelled through great efforts by light workers, it shifts towards local stories:
Meanwhile, tensions simmer in Silvermoon. The paladins under Turalyon’s leadership behave more like an occupying force and demand more and more resources from Silvermoon, arrest innocent citizens, and show little understanding for the people to whom the city actually belongs. Here, the seeds for a story are laid, which will surely continue to develop over the coming weeks and months.
I enjoyed the stories very much. The main campaign of the individual areas is quite focused, has many cutscenes, and a lot of voiced dialogues. Everything gets enough time to resonate but never takes too long.

I particularly love the sheer number of “stay a while and listen” moments that exist. Every few quests, there is the opportunity to talk to important NPCs again and trigger some voiced dialogues to learn more about the personal views of the characters or conflicts.
This is optional, and if one does not care, they can simply skip it – but for those interested in the lore and the main characters, there is a lot of additional material offered here.
The side stories of World of Warcraft are usually a bit less heroic. The developers often call them “Local Stories” – telling about the everyday lives of the people living in the respective areas. You learn more about their culture, their problems, and individual fates.
These quests are extremely diverse. From small, rather silly stories to dark incidents, there is a lot to explore. Everything feels coherent and rounded. A few examples:
In Zul’Aman, we meet the great Loa again. Demigods that the trolls confide in and rely on their strength. Among them is a rather cute capybara Loa named Fi’lo. This Loa does not speak, but enjoys playing with children and protects them. He also guards the souls of deceased children and watches over them until their parents die as well, so they can move on together. All other Loa fear Fi’lo and keep their distance, as his wrath is feared.

In Silvermoon, we are approached by a beggar who is looking for capable champions for a magistrate. This magistrate then explains to us that a rival magistrix is spreading lies about him because he has gotten a position that she actually wanted – so we are to destroy the supposedly fake evidence.
Piece by piece, we discover that the magistrate regularly abducts homeless people from the streets and annihilates their souls with magic to indulge in demon magic. A crime he has been able to pursue without consequence until now because hardly anyone in Silvermoon cares about the homeless and beggars.
In the Immersang Forest, we meet a mysterious huntress who shamelessly exploits our existence as “an adventurer who does whatever he is told.” We gather items for her, only to slowly discover that she is a necromancer whom we should actually slay.
When we confront her, she reveals that after the fall of the Sunwell, she actually studied necromancy, but for a good reason: A friend, a former hero of Quel’thalas, who was killed by the Scourge, now exists only as a perpetually suffering banshee. Through necromantic rituals, she tries to temporarily alleviate her suffering and restore sensory perceptions such as feeling the wind or tasting wine.

In the Voidstorm, we find a captured draenei with a special accent – one that we have never heard as draenei. They are Eredar, who were left behind during their escape from planet to planet and have since wandered through the cosmos and built their own civilizations – detached from Argus, Velen, or other draenei. Since my priestess is herself a draenei, I get special quest texts and many dialogue options that others wouldn’t see. It is a rather emotional quest line, at the end of which stands another great sacrifice.
These are just 4 of the 65 side quest lines, each consisting of several steps. Some are quite short, others a bit longer. But they all feel coherent and valuable. You learn more about the world and culture, and with each single quest, I thought to myself: That is interesting to know. That made the world richer.

Especially visually, Midnight has a lot to offer. The first time you see the huge, holy beam of light shooting from the Sunwell into the Voidstorm, it is quite impressive.
Equally fantastic is the first entry to the city of Silvermoon and the Immersang Forest. Especially as a blood elf fan, it is a revelation. The city is beautifully designed, so large and complex, with such a love for details that you can hardly get enough of it.
I literally spent hours getting lost in the grand streets, stumbling through underground passages, watching students study, or visiting a pet café to admire all the details.
Silvermoon created the same feeling Suramar did during Legion. It feels like a magnificent elven metropolis.

