What’s happening this week: As previously announced at the start of Season 19, the Exotic mission “Operation: Seraph’s Shield” is set to launch today in Destiny 2. To successfully complete this mission, Guardians must gain access to the safest facility in the solar system: a BrayTech orbital platform above the Last City. After that, it is necessary to break through various security levels each week to awaken Rasputin before it’s too late.
Some players also suspect that the mysterious objects that have appeared throughout the solar system are connected to this Exo mission. These include the yellow orbs that look like surveillance drones from Clovis Bray. After all, there are currently almost 50 of them. Additionally, there are the Häkke terminals in the Lost Sectors.

The Guardians must now prevent the mockery from using these facilities again.
This week’s Nightfall weapon: As a reward for your run, you always receive a special Nightfall weapon. With the grenade launcher “Wendigo” and the scout rifle “Disunity,” Bungie has selected two Guardian favorites, which will later also be available in a master version during Season 19.

PvP battles from MMORPGs in MOBA format
What kind of game is Warlander? Warlander is an action MMO in third-person perspective with a unique setting that combines classic medieval and fantasy elements with robots and powerful siege weapons.
In Warlander, you can enter battles as a warrior, cleric, or mage. These classes work as you would expect from classic MMORPGs:
Warrior – Specializes in melee combat, can tank or deal significant damage
Cleric – Specializes in support, can heal allied units or assist with buff spells
Wizard – Specializes in ranged combat, can cast powerful spells
For each of these classes, you can unlock abilities that allow you to fully customize the classes to your play style. The battles themselves resemble PvP skirmishes from MMORPGs like Guild Wars 2, Elder Scrolls Online, or Warhammer Age of Reckoning.
How does the gameplay work? Warlander offers you two different game modes:
In conquest mode, you join one of two armies and then try to capture a fortress. A total of 80 players must use siege weapons, among other things, to bring down the fortress walls.
In the 5-army mode, a total of 100 players face each other in epic battles. The gameplay is more like a battle royal, as the army that remains at the end wins.
The game principle promises multi-layered action, as you cannot neglect the strategic aspect. You must make tactical decisions and find the right time for your offensive. However, you can also win through defensive strategies and diplomacy; the decision is entirely up to you.

Valve has taken harsh action against 10 players of the MOBA DOTA 2 (Steam) on December 18, who are primarily from Russia: Their accounts have been permanently banned from all events organized by Valve. PGL has also joined the ban. This effectively ends the professional careers of these 10 players. This also affects 20-year-old players who had a long and potentially lucrative career ahead of them.
What kind of players are they? The 10 players are mostly Russian professionals from teams competing in DOTA 2.
What does the ban mean for them? The players have been banned for life from all events organized by Valve. The PLG league has joined the ban.
This means that the 10 players are virtually never again able to play DOTA 2 professionally, as the two organizations host almost all tournaments in DOTA 2.
What did the players do? The players were punished for sharing their accounts and pretending to be someone else.
They apparently helped teams through the open qualifiers by secretly playing for these teams while others lent them their accounts.
This made it possible for players to compete for multiple teams in the same competition.
How is this viewed? The site Dotesports believes that Valve’s early tough stance at the beginning of a season is a sign that they are tightening the reins and working more towards a fair playing field.
Normally, Valve is considered rather distant and only intervenes when a scandal is present.
After the first weeks of leveling, the Guardians in Destiny 2 have started to create the first meta builds of Season 19. They have access to some new perks and weapons for this, such as the glaive “Judgment of Kelgorath.” With this powerful tool and a new perk, a Guardian has now created a mega build that probably makes every boss tremble.
What kind of build is this? The newly discovered build is a solar setup for Titans. The YouTuber Plunderthabooty developed it and combined his burning abilities, which provide him with high damage resistance, with the Season 19 glaive “Judgment of Kelgorath.”
The solar glaive “Judgment of Kelgorath” is new in Season 19 and can drop with the also new perk “Close to Melee.”
Close to Melee: Glaive projectile melee kills improve glaive melee damage. Glaive projectiles or melee damage extend the duration.

