The leveling in World of Warcraft has been drastically accelerated. Especially the new areas are in true turbo mode.
The Patch 12.0.7 has been live in World of Warcraft for several days. It brought some new content bites. Among them a raid, but also the two new mini-worlds Naigtal and Val. They are quite challenging on heroic difficulty, but unlocking them is definitely worth it. Because you can use the new areas to level your characters to maximum level in no time.
Why are the new areas worthwhile? Blizzard wanted to give characters an alternative leveling method and has therefore increased the XP rewards in many places. This has a particularly drastic effect on the new areas, namely Naigtal and Val. Because there, world quests and events give three times the amount of experience points that is normally usual. Thus, a world quest is worth as much as 2–3 normal quests – and usually also completed within a few minutes, sometimes even in seconds.
For this reason, it is worthwhile to include Naigtal and Val in your leveling route when you want to level more characters to 90.
Do you have to unlock this first? Yes. In order for characters to access Val and Naigtal, you must have unlocked it beforehand on a level 90 character. But it’s quick, the quest line takes about 20 minutes. After that, all your characters can use the portal in the Twisting Nether to travel to the active area and collect rewards even during the leveling phase.
Level from 80 to 90 in just under 3 hours
How to level up the fastest? If you want to level a character from level 80 to 90, the best way to go about it is as follows:
- Complete all 10 Depths at level 1, accepting the quest for the Depth at the entrance. Don’t turn in these quests yet. This takes about an hour and gets you to level 81.
- Activate the War Mode.
- Then travel to Naigtal or Val (depending on which area is active), and complete all active world quests here.
- After that, return to Silvermoon and complete the weekly events – the festivities in the Immersang Forest, a relic in Harandar, and the abundance quest (but not the Stormarion event in the Twisting Nether, that takes too much time).
- Then travel back to Naigtal or Val. There are new world quests that you can complete.
- Now you should already be level 86 or even 87. Turn in all Depth quests with the War Mode activated and you should be 90.
Depending on how quickly and effectively you proceed, this takes about 3 hours. If you take a bit longer in the Depths, it could also take 4 hours.
Do you have alternative ways of leveling secondary characters in World of Warcraft? What do you think is the fastest way to reach the maximum level? Would you do anything differently on this path?
By the way, not only leveling has improved; soon the raids will also be – because the loot will be drastically increased in value!