It should not be forgotten that housing is also part of Midnight – even if we have already been able to play it for a few weeks. I have praised this extensively in the past, so I’ll spare you here – but it is a significant plus point of the expansion.
Everything fits wonderfully together and is bound to please nostalgia fans. The Immersang Forest picks up so many stories from the past and continues them that you basically discover an interesting detail with almost every second quest that you might not have thought about for 20 years – when you sent your first blood elf on her travels.
Finally, there are many meaningful improvements to the interface. WoW now inherently includes various add-ons, such as a damage meter or boss mods. Therefore, I have said goodbye to all external add-ons of this type to get used to the new standard. This takes some time but turned out to be intuitive and fitting. Quickly, you forget add-ons like Deadly Boss Mods – they are simply no longer necessary.
Yes, I am aware: This is not a comprehensive, all-inclusive review. On the one hand, I have only played one class thoroughly so far, and on the other hand, many contents are not yet accessible. The dungeons have only been available on normal and heroic, the depths still had a rather low cap, and the raids will not open for a few weeks.
The loot system unlocks after completing the campaign, but so far it has only been available on normal difficulty. It has been “quite nice” – but that’s it. Since “Normal” is basically the tutorial difficulty, I want to hold off on making a judgment until I have seen more of it.

I can only judge what has been visible so far – but that has pleased me quite a lot.
Of course, not everything is perfect – that is simply not possible at the launch of an MMORPG or an expansion; at least I have never experienced that. There have been minor issues and bugs. Most of them will surely be resolved by the first patch at the latest. However, a few are attributable to the fundamental design, which could be problematic in the long run.
A friend of mine encountered some English screen texts in the German version – the specializations for some professions were still in English. This should not occur in the release version.
Another point that gnaws at me, and for which I almost regret having to write: the music. Midnight is the first expansion where the music – with few exceptions like Silvermoon – seems rather characterless. Especially with the Haranar music, I find it interesting that they tried something new, but I quickly get the impression: This somehow does not feel Warcraft. Much sounds similar, but at no location did I have the feeling that the music would stick in my memory for long – quite unlike previous expansions.
Maybe I need more time to get used to it, but the music felt, for the first time in the history of the game, quite arbitrary and interchangeable to me. But that might just be my personal preference, especially after being spoiled by the fantastic Dimensius soundtrack recently.
For me, the biggest gameplay issue might be the apex talents, at least with my class, the shadow priest. Because the apex talents “force” me into a certain talent selection and drastically limit my options. Since the apex talents enhance the “shadowy apparitions” for shadow priests, I basically have no choice but to choose all talents in the main area of the talent tree that enhance this ability.
The apex talents are very strong – but they do take away my freedom to experiment and reduce my choices. I would like to see a revision of this in the middle of the expansion.
But as mentioned, these negative aspects are really just minor details. Things that bother me – some more, some less. However, they do not tarnish the overall impression:
It probably shows in the text and in the fact that I have played approximately 50 hours of WoW in 3 days: I am quite satisfied.
World of Warcraft Midnight was created with unbelievably great attention to detail. The game world, the stories in the quests, the entire presentation – it is a feast for all who fell in love with the world at the latest with “The Burning Crusade” and can relate to the modern playstyle of WoW.
At least what has been available so far makes me eager for more and shows that Blizzard still has it. The early access went quite smoothly and the content available so far is of a high standard. Let’s just hope that the patches can maintain this level, as that has always been a small issue in the last expansion.
I know that World of Warcraft Midnight will rob me of a lot of time again in 2026 – but I am looking forward to it.
What were your experiences with Midnight in early access? Have you completed the campaign and leveled your professions? Are you taking it easy and spending a lot of time on some things? Or are you waiting for the regular launch and will really get started only from tonight? If you’re not ready for the launch yet, here are 3 things you should know beforehand.

