In Korea, the LOA On took place. This is the biggest event of the year for Lost Ark. The developers presented their new content there, including new raids, three new classes, and a “Major Graphics Update.” All of this is set to be released in Korea in 2023 and will also partially come to us.
What are the highlights? Right from the start, the developers announced 3 new classes:
The Slayer is expected to be released in Korea in January. There is a video about her that we have embedded here in the article. She will be a female berserker.
The Soul Eater will come later in the year. This is an assassin.
Additionally, a new male Scrapper has been teased with an image. However, specific information is still missing.

Is all of this really coming in 2023? Last year, the developers stated that they managed to incorporate 88.6% of the announced content from the LOA On into the game. If they succeed again, a large part of the content announced here will actually be released in Korea in 2023.

With Season 1, the first raid in WoW Dragonflight started, the Vault of the Incarnations. MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus looked at the raid and played through it directly – well, almost at least. Because some parts are really tough.
Because now Season 1 of Dragonflight is here along with Mythic+ dungeons, new events, and finally the first raid, the Vault of the Incarnations. I, of course, checked it all out immediately and am thrilled, even though my guild and I had a hard time. Or rather: precisely because we had a hard time.

The new raid is harder than any in years
As a progress guild, we have three raid nights per week: Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday. Right after the first night, I had the impression that the Vault is indeed a good bit harder than the raids of the last expansions.
Most of my guildmates had the same impression. We got just as far this time as in Shadowlands: all bosses except the final boss on the first night, most of them on the first attempt.
Nevertheless, the bosses offer a completely different challenge. We joked around less, were very focused, simply because we had to be. A prominent example: Sennarth, the frozen spider.
Not only does the boss constantly run away and we chase him around the arena, but there are also stairs (the final boss of every healer) and especially ice patches. These don’t just slow you down, but impose new physics on movements.
That means: acceleration is slow, but once you get going, it’s hard to brake. You have to deal with that, because:
dodging abilities on the fly doesn’t work
catching up with the group when you fall behind gets tricky
at the same time, you can cast while moving with enough momentum, while automatically dodging other things
The mechanic is quite difficult but really cool when you master it. Something similar exists with most bosses. However, they weren’t the only reason we felt the raid was harder than usual.

We die too often – ‘I’ll heal too’
Healers are currently struggling with healing, especially because the gear is lacking. Not helpful is that many DPS players – myself included – still trust that the healers will catch errors.
Everyone has an enormous amount of health points, but healing spells do not absorb as much anymore. So more healing is required. So much that we had to increase the number of healers, quite significantly.
Even that wasn’t enough. Our raid leader, a shaman, also had to chip in. Then it finally worked out. It’s a running gag for us that the boss has to heal to make it work. Many first kills we only managed that way.
This time, however, the healing requirements were simply enormous. Whether it will stay that way, we will see. I would think it’s really cool if we had to mix more often in Dragonflight. By the way: in the kill try, I actually put out the most healing. The Evoker is just amazing!

With 8 bosses, the raid is relatively small, which further suggests that the Vault is a bit tougher than its predecessors. By the way, we haven’t been able to defeat Raszageth in 2 raid nights, but we have managed to defeat the first bosses on heroic.
As preparation for the kill, our new task is: farm M+. With Season 1 also came the Keystone dungeons, including 4 of the new dungeons and 4 from the expansions of the last years. You can get really good loot there again.
I should actually be used to this, after all, Mythic+ is an activity that you grind as an active PvE player until the end. However, Dragonflight has also significantly increased in difficulty here.
Currently, I’m still struggling with 10 keys, which also has to do with my bad luck in looting. And tanks apparently have considerable difficulties doing their job – which may be due to them being heavily nerfed.
Still, I am really convinced of Season 1 so far and have a renewed desire for WoW. The new dungeons are fun, even though I haven’t seen all of them yet, and I can already see opportunities for crazy tactics and skips that will arise soon.
Shadowlands had a good conclusion with Season 4. Even big critics like Bellular see it that way. And Dragonflight builds right on that. 2 weeks after the release, I have tons of things to do, can improve in all areas, and I don’t feel like I have to pursue boring activities. I can do what I want and will always get better in some way.
There are some exceptions. For example, I need to hunt for a pretty rare recipe as a jeweler that everyone in my guild needs. And it simply won’t drop… but that’s complaining on a high level. So far, I find: from a raider’s perspective, Dragonflight is a huge success.

The best monsters on Community Day in December
Trikephalo
Trikephalo is the best dark attacker in the game, and it’s not been long since it was extremely rare. If you don’t have one, you should secure one – if you only have one, you should secure more.
Attack: Trikephalo learns Whirlwind, its ideal attack as a dark attacker.
Knakrack
Knakrack is an absolute top attacker of the ground type. If you don’t have it yet, you should definitely try to get one or more. It’s also a good monster in the Master League. Moreover, its Mega evolution is still pending, which will make it even more powerful.

In Pokémon GO is running this weekend the double Community Day from December 17th to December 18th, 2022. A whole bunch of Pokémon can be caught there. We look at the start, bonuses, and all the information that is important for the event.
This is the event: The Community Day takes place every month in Pokémon GO and always focuses on a specific monster.
The December event is however a special case: It lasts for two days and brings all monsters from the Community Days of 2022 and 2021 once more.

How to get the moves? Special moves are available for the final evolutions of the event monsters. You have to collect enough candy to evolve the monsters so you can get the moves – because you only have time to get them this weekend.