Especially with glaives, the option for quick melee attacks has already proven to be very effective at the start of “The Witch Queen.” You could slice through small and mighty enemies in seconds. However, the new glaive from Season 19 perfects this with a few additional ability buffs many times over and now lets bosses melt away as well.

What do I need for the build? First of all, you need a solar Titan. You then equip this Titan with the new glaive of Season 19 “Judgment of Kelgorath” with the perk “Close to Melee.”
What is a “glaive”? The glaive is a new weapon class in Destiny 2 that was integrated into the game with the current expansion “The Witch Queen.” It is the only weapon that combines 4 combat options: projectile weapon, sword, shield, and spear. Additionally, the glaive has changed the way you can play Destiny 2 through its mix of offense and defense. – You can target a projectile from a distance to fire at your enemies. – Quick melee attacks can slice through small and mighty enemies in seconds. – With the shield, you can block almost everything, even annoying shots from snipers. – The combination of blocking and melee attack feels particularly strong.
Normally, Guardians would have to rely on luck for the perfect roll. But since the introduction of weapon crafting in Destiny 2, that’s different. Now you only need luck to get the plan for this weapon 5 times – no longer the right perks. After that, you can build the glaive in the Enclave weaponsmith on Mars as you need it.

How do you play the build? When playing, you need to be somewhat routine and try to maintain the “Radiant” buff of your Titan while you get kills with the glaive’s melee and projectiles.
In the first step, you need to deal a projectile melee kill with your legendary solar glaive. With the perk “Close to Melee,” the glaive melee damage is directly increased by 30%.
By glaive projectiles or glaive melee damage, you now extend the duration of this damage buff. In combination with the Titan’s solar abilities, namely his aspects and fragments, you can then also increase the total damage with the solar glaive to an incredible level. This works through “Radiant” as this further increases the damage. So you have between 8 and 12 seconds time after a kill to remain “Radiant.”
If you then also use the Tractor Cannon, you stack another 30%. However, there is also the option for another player to equip this weapon if you are in a team.
This is your life insurance in the build: “Restoration” serves as solid life insurance for you. It is triggered by solar spots and can also be extended by solar weapons or ability kills. If it gets tight, the healing grenade will ultimately save you, which you just need to throw at your feet.
If you manage to stack the buffs to the optimum, it is then no longer a problem to deal a whopping 82,000 damage per glaive hit. With this damage output, almost every boss is completely destroyed with 3 to 4 hits.
Our recommendation: Definitely give it a try. Such a high damage output could quickly end up on Bungie’s balancing list.

Trymacs apparently expected good entertainment and content for his own channel from the meeting of these personalities. He had already reacted to a previous part of the conversation, and this video again promised one thing: a lot of secondhand embarrassment.

How did Trymacs get pulled in? While ApoRed, Leon Machère, and The Militant Vegan were eating vegan burgers together, they talked about the online presence of the animal rights activist.
The vegan admitted that behind her seemingly radical behavior is indeed a concept. She thought about how to best help the animals and made use of her marketing experience.
ApoRed commented on the explanation by saying that the vegan has “activated the Trymacs”. Upon hearing his name mentioned, Trymacs immediately perked up. The Twitch streamer did not understand what this statement was supposed to mean – or why it suddenly was about him.
Trymacs is not a “real rabbit” like ApoRed
What does “activating the Trymacs” mean? ApoRed explains that Trymacs poses as “lost”, meaning he acts more clueless than he actually is. The YouTuber further explains that Trymacs is simply not a “real rabbit” like himself and without cameras, he is probably very different than how he appears.
All Trymacs can think of is: “Oh, shit.”
A so-called streamer persona is not unusual and is an important part of some people’s brand. Think of Dr. Disrespect, who only appears on stream with a wig and sunglasses. Or the WoW streamer Asmongold, whose own persona became too much for him.
However, Trymacs wants nothing to do with it; he insists on being authentic.
How does Trymacs react? He is initially completely stunned. Especially from ApoRed, Trymacs apparently does not want to be accused of something like that: “The real rabbit? Everything he said on camera, his entire videos, everything was a lie!”
Moreover, according to Trymacs, he cannot pretend that much. After all, he has been live for 1,800 hours this year, films an additional one and a half hours of podcast, and appears in other videos as well; how is he supposed to manage to constantly put on an act.
Trymacs describes himself as a “YouTuber/Streamer without skill” and has already created content from being pulled along in the shooter Valorant by his friends. And yes, even these lack of skills are supposed to be authentic:

The Twitch streamer Tectone is going through a tough time: On December 15, he announced his separation from his wife, and on the same day, allegations against his best friend Rich Campbell were also made public. In a stream, Tectone spoke about the events and was overwhelmed by emotion.

What is the situation with Tectone? The Twitch streamer Tectone announced the end of his 10-year relationship with the V-Tuber Fream on December 15. Tectone wrote on Twitter: “I lost her” and linked a longer TwitLonger post in which he explained everything.
The couple initially wanted to take a temporary break from their relationship, but now they made the separation final. Tectone stated that he did not want to take a break, contrary to rumors – he needs the love and support of his community now more than ever.
Moreover, Tectone thanked his organization One True King (OTK): it is the best thing that ever happened to him. OTK was founded in 2020 by 5 MMO nerds around the WoW streamer Asmongold, and Tectone became the 9th member in November 2021.
However, 2 founding members of the organization are currently missing: Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo was suspended indefinitely in September. An internal investigation is ongoing against him for allegedly covering up sexual harassment by a friend streamer.
On December 15, the same day Tectone announced his separation, Twitch streamer Azalia Lexi publicly made allegations against the next OTK founder, Rich Campbell. For Tectone, who was close friends with Rich Campbell, this evidently became too much at once.
In a stream on December 18, Tectone spoke about the current situation and became extremely emotional.

What kind of stream was that? On December 18, Tectone started a stream lasting nearly 3 1/2 hours, in which he wanted to address “everything that has happened” and talk about “the future of the channel.” The latter refers to his podcast “Noodle Shop.”
What did Tectone have to say? The streamer confirmed once again the end of his marriage. Tectone emphasized that he and Fream had separated amicably and still had a lot of friendship for each other – however, she kept 3 of their shared cats.

On December 13, the shooter High on Life was released on PC and Xbox. Just a few days later, it became the most popular game on Xbox Game Pass. That’s good for the game – but not so much for the Game Pass.
What kind of shooter is this? High on Life was first presented at the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase and was one of the highlights of gamescom 2022. The completely wacky shooter comes from one of the creators of the crazy adult cartoon Rick & Morty: Justin Roiland, the voice of Rick and Morty.
High on Life strikes the same chord as the cartoon, even though they have nothing to do with each other: Aliens are invading Earth and using humans as drugs. You play as a bounty hunter who hunts these aliens with sentient weapons.
The shooter is a mix of action-adventure and Metroidvania, where you blast your way through various levels, defeat bosses, and collect upgrades for yourself and your various weapon friends.
High on Life beats Minecraft in Game Pass – Is it lacking hits?
The start is this good: High on Life had to deal with issues at launch, which were already resolved with the first hotfix a few days later. Accordingly, the ratings are mixed:
On Metacritic, High on Life has a score of 67 and a user score of 7.8 in the PC version.
On Steam, High on Life is doing well with a proud 90% positive reviews.
In fact, the shooter is quite popular. Since day 1, it has been playable with a subscription in Xbox Game Pass and has risen to the top of the most popular games, even surpassing Minecraft. The Vice President of Xbox Games tweeted about this success:

High on Life is now above top titles and long-running hits like LEGO Star Wars, Minecraft, and Forza Horizon 5. However, it’s hard to say how many players the shooter actually has, as insights are lacking within Game Pass.
Isn’t that a success? Definitely for the game. But for Xbox and the Game Pass, this could be a potentially negative sign, as US site Kotaku points out. Because High on Life is a new IP and not a big AAA game.
In 2022, Xbox is missing big releases of its own production, such as Age of Empires 4 or Halo: Infinite from the previous year. Next to such heavyweights, High on Life would likely have gone unnoticed.