Do you have old hardware lying around in a closet or a box? These things could be worth significantly more right now. Because prices for almost all components are reaching record highs, and even reselling can be worth it in some cases.
Those who upgrade their computers often stash the old parts in a box to possibly use them again as spare parts or for a second PC. An HDD is quickly replaced by a better SSD, and the HDD initially ends up in the closet, only being used as data storage at most.
All these components have been gaining value sharply for weeks. Many people may not even be aware of how much valuable hardware they have lying around at home that they might have forgotten about somewhere in a closet.
Why are the items worth more now? The AI hype is currently causing many manufacturers to shift their production to data centers. Additionally, data centers are buying hardware in large quantities, some manufacturers have already stated that they will be completely sold out by 2026.
Where is reselling worth it? Hard drives, RAM, and SSDs have all seen significant price increases. In some cases, the hardware today costs double or triple.
Just to demonstrate this with two examples:
If you still have old hardware at home that you definitely do not need, then reselling may be worth it. Such extreme price increases were last observed during the COVID pandemic, where scalpers resold Nvidia graphics cards for millions of dollars on eBay.
Some users are even buying 18-year-old hardware, including DDR3 RAM, to avoid the AI hype: Even here, prices are now rising significantly in some countries.
What should you keep?
Therefore, do not randomly get rid of your hardware just because you can make a lot of money with it right now. Because in the end, you will still need the parts.
Cheap Chinese RAM was long regarded as a tip. Meanwhile, the chance for cheap RAM from China is over. Because even Chinese companies are increasingly focusing on memory for data centers. You can read more about it on MeinMMO: Chinese RAM was seen as hope by many gamers, but the chance is already gone after just a few weeks

In ARC Raiders there is a world situation where a hurricane creates chaos on the maps. Nevertheless, it is worth stopping by at that time, as you can open special caches there that hold a lot of loot, including blueprints. We will now show you where to find them.
What are hurricane caches? Since the release of the new “Shrouded Sky” update, there is a new map situation called “Hurricane” on various maps of the Rust Belt. Here, a raging wind can damage your shield, but those who dare to venture in can benefit from special caches.
These boxes, resembling Raider caches, drop strong loot, including blueprints. Many raiders thus risk a trip into the storm to complete their collection.
Everything important about the hurricane caches: The good thing about the hurricane caches is their locations, as these are always the same. They have fixed spawn points on each of the maps, but their chance of actually spawning there is random. You can thus follow fixed routes to check the boxes.
Since the hurricane restricts your visibility, there is also a sound that you hear when you are near. It resembles a mechanical beep. The closer you approach the box, the louder the sound becomes. Once you have opened the box, you can expect various items such as weapons, ammunition, consumables, and a high chance of getting a blueprint.
Now let’s get to the possible locations on the maps:

Why is Stella Montis not listed? Because Stella Montis is an underground map and the hurricane cannot rage on the map like that. For this reason, there are no hurricane caches that can be uncovered by the fierce storm. Stella Montis thus ends up empty.
Have you been able to get many blueprints through the new event, or did you not know where to look for the boxes? More about the blueprints and how you can farm them even without an event can be found here: ARC Raiders: Locations of blueprints – This is how you find plans for the Anvil, Wolfpack, and more

New month, new goodies in the trading post of World of Warcraft. A new ensemble from March 2026 is currently very popular in the community.
Which ensemble is it? Currently, many WoW fans are heading to Silvermoon. The capital city of the blood elves introduced with Burning Crusade is making a visually impressive comeback at the launch of Midnight, which is nicely complemented by the new March offers in the trading post – such as a flying Silvermoon blanket.
Among the new features is the ensemble “Elaborate ruby red mageweave”, which is described as follows: “Whitemane has started a fashion trend among the members of the Scarlet Crusade”. You can expect a multi-part set in black, red, and gold, which leaves little to the imagination in a pants variant.
Who is Whitemane? High Inquisitor Whitemane is one of the dungeon bosses of the Scarlet Monastery, which you can challenge in WoW Classic as well as TBC Classic in the cathedral area.
How does the community react to the ensemble? Many players are excited that they can now recreate Whitemane’s outfit with a transmog set, and that also optionally for male characters. Lunaire has put this into action and posted some pictures on X.
Others are excited about the increased attractiveness level that the outfit obviously brings, or about upcoming role-playing events.
What else is new in the trading post? In the trading post, you will also find a lavender blue version of the ensemble. In addition, you can expect a selection of rustic, rather unadorned weapon skins, a wizard’s ensemble, and funny fish stick swords.
Among the returned offers, you can treat yourself to 2 butterfly mounts, a monarch butterfly ornament, butterfly wings for your back, as well as several flowery weapon skins. The trading post has also opened a branch in the new capital Silvermoon. You can find out more about the new expansion here: Release time and early access – Everything about the new WoW expansion Midnight