Synced, the new loot shooter launched its free open beta on Steam on December 10. Initially, it flew under the radar, but it is now exciting fans of Division and Destiny 2. We tried out the game and show what to expect as a runner in a sci-fi post-apocalypse.
What kind of game is this? The new loot shooter Synced could best be called the first AAA roguelite. You can expect hordes of enemies in PvE as well as extractions in PvP.
But Synced does not stick to the classic zombie concept. In the match-based shooter, you rather shoot at futuristic nano-machines. These have gone rogue and have now become wild, predatory creatures wanting to get at you in the world of Meridian. They share a similarity with zombies in that they use dead humans to reproduce.
At first glance, the game already meets several of my must-haves for shooter criteria:
The story about a sci-fi post-apocalypse and the characters’ stories sound like a futuristic version of The Walking Dead.
It is not a single-player game. I can blast through hordes of enemies with my friends. However, there is also a player search.
Plenty of items to loot and, of course, weapons to find and upgrade with scopes, magazines, and more.
As you rank up, you get new weapons. Using them further improves them.
Futuristic abilities allow you to further define and push your own character.
The biggest plus of Synced is, however, the “Primes,” which will become my nano-buddies in the game.
And for my team and me, these were enough reasons to give the free-to-play loot shooter Synced a chance during its open beta. There are elements for both The Division 2 and Destiny 2 fans that they might enjoy.

The tutorial is already impressive: When the introduction mission starts, I am surprised by the first impression. Visually, Synced in its open beta looks quite solid, stable, and is certainly impressive.
As I continue, the first enemies appear. Here we are dealing with the mostly harmless “wild” Legions-Nanos. I’m increasingly enjoying the first shots from my weapon in third-person perspective. So, I first blast away everything that comes at me.
Once the small group is cleared, follow the path while completing the usual jumping and sliding sections to find yourself standing in front of one of the larger nano-primes. They have weak points that you need to shoot at.
Nano-Primes are enemies and the strongest ability at the same time
Your nano companions make you stronger in Synced.
Nano-assimilation is a must in Synced: If such a Prime dies, you’ve initially gotten rid of one more threat. However, this also opens up the option to synchronize with this dead nano-prime. Thus, the enemy becomes your best buddy through assimilation and simultaneously the strongest player ability in Synced.
Once assimilated, I can strategically and meaningfully unleash my selected nano-buddy on the enemies as an active fighter.
Or I can carry him in a passive state on my arm, where he, for example, increases the strength of my melee attacks.
With this knowledge, I am sent to Haven, the social hub in the Synced shooter. There, I interact with various NPCs and discover that I can switch both my character and my nano-buddies.

On the map, mod changers are distributed where you can buy and apply mods during the mission. The “Nerva credits” you need for that come from kills via resources dropped by enemies. The mods themselves become more expensive the further you progress. The former are temporary. However, you can also find permanent improvements in the matches, for example during events.
At the upgrade stations, you buy advantages during the missions that apply in the mission.
Our first mission failed when the nanos gained the upper hand, and no one could revive anymore. At this point, I regretted that I hadn’t purchased the regeneration ability from the mod offers. But the explosions were just too beautiful. So everyone went back to the base for another attempt.
This is how missions run in PvP: In PvP, you are also in a 3-man team, which, however, must compete against 3 other 3-man teams. The nanos are still mixed in. However, the bigger threat is the other players. Like you, they want to get to the automated harvesting drones to extract the Nerva from there first. My conclusion on the shooter Synced
The loot shooter has definitely surprised me positively. Good graphics, precise movements, and fast gunplay already scored points with me. Although the individual areas were not as diverse as I had hoped. However, this could change at release.
Nanos bring fresh air into the shooter: The idea with the nanos is successful. It does not reinvent the tried-and-true shooter recipe but brings a certain finesse to the gameplay. Still, there were times when my nano-companion blocked my view of the enemies, thus reducing the pleasure of clearing them away myself. However, this changed somewhat when the fights became tougher, and I was glad that he stood right in front of me at the right moment. Moreover, ultimately, it is always my decision whether I use him or call him back.
Players can also expect regular events in Synced in addition to the missions.
How does Synced compare to other shooters? Even if the gunplay is relatively solid, one is still demanded more by other shooters. When handling weapons, I had the impression that some enemies’ hitboxes in Synced are still a bit too large. In my opinion, a bit more challenge and precision could be required from me.
At least in a lighter version, much can be done with weapons and attachments, where Division 2 fans might particularly find themselves. Although you cannot take cover in Synced.
Destiny 2 players will probably only have temporary fun with Synced. Due to the third-person perspective, this shooter, like The Final Descendant, will likely not fall into a guardian’s preferred gunplay feeling. Discovery and secrets also play less of a role – things have to go quickly, and there is no open world where you can move freely.
Also, the characters in Synced are too monotonous for me. Something that is very important to many players in Destiny 2 – the appearance – gets little attention. The cosmetics hardly make up for this. I simply think that the different heroes with fixed roles and faces hurt individuality. This, in turn, makes it harder for me to identify with my own character and makes the glory wall with the PvP leaderboards in the social hub look strange.

If you want to fish, you can’t get past the Tuskarr from Iskaara in Dragonflight. Therefore, it is worth participating regularly in soup cooking to gain reputation with the Tuskarr.
However, you can also simply fish for reputation with the faction – thus gaining a significant advantage.
As you increase the glory levels of the Tuskarr, you not only unlock nets and harpoons but can also upgrade these so that more fish are contained in the nets or that these nets fill faster.