Fans of gripping thriller series can find a highlight of the genre on two streaming services. One season was even filmed in Germany, which was a premiere.
Which series is it about? We are talking about Homeland, a production by the US broadcaster Fox 21, which aired from 2011 to 2020.
In total, there are 98 episodes in eight seasons, with each episode lasting between 48 and 66 minutes. Homeland is not original material but an adaptation of the Israeli series Hatufim, which aired shortly before in 2010.
Thematically, the two productions are similar: It is about the world of agents and combating terrorism. In the case of the US version Homeland, a CIA agent with a mental illness is at the center.
What is Homeland about? The first season begins with agent Carrie Mathison, who is still working for the CIA. When a US soldier is freed from captivity and brought home, doubts remain about whether he is still loyal to his country.
Carrie has to deal with the question of whether the returnee might be a “sleeper,” i.e., an undercover spy for the opposing terrorists.
Based on this, Homeland tells about the challenges of intelligence agencies and very personal problems. Carrie is affected by bipolar disorder and must also take care of her own well-being amid intrigues, betrayals, and tough moral decisions.
For viewers here particularly exciting is season 5. Carrie now lives in Berlin and has quit her job at the CIA. This season deals a lot with themes such as cyberterrorism and surveillance.
The episodes of the fifth season were filmed at Studio Babelsberg, where foreign productions such as Inglourious Basterds are regularly produced. However, Homeland is a premiere: It was the first US series for which a season was completely filmed in Germany (via dw.com).
Is the series good? Upon its release, Homeland received rave reviews. Season 1 garnered Rotten Tomatoes with 100% positive critic reviews. The audience rated it just a little lower with 93%.
Over all eight seasons, Homeland achieves still 85%. This is remarkable for a series that has run this long. Critics particularly praise the performance of the actors, especially that of Claire Danes. She convincingly embodies Carrie and her mental issues.
The story and its many twists would keep viewers engaged and provide good thriller entertainment. All in all, the series is a “must-see,” as Brian Tallerico of Hollywood Chicago summarizes.
The seasons after the first could not generate quite as enthusiastic reactions, but the “low point” is still a good average with 78% in season 6.
Where can you watch Homeland? In Germany, thriller fans have two convenient options to enjoy the series. Both Disney+ and Netflix currently include all eight seasons in their subscription. Have you already seen Homeland? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments. If you like gaming, you should take a closer look at the following productions: According to you, there are 9 gaming series on Netflix that are better than Henry Cavill and The Witcher

In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, only a few players were able to complete the Pokédex. The reason was special items that could only be obtained at events. For the re-release on the Nintendo Switch, Game Freak made the items accessible to all players in the title.
22 years after release, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen made it to the Nintendo Switch for the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. In these versions, players can not only collect the 151 Pokémon from the generation, but also the legendary Pokémon Lugia, Ho-Oh, and Deoxys, originally from Generation 2.
However, this was only possible at release if players had received two specific items: the Mystic Ticket and the Aurora Ticket.
The special thing: The two items could only appear in the game if players had attended an on-site event.
The downside: These events and the corresponding distribution to players were limited, which is why many Pokémon players were unable to complete the main task of completing the Pokédex. For example, those living outside of America and Japan had no way of obtaining the tickets.
However, in the FireRed and LeafGreen versions on the Nintendo Switch, the two items appear, making it easier to finally catch Lugia, Ho-Oh, and Deoxys.
As part of the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, not only were Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen brought to the Switch, but also the announcement of Generation 10. You can watch the trailer here:
Where can the Mystic Ticket and Aurora Ticket be found? The new FireRed and LeafGreen versions make it easy for you to obtain the two special tickets. To receive them, you simply need to defeat the Elite Four and the Champion, and then enter the Hall of Fame. Afterwards, the items will automatically be in your inventory.
How to catch Lugia, Ho-Oh, and Deoxys? Then it’s time for catching. With the Mystic Ticket, you can travel to the Navel Rock, where Lugia and Ho-Oh are located. The rock is an island of the Sevii Islands and can be reached by boat from Vermilion City.
The Aurora Ticket is also redeemed at the boat in Vermilion City, which will then take you to the Birth Island. Here you can challenge and catch Deoxys.
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen are a piece of childhood for many, or perhaps even the very entry into the franchise. This was also true for MeinMMO editor Niko Hernes, who knew more than his sister and used his knowledge for a prank: Due to a wrong tip, I ruined Pokémon for my little sister

Gamers see a great rivalry between ARC Raiders and Marathon, but the developers know what really matters.
This is behind the rivalry: ARC Raiders and Marathon are both extraction shooters and thus direct competitors. Since ARC Raiders has made an impressive ascent since its release in October 2025, many are now looking at Marathon, the new game from Bungie, with a comparative eye.
Marathon was free to play for the last time from February 26 to March 2 as part of the so-called Server Slams and allowed players a glimpse of the shooter’s gameplay. However, numerous clips surfaced at the start of the Server Slams showing that “ARC Raiders” was censored in the text chat of Marathon. Instead of the game title, asterisks appeared.
For many players, this is a sign of strong rivalry and shows that Bungie does not want the competitor ARC Raiders to be mentioned in their game.
This is how the ARC Raiders team reacts: The Marathon team reacted quickly and removed the censorship of the game title “ARC Raiders”. The name of the competitor can now be easily written in the chat, as Bungie also demonstrated in a screenshot from the game’s text chat. There they write: “Arc Raiders is great”.
ARC Raiders responded to the screenshot from the Marathon team and commented on it on X with the words:
“Whether you are a runner or a raider, loot is loot. We will keep a spot open for you in the shuttle.”
The developers clearly show what really matters: the loot. It does not matter which game you prefer to play. The loot does not get better or worse if you polarize some rivalry between two companies. What is more important is that you, as gamers, have fun and fill your virtual bags.
How do the two games differ? ARC Raiders and Marathon are both extraction shooters, but they have distinct differences.
There are various reasons why you can have fun with both shooters and do different things in each. It is also possible that you simply prefer one of the two games over the other. MyMMO editor Dariusz believes that Marathon might appeal to players who prefer PvP in ARC Raiders: After 3 rounds in Marathon, I am sure: We are getting a strong game that is perfect for everyone who just gets insulted in ARC Raiders

A user buys about $100 worth of Amazon returns, totaling 25 kilos. In the end, he gets lucky and receives valuable RAM. Such finds, however, are very rare, explained an expert who specializes in returns at that time.
The English-language magazine WCCFTech reports that a user bought Amazon returns. For 25 kilos, he paid about $100, which is about 80 euros. Such returns are usually boxes with unspecified contents and are often sold online as mystery boxes. In most cases, these boxes contain junk or at least worthless stuff.
In this case, the buyer got lucky: Instead of junk, the user found 40 DDR5 RAM sticks in the return. However, the chance of such a lucky hit is very low. This was also explained by an expert who specializes in buying returns.
The German magazine Stern previously explained that Ralf Hastedt, managing director of Avides, a company that has been working with Amazon in returns business for over 20 years, that most of these return boxes contain junk. It is very unlikely that one would find valuable items here, as Amazon filters out valuable products before:
This is 99.9 percent fraud. You will never find an iPhone, a Playstation, or similar goods in such boxes that Amazon can easily resell as returns on its own.
And Amazon often sells such returns directly again, and through its label Amazon Retourenkauf: Here you get a few percent discount on items that have gone back to Amazon.
Moreover, such large returns are usually only sold to businesses. That is to people who resell such items commercially. Sales to private individuals are generally not intended.
RAM has been getting more and more expensive for months, but a user seems to have gotten lucky: He ordered a stick of RAM and instead received a whole box. However, important evidence that really substantiates his purchase is still missing: User pays 280 euros for RAM, but accidentally gets a box of RAM delivered that is worth much more

The author of One Piece had early on in mind how the Straw Hat crew should ultimately look. However, some of the first designs are really disturbing.
How would the Straw Hats have almost looked? In the special book “One Piece Green: Secret Pieces,” earlier concepts of the Straw Hat crew were revealed. It shows that there were hardly any changes for Luffy, Zoro, and Nami, apart from a few minor details.
You can see the image here. The smaller image in the picture is another later draft:
There were minor changes for Sanji and Usopp. Usopp looks more like his father, and Sanji was supposed to have even more beard. Usopp is even wearing the captain’s hat and was almost the leader of the Straw Hat crew. Ultimately, he is only
the sniper of the pirate crew.
The other members are hardly recognizable:
Two members of the Straw Hat crew are completely missing. In the 10th issue of the One Piece magazine, there was a revised version of the sketch that originally contained 10 figures. The person was erased for publication. That person was the helmsman of the Straw Hat crew, Jinbe.
There remains a small man who is no longer seen in the Straw Hat crew today. He actually became the complete opposite.
What kind of small man is this? The image shows a small man on the left who was originally meant to represent Nico Robin. However, he was not supposed to be so enamored with history like the archaeologist, but rather love plants and be a botanist.
That’s why he is probably depicted with a net in the picture to catch insects and analyze them. His character trait was later transferred to Usopp, who became a plant lover after the time skip.
On Reddit, a user summarizes it quite well: He thanks the person who always exchanged the small man for Robin. Later, the archaeologist became one of the most popular characters of the Straw Hat crew.
MeinMMO editor Sophia is particularly looking forward to her appearance in the live action series on Netflix. But she is generally a fan of the villains that will appear in season 2. Who she is looking forward to aside from Robin, you can read here: I have been waiting for two years for the new season of One Piece and cannot get enough of the new villains

Space Marines, the genetically engineered supersoldiers from Warhammer 40,000, are significantly larger than “normal” humans. Accordingly, they naturally use completely oversized equipment. How big their guns really are has now been illustrated by a fan… but perhaps a bit exaggerated.
Through the many representations in video games and artworks, one can quickly forget how much larger the Astartes actually are compared to us humans. On average, Space Marines are 2.50 meters tall – many of the Primarchs, the first sons of the Emperor, are even a good bit taller.
Space Marines are genetically enhanced soldiers, literal superhumans with supernatural powers. They have additional organs and use equipment that is simply not made for humans. For one fan, however, that was no obstacle. He wanted a lifelike bolter and simply built one himself. You can admire his result on Reddit:
What kind of weapon is this? Bolters are perhaps the most famous weapon from Warhammer 40,000. The futuristic guns fire explosive projectiles, essentially small grenades, with armor-piercing effects. If you want to know more: Here’s how bolters work and what variations exist.
On Reddit, the user Bazcardz has now built an Astartes bolter, or a boltgun, in “1:1 scale” from foam, as he writes himself. For comparison, he provides several references:
For the detail lovers among you: The boltgun is painted in the colors of the Ultramarines and carries some purity seals that the user also made. But: How realistic is this size actually?
You could just drop it on someone
How does the weapon hold up? In the over 240 comments, most users doubt that a bolter would actually have such an absurd size. A Primarch could perhaps carry the weapon – a “normal” Space Marine less so.
Sure, Astartes are big, but not THAT big. However, there are also comments with pictures showing official artworks (on Reddit) and there the size of the weapon actually seems more accurate.
And we also did a bit of research. Space Marine 2, one of the newer shooters for Warhammer 40,000, portrays Space Marines extremely faithfully, something that Games Workshop paid great attention to. You can see a comparative image of Titus, a Primaris Marine, with an officer from Cadia here:
Titus Bolter may not be quite that big compared to Bazcardz’s, but it’s very close.
Either way, the work is pretty cool and impressively shows the scale of Warhammer 40,000: “Jesus, you could just drop it on someone and that would kill them.” (OdysseusTheBroken on Reddit)
In general, one doesn’t have to be too strict when it comes to sizes. Games Workshop itself has trouble getting scales right, and after all, the bolter is painted. The most important thing is that the barrel is drilled out! (A common meme, because an open barrel looks better and more realistic on the miniatures, but is often forgotten).
By the way: There are also bolters in human size
, used by high-ranking officers of the Astra Militarum, the Inquisition, and especially the warrior-priestesses of the Adepta Sororitas. However, most Astartes equipment is not suitable for humans.
So the size of the bolter may not be all that far from “reality”. At least one of the most famous Space Marines, the Traitor Horus Lupercal, has quite a substantial size, as one user has impressively shown. In her project, even a single leg of the Primarch is larger than she is: “Yes, this is his actual size” – Fan builds a statue of the greatest traitor from Warhammer 40,000, community wonders how it fits into the house

Last Friday, the 3 new starter Pokémon of Wind and Wave were introduced. One looks like an evil bird, another like a Pomeranian, and the last like a gecko. One of the starters bears a suspicious resemblance to a monster from another collectible game, at least according to the fans.
Which starter is it about? In the Pokémon Presents, the 3 new starters of the 10th generation were introduced. This time, trainers can choose between the grass bird Braubel, the fire dog Pomfifi, and the water gecko Gekkua.
Among the 3 new starters, Pomfifi is particularly favored by players. But this dog now reminds fans of a monster from another indie collectible game. The two would show many similarities, according to the players.
With whom does it bear similarities? After Pomfifi was introduced, a user noticed that the fire dog bears a suspicious resemblance to another fire dog from Cassette Beasts.
On X, there are therefore several posts in which the two dogs are compared. One user compares the two dogs in a meme that suggests they are the same image. Another user simply posts the two images side by side and lets them speak for themselves.
However, the Pomeranian from Pokémon has fluffier fur and no black body like the monster from Cassette Beasts. Furthermore, the Pokémon has a brush on its head. In terms of details, the two indeed differ.
How are the developers reacting? The developers of Cassette Beasts have also noticed this. They post on X a meme from Dexter, featuring Sgt. James Doakes with his judging look.
In the series, he is known for having a deep dislike and justified distrust of the main character from the beginning. The post is completely textless. However, fans know immediately in what context it was posted.
With Pokémon Wind and Wave, fans have to say goodbye to the Switch. The title will only be released on Switch 2. But that’s not such a bad thing, says MeinMMO editor Benedikt: Pokémon Wind and Wave finally bans the old Switch, and Nintendo couldn’t have made a better decision

The new update of Fallout 76 brings players to the “Backwoods”, including really strong loot and some surprises. Among them is a monster that has also caused quite a stir in our real world.
What update is it about? Fallout 76 will receive the next big free update on March 3, 2026. It adds the Backwoods area to the game, which you can explore alone or as a group.
In a showcase, the developers spoke with MeinMMO and other outlets about the changes that the new update and region will bring. Initially, the focus is on the public events, which have been revamped.
The goal is that the events should be more rewarding for all players. This should primarily be achieved with greater challenges, but also better loot.
Attached to this is an important innovation: the surprise enemies that can unexpectedly appear at the end of an event. The emphasis is on “can”, as their appearance is not guaranteed.
Among the strong enemies you will face is a particularly exciting monster: Bigfoot.
What is the deal with Bigfoot? The hairy monster, which has supposedly been sighted in our real world from time to time, yet whose existence remains more than dubious, wanders the backwoods of Fallout 76.
If players successfully complete an event, Bigfoot can suddenly appear and “crash the party” – as the developers say. Bigfoot is a cryptid that is supposed to challenge the players once again. If you defeat him, you will be rewarded with legendary 4-star loot – guaranteed.
However, you won’t have forever to fight the monster. A timer runs in the background that makes Bigfoot disappear after exactly five minutes. Until then, a well-equipped team should have defeated him.
Are there other legendary opponents? Bigfoot is not the only surprise guest. Other enemies like Storm Goliaths or Deathclaws can spawn, but they only drop 3-star loot. Bigfoot is the exception here.
In the initial period after the update’s release, the developers want to keep his spawn rate quite high. Regularly, however, he is supposed to appear only once per hour.
By the way, there is no quest corresponding to Bigfoot. According to the developers, the creature would fit thematically due to the forest setting. However, Bigfoot is supposed to hide a secret. What exactly that is, the team has not yet revealed.
What else does the update bring? In addition to the surprise guests and revamped events, the developers have even more news in store:
Especially the last two points are supposed to ensure, according to the developers, that every equipment in the game works equally well and is fun to use.
Simultaneously with the update, the new season called “Rip Daring and the Cryptids from Space” will start. The first week until March 10 is already marked thickly in the community calendar on the official website as “Bigfoot’s Party”.
Will you face the mysterious monster and bring home top-notch loot? Feel free to share your thoughts on the update in the comments. Although the game takes place in a post-apocalypse, the community is known to be very helpful: Fallout 76 has so many nice players that one only meets a mean guy after 1,600 hours

Windrose is the new hope in the sea of survival games. Even MeinMMO author Linda Baumgartl is excited and still can’t get enough of the pirate adventure after 10 hours of gameplay in the Steam demo.
Who wouldn’t like to feel like a pirate every now and then? At least I find the theme pretty cool, but unfortunately, I haven’t found a game on the subject that has really captivated me so far.
All the more I was looking forward to the new pirate survival game Windrose. As part of the Steam Next Fest, a free demo was released on Steam, which enjoys immense popularity. Expectations were high – and I was not disappointed.
Windrose starts with a short tutorial sequence that immediately creates a pirate feeling. Our ship is under attack and is currently being boarded by other pirates. We fight our way to the deck but are shot down by the enemy captain and go overboard.
After that, it’s time to stop with the big pirate action. We wash up on a deserted island and craft our first humble base in the best survival style. While Windrose doesn’t reinvent the (steering) wheel, it implements familiar elements well.
After a short time, the moment finally arrives: I get my first ship. Well, you can’t really call it a ship – more of a small boat. I won’t win a sea battle with that. But at least I can now explore the surrounding islands.
That’s really fun. Especially since the game looks simply great. The map marks interesting places such as ruins, ore mines, or pirate camps for me. Once I’ve looted all important objects, the marker on the map is immediately checked off – really practical.

On the way, I quickly encounter the first enemies: Dodos and wild boars. The developers describe the fights as “Soulslite,” which I would definitely agree with. Even the cute fluttering creatures, which I consider quite harmless from my experience with other games, deal quite a bit of damage. Proper timing, blocking, and dodging are therefore essential.
In addition to sabers, rapiers, and halberds, there are also ranged weapons. They feel surprisingly realistic – long reload times included. I can’t just shoot wildly. However, I actually like this part because it forces me to proceed more thoughtfully. I opt for a combination of musket and saber, which I alternate between.
Overall, the fights are challenging but not frustrating. They fit well into the setting and feel wonderfully pirate-like.

After a few hours of gameplay as a landlubber, it’s finally time for the first big naval battle. In the meantime, I have built a proper, combat-ready ship and hired a few NPCs as a crew.
Since my partner is also playing with me in co-op, we quickly divide the roles: I’m at the helm, he’s at the cannon. However, we quickly realize that our plan isn’t quite working out. While we can walk around on the ship, real interaction is only possible from the helm.
This is, on the one hand, the greatest strength, but also the greatest weakness of Windrose.
In other pirate games, especially Sea of Thieves, I often felt at a disadvantage as a single player or in a duo with my partner. The really cool big ships can only be sailed with several people there.
In Windrose, this is not the case. Here, I can also live out my dreams of being a captain in single-player mode without having to recruit three of my friends as crew members. I sail, shoot, and repair the ship all by myself, comfortably from the helm.
I personally like this. However, I can also imagine that some might be disappointed with the naval battles because they would prefer to set out together on a ship in co-op.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to reach a large pirate city in the Windrose demo yet. But if I can’t get to Tortuga, I’ll just bring Tortuga to me!
The building mode is surprisingly good and already offers a decent selection of structures and decorative items. They not only look nice, but also increase our comfort level, for which we receive a small buff.
Conveniently, we automatically access material in our chests. And the upgrades for the workbenches can be placed at will, as long as they are somewhere within the radius of the base. Such features are not a given, especially in a demo, but they greatly ease the gameplay.
I quickly lose myself in building my own small pirate settlement. My initially rather shabby house is expanded and enhanced with additional buildings and a pier.

Although I have already spent nearly 10 hours in the demo, I am itching to keep building my settlement. By the way, I’m not alone in this. The building mode is apparently so popular that the developers have started a building contest (via Steam). Anyone who loves base building will definitely have fun in Windrose.
Windrose already feels like a really solid survival game in the demo. Familiar concepts work well and are rounded off by a cool theme. Those who liked games like Ark or Conan Exiles will probably have fun here as well.
At the same time, this could particularly disappoint some players. It’s not just a pure pirate adventure, but at its core remains a classic survival title as you know it. MeinMMO author Ody also felt more like a fish out of water in Windrose. In his experience report, he explains why the game was more of a flop for him: I wanted to feel like a pirate, but a new survival game on Steam made me into a stranded Tom Hanks
